The Ionis Art mixes style and location. You’ve got the strip on the doorstep and the beach two minutes’ walk away, while the hotel lines up art-filled interiors and themed bedrooms.
This place is right on Laganas’ strip, so you’ve got bars and clubs just steps away. The beach is only two minutes’ stroll away, too. And in a nod to the name, the hotel’s crammed with Greek and modern art.
Stylish bedrooms are done up in different themes, with extras like leopard-print linens and Chinese mirrors. They have iPod docks for in-room music, plus soundproofed windows so everything’s nice and peaceful.
These double rooms are a great base for exploring your local area. Inside rooms are simple and bright while outside you'll find a balcony for some extra space. If you'd like air-conditioning*, a safety deposit box* and a fridge* then you'll be able to request these in resort. Just so you know a refundable breakage deposit of €30 per person is payable on arrival.

Hotel is clean and lovely. But swamped with party kids! If you want to party this is place if not it becomes irritating quite quickly! You have to pay a deposit on arrival for your tv remote?! Very much on the strip in Zante.More
Perfect hotel for a party goer!
Always a little worried when booking hotels for Party Holidays (too noisy in rooms, awful air con if any) but this hotel was perfect! Roughly about a 20/30 minute transfer from the airport. Okay-ish welcome, the one who was working at the time was a bit grumpy. We were on 2nd floor, balcony facing out onto the strip and the room was spotless and beds had leopard print throws! It was just me and another friend and there was a double bed and a single, literally so much room! Rooms also included dressing table and large mirror and a TV with music channels for when your getting ready! Bathroom was basic but had a bath and shower so all was good. One thing I would definitely recommend is the air con (6 euros a night). The room is waaaaaaay too hot without it and too noisy outside to keep the doors open but when the doors are closed you can hardly hear anything seeing as SIN CITY club is right opposite. Cleaners came maybe 3 times in the week and towels were changed and they kindly folded clothes that were left on the floor and put them on our beds.
The pool isn't massive but big enough, clean, music playing throughout the day and loads of sunbeds available.
We did bed and breakfast which we wouldn't do again, very basic and bland but you can order from the menu they do there which includes full english, burgers and toasted sarnies which are decent for 5 euros.
The cocktails were nice and strong and again a good price. Special offers on at the bar for pre drinks before you hit the strip.
When ever you leave the hotel you have to hand your keys in to reception which is a good thing really as I usually lose something when ever I'm steaming!
Now the strip.... Reps are everywhere trying to sell you tickets. Maybe a handful are a good deal but most of them are a complete rip off. We got most of our bands, VIP online before we came and saved so much money. We took roughly 500 euros each for a week. Most bars do free shots with first drink, 2 cocktails for 5 euros and loads of games. Never went out with more than 20 euros and ALWAYS came back drunk and with money left over! Reception staff would have a giggle at you stumbling through the door :)
So many amazing clubs to chose from and events such as total karnage, paint parties, foam parties and so much more.....
Definitely go on the Turtle Spotting! They take you to see them then right out into coves where you can jump in and finally relax on Turtle Island.
Finally the best night was when we went to Cameo Island which was an island a mile or so from the beach. Don't walk, get a taxi, we learnt the hard way haha! Usually some celeb there. You buy drink tokens but I've never had a drink so strong in my life. Was more like a quarter of a pint of alcohol topped off with coke, I loved it! Afterwards there's an afterparty at fishbowl.
Overall for the hotel and holiday, I can hardly fault it. I've been to Maga, Ibiza and Napa but Zante tops them all by far and can't wait to come back. See you June 2016.....More
This is a bit of a late review me and my boyfriend stayed here in july 2015. Hotel was nice clean friendly staff. Rooms were cleaned for us every day always sunbeds by the pool which was good didn't matter what time of day it was we only eat at the hotel a few times and that was during the day as a snack but it was cheap and nice food. Only down side is that the air con wasn't included you had to pay extra and you also had to pay a deposit each at the front desk as you checked in but you got it back at the end of your stay if there wasn't anything wrong with your room. Watch out for the gypsys on the strip as they pinned my boyfriend up against the wall and stole our money so don't carry to much on you at a time. Could hear the strip from out hotel room so was loud but by the time we had a few drinks we passed out and didn't really hear anythingMore

Comfortable Hotel despite on the strip
I really enjoyed our time at this hotel. Pro's = Nice bar, clean hotel, decent swimming pool, view of sea, easy access to shops and clubs. Con's = Thomson jump on you straight away to purchase club nights without a chance to take in your surroundings, and you have to pay extra for fridge (no point hardly cold) we didn't bother, but the air con....we had to, so paid for that for a week. but it wasn't exactly cheap and had to pay for a safe as well. We felt a bit like we were parting with a lot of money and we hadn't even been there for 4 hours. But overall we became very comfortable, house keeping came round enough and did a good job. It is your responsibility to not put tissue down the toilet other wise you will have drain issues. Just try and get out the habit haha. Pool table and ping pong. Breakfast was average though, really didn't rate it but it was included so we ate it anyway, not everyday though.More
Basic for party goers - staff could do with an attitude adjustment
2 parts to this review. Positive part - if your coming to zante as a girls/lads holiday this place is perfect, it's on the strip, the food in the hotel is good ( don't know about breakfast i was never up in time) drinks are good as well and surprisingly not to loud for it being a scene hotel (however if you have a room situated right next to the strip it might be a bit loud but if you've been drinking you'll not notice when you clonk out). All in all it's not bad at all, there is obviously the extra prices for air con etc but it's the same in every hotel out there so don't be to harsh about it.
Bad part - every night we came in there were the security guards who basically just like to judge/make fun of you. Some nights are better than others with them. Same goes for the bartender Zack who can be equally super friendly as he can be super unfriendly. I barely spoke to the receptionists so no comment on them. I think if their wanting to stop bad reviews then someone need to speak to these guys about how they treat the guests cause unfriendly staff is a big thing when choosing a hotel and i wouldn't want to stay anywhere i felt uncomfortable and it's obviously an issue at the ionis from the amount of reviews ive read talking about the same people.
I'll be returning to zante for 2016 and have recommended this hotel to my friends as it is very convenient and in my opinion one of the better hotels in laganas so if i do end up here i would like to drunkenly stagger to my room in peace without having nicos and his pal make a comment about meMore
