The Aresti Villas are a group of 16 villas set among rolling farmland, olive groves and fragrant eucalyptus trees on the edge of the tiny hamlet of Agios Dimitrios.
Each villa gets its own private pool and sun terrace. Plus, a stylish restaurant-bar serves traditional dishes like Aresti pork, vegetable casseroles and rooster ragu by candlelight.
Chic, individually decorated interiors are a given at the Aresti Villas. Bedrooms might feature four-poster beds, while living areas could be kitted out in dove-grey walls and dark-wood furniture.

We stayed in Ilia Villa in July 17 and had a wonderful holiday. Villa is lovely - cleaned daily by the lovely Freda who was a great source of local information. It has its own private pool which was perfect - cleaned daily by Jeem (sp?). Couldn't fault it really, it was fabulous ☀️🌴😎.More
Wonderful family holiday.
My husband and I were going on holiday with our daughter and her husband and our two young grandchildren age 4 and a 5 month old. We didn't book it until 2 weeks before travelling. My daughter and I had some concerns with information from Thompson's helpline regarding requirements for the 5 month old, they could not confirm there would be a travel cot which was a concern. However we managed to get the email for Louise our holiday Rep who was fantastic she responded almost immediately and confirmed there would be a travel cot and high chair. Louise also helped out with advise regarding hire cars prior to our arrival. She was great on arrival and ensured we had a comprehensive pack of information, and directions around Zante which was great. Such a knowledge lovely lady. The villas didn't disappoint typical Greek villa very traditional we had a three bedroom villa with two bathrooms which allowed us all space. The only concern about the villas was the floor boards upstairs which were obviously the ceilings for down stairs, we couldn't move without the floor boards and stairs creaking, not sure what could be done to rectify the problem. All other facilities were great really well maintained. Cleaner Martha came daily and what a lovely lady she is. The pool man came daily so we knew the pool was safe to use. On the complex there are a number of villas all private, there was an electric gate which made it feel more secure and comfortable to leave personal items outside without any concerns. Marlena works in the complex and is absolutely fantastic she works so hard and always has a smile on her face, a true gem. One night we had been out, came home earlier and parked our car, went in to settle the children then relaxed outside, at 0030 Marlena knocked on our door very apologetic for bothering us, she said she was concerned that we had left the lights on the car and it wouldn't start tomorrow, as you can imagine we were so grateful, she is truly lovely. We enjoyed the Greek Night on the Wednesday if your thinking about booking then please do it was great fun. We had the perfect family holiday making memories with our grandchildren loved every minute. The villas were perfectly situated so we could travel to places nearby. More
Second visit to Aresti Villa's
We have just returned from a two week stay at Aresti Villa's.This was our second visit...we previously stayed in the same villa in 2015. We found the villa was still beautiful, so charming and rustic. It was Cleaned daily to a very high standard. The pool and garden area, again superb and maintained daily. We had a problem with the washing machine whilst we were there, but Once reported it was repaired within a day...excellent service! Only a couple of niggles.....On our first visit we had a very nice welcome hamper which is no longer supplied by Thomson. We did miss this as after a long day its nice to have the bare necessities at hand without having to trek to the supermarket. Some of the sunloungers have seen better days and need replacing, although we were fortunate and had two new ones delivered towards the end of our holiday. The Greek night on a Wednesday is very good but we found it a little annoying when assigned parking spaces for our villa had been occupied by visitors and we were unable to park. We did raise this to the manager and the car was moved. Louise the Thomson Rep is fantastic, so lovely and knowledgeable. A credit to Thomson, nothing is too much trouble and she is always available if there are any problems. All in all a fantastic holiday would highly recommend and will hopefully return in a couple of years.More
Not as bad as we had feared
We have been to Aresti twice before 2008 & 2010, so we were pretty sure as to what to expect. For us to visit the same resort twice is unusal but with a fantastic Thompson deal we could not resist a third trip to Aresti Andouan. We were concerned at the recent reviews on the dilapidation of the villas but this was not as bad as we feared. These villas are "rustic" but full of character and if you are seeking a relaxing and simple holiday - ie less mobile phone/ internet relaxation then these are ideal. Their position on Zante may not be "seaside" but it is well positioned to visit all corners of the island, not that driving is easy with signposts few and far between on rural routes. But you can get into Zante town in 15 mins and get to a coastal resort in the same time. If hiring a car then the additional insurance is a must for peace of mind. Driving regulations do not apply to locals so no crash helmets / traffic lights are for guidance! and never did we pass a police car on the road in two weeks! But when we went to the coastal resorts and had lunch it was very pleasant but we always seemed to say " why are we paying for a sunbed and umbrella when we have a beautiful private pool." Since we were last in Zante supermarkets have improved and having a Lidl did help with shopping for two weeks of easy cooking. The supermarkets and some restaurants do take credit cards so we worried unduly. As previous reviewers have said the villas are kept very clean with daily maid service. Maria was a tireless host who made our holiday, insisting we move villas when the local cockerel woke us up in the early morning and doing this with the minimum of fuss. She cooked us some lovely meals allowing us to bring our own wine and NOTHING was too much trouble. If you are prone to Mosi bites you must take protection seriously night and DAY. Also if you are travelling with young children do contact Maria directly at Aresti, or make contact with Louise, your Thomson rep. as some villas would be less suitable than others., ie. Demetri has no shallow end to the pool (1.5 metres all length) also some parts of the staircase have open treads so can be treacherous for very young children. Louise is a top rep who offered 24hr phone contact which is important as at night as there is no apparent on site staff. We did not call her at 2.30am when an earth tremor woke us, apparently a "common" problem in the area.More
My Wife and I stayed here for a week in between 19th & 25th through Thomson. We were staying in the Maritina Villa which was situated at the end of three Villas, it had three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The Villas are all detached and have their own private pool and a private balcony upstairs outside the two bedrooms. The Villas were beautifully maintained, gardens and inside. The cleaner came every morning. The inside furniture was not necessarily comfortable to lounge, but we weren't there to stay inside and being on Holiday wasn't interested in cooking. There is a TV and a DVD but the channels obviously are Greek and only BBC News in English. The kitchen was fine for breakfast and lunch preparation which left us the opportunity to take a short trip into the closest resorts of Alykanas or Tsislivi or down to Zakynthos town for an evening meal which were no more than 20 mins away in the car. Of course there was also the Taverna on site which served a decent meal, if you didn't want to travel out. We were given a complimentary bottle of local Wine on arrival which was very nice. I would definitely recommend these Villas.More
