First impressions of the Hotel Glyfada? It's tiny, simple and comes with a location so beautiful it will take your breath away. It's a lasting impression, too. Set on the edge of its own sandy cove, there's nothing complicated about this place. All whitewashed walls and brickwork pillars it's quintessentially Greek. With just 54 rooms to its name, it's certainly dinky. And its secluded setting means you're guaranteed plenty of peace and quiet.
Inside, it's got an ethnic feel to it. Potted umbrella plants, yuccas and unusual wood sculptures are used to great effect. And white walls set off this eclectic mix of paraphernalia. As for the restaurant, they've taken a fuss-free approach, with outdoor seating for al fresco Greek breakfasts. Upstairs, meanwhile, rooms are fairly basic but a good size and pleasantly decorated. Think wood-framed beds, floor-to-ceiling windows and spot-lighting.
All in all, it's a great little property that's ideal if you want to escape the world for a week or two.
