The Ionis Art mixes style and location. You’ve got the strip on the doorstep and the beach two minutes’ walk away, while the hotel lines up art-filled interiors and themed bedrooms.
This place is right on Laganas’ strip, so you’ve got bars and clubs just steps away. The beach is only two minutes’ stroll away, too. And in a nod to the name, the hotel’s crammed with Greek and modern art.
Stylish bedrooms are done up in different themes, with extras like leopard-print linens and Chinese mirrors. They have iPod docks for in-room music, plus soundproofed windows so everything’s nice and peaceful.
These double rooms are a great base for exploring your local area. Inside rooms are simple and bright while outside you'll find a balcony for some extra space. If you'd like air-conditioning*, a safety deposit box* and a fridge* then you'll be able to request these in resort. Just so you know a refundable breakage deposit of €30 per person is payable on arrival.

Basic for party goers - staff could do with an attitude adjustment
2 parts to this review. Positive part - if your coming to zante as a girls/lads holiday this place is perfect, it's on the strip, the food in the hotel is good ( don't know about breakfast i was never up in time) drinks are good as well and surprisingly not to loud for it being a scene hotel (however if you have a room situated right next to the strip it might be a bit loud but if you've been drinking you'll not notice when you clonk out). All in all it's not bad at all, there is obviously the extra prices for air con etc but it's the same in every hotel out there so don't be to harsh about it.
Bad part - every night we came in there were the security guards who basically just like to judge/make fun of you. Some nights are better than others with them. Same goes for the bartender Zack who can be equally super friendly as he can be super unfriendly. I barely spoke to the receptionists so no comment on them. I think if their wanting to stop bad reviews then someone need to speak to these guys about how they treat the guests cause unfriendly staff is a big thing when choosing a hotel and i wouldn't want to stay anywhere i felt uncomfortable and it's obviously an issue at the ionis from the amount of reviews ive read talking about the same people.
I'll be returning to zante for 2016 and have recommended this hotel to my friends as it is very convenient and in my opinion one of the better hotels in laganas so if i do end up here i would like to drunkenly stagger to my room in peace without having nicos and his pal make a comment about meMore

Had a fantastic stay at the ionis hotel. Staff were extremely friendly happy and very helpful. Would definitely recommend staying. Local beaches are beautiful. Highly advise to take a tour to Kerri caves and turtle spotting. Horse riding was amazing riding along the beach. Such beautiful scenery :) More
Really friendly and GREAT location
So me and my girls stayed in the Ionis for a week and honestly had the best time! Hotels is RIGHT on the main strip - super lively right at the end where all the best clubs and bars are. McDonalds, a chicken place just like kfc, pizza hut and loads of food places literally on our door step, I got so fat!! The hotel charges you 30 euros which you get back at the end if you dont damage or break anything. Maria who runs the hotel was so friendly and nice and the staff were always willing to help, even when we came back in a complete state especially after the vvip boat party â my friend was so drunk and threw up all by the pool but they were so understanding (FYI anyone who comes to zante MUST do the vvip yacht party, itâs by far the BEST event weve EVER done even compared to malia and Ibiza!!!!) Would deffo stay at the Ionis again, really young scene with 18-30s reps, breakfast was ok but we were so tired and hungover we couldnât be bothered to go out to eat when we first got up. No complaints really thank you ïMore

what a lovely hotel
what a well run and beautiful hotel this is we were welcomed with a smiling face at reception and were booked in to room 304 facing the pool nothing was too much trouble we just had to ask and it was done, we really enjoyed our stay here, and on the night before we left we were given a bottle of wine in a bucket of ice with a vase full of roses completely free as the hotel was closing the next day at the end of their season, we were told that we could keep our room free of charge till it was time to get the coach to the hotel.
a big thank you to caroline and her staff for a wonderful stay.More

and seemed to love their job.
the room's are lovely, well kept, and very clean.
the owner Maria and her daughter Caroline were the icing on the cake treating everybody like personal friends making you feel very welcome and always having time for a chat, all in all a lovely hotel in a good position, would love to go again.
just one thing , I would not like to go there in peak season as we are a couple of a certain age , and I think it would be too manic for us, also too hot but the last week in September the weather was perfect for us we didn't need the air con at all,
so ,thank you everybody , at iona art you make a great team.More
