Hotel Laganas

Hotel Laganas offers up a massive pool, a late-night bar and a close-to-the-beach location – plus it’s only 15 minutes’ walk to the strip.

Hotel Laganas has nabbed a quiet spot near the beach – it’ll take you less than 2 minutes to wander to the sands. And as for the bars and clubs on the strip, they’re about 15 minutes’ walk away.

Bedrooms are simple, but come with all the essentials. Outside, there’s a decent-sized pool and a bar.

AWESOME HOTEL

I've visited hotel lagoons 4 times now and overtime its just awesome. id ignore all the complaints people have for this. the rooms are basic but they're cleaned every day and the hotel is never dirty anywhere. the staff are friendly, its cheap AND they let you bring girls back.. WINNER HOTELMore

SteakMann,

Paid double what other guests did!

On arrival we were dubious as in previous reviews it does look similar to the hotel on the inbetweeners movie! Inside cool given the heat but slightly out dated. At reception our passports were taken from us and we were given a key. We had a private transfer from the airport and weren't told about the welcome meeting. Came out of our room half way through the welcome meeting. Jodie was a brilliant rep and couldn't have done more for us. Pool area large and enough sunbeds for everyone however lots of wasps around the pool. Food was basic but what we wanted for dinner time. Quite a walk to the strip and dark when coming back in the early hours of the morning. Just a warning we had an over the body bag snatched from us by two lads on mopeds whilst walking back to the hotel. Scary experience but luckily very little in the bag. An average hotel, bathroom tiny and shower curtain useless. We were talking to other guests who seemed to have paid half the price we had paid! Overall an average hotel but good for young people. Be prepared for the 15-20 minute walk to the strip. More

Holiday was really nice..looks better inside than out..Bar staff was great Alex an predro..Pedro was really funi..made me laugh alot..very friendly..manager was Abit of a jerk at times .. miserable for no reason..😱 lol but still an ok guy an cleaners will wake u up an clean Ur room..which is very rude because your on holiday and could of have a late nite.never experienced that before and I have been going on holidays for over 15yrs .plus they dont change your sheets every day.but never two days in row .maybe because it's a family business and they don't have many staff .. apart from that it was a nice place to stay..quite at Times..which is good.. the security guy is on point and defo does his job.. Good value for money..maybe would stop there again if I was looking a good deal..that or straight 5star for me lol overall a decent place to stay :)More

Nattychyna I,

A Real Bargain Break

Booked with Thomson (2wentys but we are very late 40s!) & had 11 nights for 2 of us for £248. We e mailed our request for high floor & the manager responded by e mail & gave us just that. The hotel is very clean & the 2 maids are there every day. Room was fine & cleaned every day & clean towels too. Though our room was kept clean by our choice unlike some! The pool is very large & had many loungers/chairs. What meals we ate there were very nice. The manager is there every day & talkative as is Alex the afternoon barman & good for a laugh. Pedro the late barman is a real character & particularly likes the Welsh for some reason-which was good for us! The hotel is very close to supermarkets for supplies & is also at the end of the road (Kalamaki end) so is only 10 mins walk from the main 'strip' road which was not for us at our age. We had a really good time there & met some nice people of all ages. For the time we spent at this hotel, there was a real mixture of ages. We went out walking to Kalamaki & Agios Sostis. We also recommend the 3 hour boat trip which goes turtle spotting/cave visiting & Marathonisi Island. All in all a real bargain break at the Laganas Hotel & the staff were great to us & we have absolutely no complaints from our 4th visit to Zakinthos.More

cheap and cheerful!

just got back from hotel laganas after staying there for a week and miss the pool already! Upon arrival we were a little dissapointed at the state of the shower and how hard the matresses were but at the end of the day, you get what you pay for and they dont claim to be a 5* hotel! the breakfasts we sooo good, they serve them until 10.30am so if you want them to be part of the included price you paid for b&b you dont have to be up until then. we paid for lunch there a couple of days too and it was all very nice, the staff serving you were friendly, it didnt take long to bring out to you and tasted good! the barman was very friendly, as were the management who seemed to be there 24/7! there's free wifi in the reception area which reaches out to the pool area if youre going to be wanting a good nights sleep you'll probably want to ask for a room around the back of the hotel, as quad bikes etc on the road out front can be quite noisy! the hotel is a 5min walk to the beach, and about a 10/15 walk to the main strip, but there is a mini strip with shops, restaurants and bars that you walk along during that time. the promotors outside the restaurants and bars can get a little annoying and full on trying to get you in (no i do not want to be hugged by you and dragged in) and some of the neighbourhood kids do pester and flick things at you. however, this is not down to the hotel and the staff are happy to call a cab for you to take you to the part you want to go to, and the taxis all charge 6euros to whatever part you ask them to drop you at along the strip. It's definitely worth getting one back after a night out, the last part of the road walking back to the hotel is off the strips and with no street lamps its pretty dark, for the sake of 6euros you may as well save yourself the worry. overall had a great time, the hotel wasnt too busy but not dead either, never had to fight over sunbeds and didnt take long to be served at the bar by helpful staff. would have been good to have a fridge in the room, but you did have the option of renting these. some air conditioning would be even better as room was a bit stuffy! the room we were in didnt even have it installed, and im not sure how good renting a fan would be. werent many mosquitos though, went out expecting to be bitten loads but only got one bite the whole week, dont know if this was down to the hotel location or anything! fun, cheap and cheerful holiday overall. would definitely reccomend to young people going with some friends especially, as long as you dont mind a quick shower and stiff neck in the morning from a hard matress and slightly lumpy pillow.More
