Most basic hotel i've ever stayed in

After arriving at this hotel we was met by our Thomson rep who advised that we need to pay 50 Euros to the reception in case of any damages throughout our stay in our rooms. We wasn't made aware of this when we booked our holiday whilst in the Thomson store, so as you can guess this was a bit of a shock!! Once copies of our passports were taken and we paid our 50 Euros we then was pointed to our room. Once inside our room we really couldn't see anything that would be worth 50 euros but was later advised by our rep that the hotel takes this due to the younger generation getting too drunk at the strip and being sick everywhere. Which wasn't mine and my husbands idea of the holiday we wanted just a peaceful week away. The room literally had 2 single beds pushed together for a double, a dressing table with mirror, a wardrobe with 4 hangers !! & the smallest shower I have ever seen, to wash properly you have to step out the shower put your soap and that on and then get back in!. Our room was 'cleaned' daily they washed the floor and gave us sheets with stains on :( Girls there is also no hairdryers so make sure you take your own if you go. only 2 plugs but 1 is really high so no where leads aren't long enough to rest things. If you wanted a room with aircon this was an extra 15 euros a night, a fan was 10 euros a night and a fridge was 5euros a night. A safe was also extra but not sure how much this was as we didn't ask due to it being a little tin box opposite reception which didn't look very safe. Wifi is free but you can't reach it in your rooms only round the pool and in the reception area. A shop was literally across the road and cheaper than the bar however you wasn't allowed to take your own food and drink around the pool, so that the hotel didn't have to pay taxes. Beach was a 5minute walk and the strip about 10minutes. Best food around for breakfast was Friends and dinner was Cool Peppers. Best bar to start you night if your heading to the strip is Rev's 7pm-7am drink as much as you want for 10 euros and can come and go as you please.More

Would book again

Very nice hotel with great swimming pool, very nice people running it, bedding changed daily and rooms cleaned daily. Nice meals and bar food. only five minutes walk to the beach, on main road so easy to travel by bus, local supermarket a minutes walk away. Owners were very nice and helpful. Highly recommended. Darren T,

Scene Hotel But Not Just For The Young

What a surprise this was. I read all the reviews before going and they were mixed The hotel is well run and nothing is a too much trouble for Takis and his wife Bisa . The maid comes in every day to clean the room with clean towels and sheets every 2 days. All linen was of good quality and not thread bare as others had stated. Yes the rooms are basic but the price you pay they are more than adequate .There is a large balcony with table and 2 chairs ,patio doors with full mosquito net and black out blinds . There is no tv in the room but if your on holiday why do you need one? 2 single beds but large singles , 2 bedside cabinets ,coffee table and a dressing table with chair , large mirror built in wardrobes with more than enough coat hangers for someone who takes a different outfit for each day .There was also a 3rd bed in the room . The room we had no air conditioning but I understand there are a few rooms with it. The board basis at this hotel is room only so don't expect to have kettles and fridges .[ I understand that you can hire a fridge while you are there if required ] The bathroom has a shower only but its clean and toilet paper was provided. The bar is well stocked with a wide range of drinks .The first day we arrived Takis did not stock my drink. But the next day he had bought a bottle for me . Prices were much cheaper than on the strip and much more alcohol in the drinks . A good selection of cocktails too which I had on most evenings , at 3.50 euros a time they soon got you tipsy . We would have a few drinks in the bar before we went out then return and have a few more before going to bed . Nikos the day bartender and Petros the night bartender were great company and fun to be with . Food at the hotel was on a snack basis but we tried most things and everything was well cooked and presented . Prices ranges from 1.50 euro for toast and jam to 5 euro for a large breakfast . I had the jacket potato which came with salad for 3.50 euro most lunch times. The pool was amazing , the largest in Laganas . Plenty of sun bed and umbrellas at the pool too . Large tables and chairs also for you to eat at or play cards etc. Sun all day too everywhere at the pool. The hotel is one of the first in Laganas as you come in but it is only a short walk before you come across a wide selection of bars and restaurants . Its only a 10 minute walk to the main strip . The beach is only a 2 minute walk just outside the hotel on the right hand side . In the height of summer I would think this hotel would be full of young kids as it is a Thomson Scene hotel . There were a few while we were there but they were polite and not noisy on a night Dan the Thomson was a star he told us all the places to go and things to see he was very knowledgeable and never once tried to force trips on us . First class and always took the time to chat . Free wifi at the bar and poolside never had a problem getting on and password clearly on view for all to see . Overall it was an amazing holiday and I cannot thank Takis and his staff enough Admittedly we are not party animals but we still like to enjoy our holiday. At 54 and 63 we still like to go out and have a good drink and a dance .More

Perfect for an 18-30 kinda stay, Bill is a legend

Stayed here in August for 11 days. Rep bill made our stay. Top lad and goes above and beyond for the guests and we didn't even buy any of the events. Also staff all amazing and the rooms are good enough standard, especially compared to other hotels in Zante we had stayed in before. 100% recommended for a lads/lasses holiday who are up for fun in Zante but a respectful place to call base. Decent restaurant across the road as well who also do take away Greek food which is beaut.More
