Rizolia 1 & 2

These charming villas combine a secluded hillside location with elegant interiors and private pools. These spacious villas are part of a private development of 10 properties. They’re bordered by mature olive groves, so they feel very secluded, and their elevated hillside position offers up views of the nearby mountains and coastline.

Each villa is designed in the tradition sugar-cube Ionian style and made from Zakynthian stone. Each has a shaded veranda that opens out onto a private section of the gardens which, though landscaped, feel very natural. A private pool adds a touch of luxury, and conifers between each building give you plenty of privacy.

Inside, exposed white stone walls and polished ochre floors create a rustic yet elegant feel. Light pours in from the windows and French doors. There are 3 bedrooms in each villa – one has all-white decor and organza drapes over the bed.

These villas are just outside the village of Lithakia, a 40-minute walk down a shaded path from a picturesque bay. There are several mountain villages within a 10-minute drive. Mouzaki, which dates back to 1521, is one of Zante’s oldest. And Pantokratoras is well known for its Church of the Saviour, which showcases a collection of Byzantine screens.
