The Ionis Art mixes style and location. You’ve got the strip on the doorstep and the beach two minutes’ walk away, while the hotel lines up art-filled interiors and themed bedrooms.
This place is right on Laganas’ strip, so you’ve got bars and clubs just steps away. The beach is only two minutes’ stroll away, too. And in a nod to the name, the hotel’s crammed with Greek and modern art.
Stylish bedrooms are done up in different themes, with extras like leopard-print linens and Chinese mirrors. They have iPod docks for in-room music, plus soundproofed windows so everything’s nice and peaceful.

Worst Breakfast Ever!! Room Charge Con!
We have recently returned from a week at the ionis art hotel, we have stayed in numerous 4*hotels and had chosen this hotel (and paid several hundred pounds more) as it was advertised as 4* bed and breakfast. "Breakfast" considered of two types of cereal (which got stuck in the cheap plastic dispensers every day), stale sliced bread to toast, scrambles egg, hard booked egg, sliced ham, sliced cheese and a limited number of stale croissants. If you were lucky enough to be one of the first to breakfast then you could have some pieces of watermelon. Oh and dilute orange juice!! Towels weren't changed every other day, until we complained at reception, receptionist was rude and seemed put out by our request. Got the feeling they are used to dealing with teenagers and therefore spoke to us like that. No atmosphere round pool or bar, nothing happening at hotel unless you paid a fortune to join in on the "Scene" nights from thomsons. On arrival we were charged 60 euros for use of fridge, aircon and safe. We were told we would normally have to pay 30 euros each as a deposit on room but as a special offer we could receive these three essentials as part of this price. I have NEVER had to pay for aircon or a fridge at any resort or hotel. Fab location, could be an amazing hotel but the breakfast, the rudeness/lack of enthusiasm of the staff and the room charges let this place down.More
nice hotel but wouldnt stay again
the hotel itself was lovely and clean but i would not stay here again due to extra payments that have to be made upon arrival, ie. air con, safe, fridge and deposit. They only change the towles every 2 days and while i was there my bedsheets were made but not once changed. i didnt even see the reps while i was there apart from when they were selling us events upon arrival. The pool was nice and big but a strict no food or drinks policy from outside of the hotel which i think was silly. The continental breakfast was strickly toast, crossaints and tea. simply not worth the money paidMore
The hotel staff are very attentive and welcoming, the hotel was always clean and the rooms were very nice. The pool bar offered snacks and lots of cocktails which were a reasonable price. The location of the hotel was great as it lies on the strip and the reps were great, each night there were various activities and nights out. I left an expensive ring in my room and the hotel staff were great as they found the ring and posted it to me which was really helpful. I would definitely recommend Ionis Art Hotel for anyone thinking of staying in Zante.More
The reps were the highlight of our holiday!
Me, my sister and one of our friends (The Neil's) booked our holiday through Thomson. When we arrived at the hotel one of our reps called Liz was standing outside the hotel waiting for us to arrive with a massive smile on her face. Liz managed a "welcome meeting" and talked us through all of the events and the best tips for our sick nights out. Our other rep called Adam was also helping out with the welcome meeting and introduced himself, they are both very confident and you can tell they enjoy their job. One thing I really like is they do not pressure you into buying events that your not sure of, they both give you plenty of time to think things over. We stayed in Zante for 11 nights, there wasn't 1 day were we did not have one our reps not say hello to us. The reps really put a positive atmosphere within the hotel and everyone felt like a family, especially on family nights it's a great opportunity to make new friends within your hotel. On our event nights out such as the "full moon" party, Liz and Adam was determined to involve everyone and ensure no one was left out. Adam also recommended a curry, that was an absolute banger and I give him a 10/10 for that. Liz was the holiday mum, who would give you a big kiss at half 1 in the morning also 10/10. Leaving both of the reps was truly heartbreaking as they are both not the "typical reps" on holiday, they are honestly like true friends and will help you with anything. There is also a security guard called Nicos, he is amazing and really makes an effort to get to know all of the guest and will help you with anything. For example, our aircon broke on our first night and as an replacement he bought us up a fan to cool our room. He was always up for a conversation with you every time you walk in at half 3 and can barely stand. There is also another security guard unsure of what his name was, but he helped me with my leg when I had a dressing on it (fell over completely sober - don't know how that happened) but he told me to call reception if I needed any help. He also removed unwanted guests at out hotel door with no second thought. Over all, I couldn't ask for better reps or security. You really feel safe, and welcomed. I enjoyed the reps so much it's made me apply for a scene rep for next year with Thomson. Thank you all so much for a wicked holiday!More
first holiday to Laganas on my own
I have recently returned from the Ionis art Hotel it was a trip for 2 weeks on my own and on arrival I was met by Liz and Adam the scene reps I wasn't given a welcome drink but was taken to be told about the events and I booked 3 I only attended one due to making friends in the resort and once when wasn't well I can recommend the foam party and rain party at Zeroes which I went on on my first day the free bar doesn't include Smirnoff Ice tho so I didn't bother with it. I stayed in room 230 overlooking the pool what a beautiful room, Tv comfortable bed and the room was cleaned daily by the friendly cleaners, the towels were changed every second day if you wanted extra there was a small charge, I chose the air con fridge and safe package which cost me 100 Euro as a special price for the two weeks don't fall asleep with the air con as it gave me a bad throat, but the room was lovely. I didn't have breakfast due to having a lie in and you wasn't disturbed by anybody your room was cleaned and sheets changed whilst you were out of the hotel. The drinks at the pool bar were very refreshing and they do food also if you require this. The Manager at the Hotel is called Caroline is a lovely lady who will tell you about the island and what it has to offer and is a lovely friend to have, the reception staff are all very good as well Natasha was my favourite always chatty and lovely smile made my holiday. The security men were a great laugh when I came in at night Angelos and Nikos kept me safe and all the guests and showed you repect if you behaved there was noise from a group one night but they were quickly warned to behave. I'm back in Laganas 8th September but hotel was full as its near the end of season but I will be back at the Ionis Art on the 8th June 2018 I'm looking forward to seeing you all again. The hotel has everything nearby the beach, restaurants etc so is ideal. Thank you for a great holiday. Carl Barratt Room 230More
