Rizolia May 2015
Sadly it seems that some isolated incidents have hampered the gorgeous villas in Lithakia. Being away from home should always reflect responsibility with keeping safe and secure be it with sun cream or accommodation. We have just returned home from another fantastic stay at Rizolia Villas. Louise is always at hand to offer any support (if needed) and friendly advise and I may add a cheeky smile.. therefore simply visiting the surrounding area surely should re affirm how local people live so if not having access to a washing machine or dishwasher is not a concern then step this way. I am happy to be contacted with regards to the local amenities and surrounding areas of interest that we have utilised and experienced. I must add that the maintenance and cleanliness has always been of a high standard. P.S. we always visit Koiliomenos and enjoy Orange Pie at their café / restaurant by the bell tower, Sophia (daughter) and (Maria) mother are very welcoming with comfort and smiles..More

BEWARE OF THE BURGLARS!!!!!!!!!!!
we have been uncertain about leaving this review, as we thought our experience could have been a one off, but after reading a previous review we thought we should. we was in villa 1 and the holiday was going very well (apart from the hundreds of wasps nesting outside).we went to bed on the third night and forgot to lock the outer doors, but we had locked the patio doors.luckily we had decided to sleep downstairs, and my wife is a very light sleeper.at 6am my wife woke me in a frightfull state and said she could hear someone trying to break in the patio door.i jumped up and sure enough there was a hooded figure with a large steel bar bent at one end trying to open the door from the outside. fortunately when the person saw me he ran off empty handed, leaving his steel bar stuck in the door. at once i tried to wake the caretaker but couldn't. we then rang the thomson rep who came at once and assured us we was safe and it had never happened before, and it was pointless ringing the police. she made out a report and arranged to move us to a different villa on the site. i inspected all the other doors in the villa and sure enough most of them had damage in the same area.the other villa was much the same but on the other side of the site, and guess what? the doors in this villa had evidence of being forced in the same way.there is obviously an ongoing problem with a gang of thieves in this area, so please LOCK YOUR OUTER DOORS.would we return? NO THANKS...More
Gorgeous location and wonderful hosts
Just back from a 2 week stay at Villa 2 at rizolia and would highly recommend it! The villa itself is clean and spacious and ideal for our family of six ! The 18year olds stayed downstairs in the master room as had it's own bathroom - a necessity with 2 teenage girls , our boys slept in the twin room with balcony and we were in the double room which was small but had adequate storage. Nikos the owner was amazing, so helpful and polite . Our villa was cleaned every other day and was easy to maintain as it was so spacious . Our only complaint was the hardness of the mattress. Loved it! More
"The best holiday ever!"
While a little reluctant to leave a glowing review (and not make these villas popular) my family and I can only conclude that this has been a fantastic trip- with my four-year-old daughter still being consoled that we had to come home. The accommodation was first class and, having read reviews on the villas beforehand and concerns with regards to security, we were reassured to find that the family looking after the complex were forever working on the complex (tending their vegetables, watering the gardens etc.) throughout the day and late evening. Any initial trepidation caused by the reports were quelled and I will certainly be returning to the villas next year for "Best Holiday Ever #2".More
We are currently on holiday at Rizolia Villas and unfortunately return home in a couple of days, we have had a great time on our first visit to Zante. The villas are set in a very rural area surrounded by Olive trees and sounds of the Greek countryside ,cows chickens and what we think is the sound of a peacock plus the many small green lizards that scatter about. Overall the grounds and exterior of the villas is are immaculate and all trees and shrubs are kept in a fantastic condition,as for the swimming pool this is also kept in a great condition with clear blue water even if a little on the cold side in May. The interior of the villa is kept spotless and apart from a slightly dated kitchen there is little to complain about, it is bright and airy with a very comfortable feel that soon makes you feel at home. The beds are a little on the hard side for us but overall we slept well on what looks to be new mattresses for this summer. Louise our Thompson rep left us a pack with every thing you could need for your stay from directions to towns restaurants super markets and beaches.we did not need to contact her once on our trip as all the we needed was at hand. I must say that our trip has been great and I would recommend not just Zante but also Rizolia Villas to both freinds and family.More
