These beachside studios come with a pool, plus a restaurant that serves classic Greek dishes.
It’s easy to see how Blue View Studios got their name – the turquoise waters of the shingle beach are just across the road. As for bars and restaurants, you’re looking at 10 minutes’ walk to the centre.
The family-run studios come with a good-sized pool. There’s a restaurant that does well-portioned home-cooked meals, and a weekly Greek night with traditional dancing.
We decided to stay at the Blue View on the recommendation of a friend. I've been trying to think what I can say in this review which would be different from the other excellent reviews of this rather special hotel.
The first thing to say is it is a long transfer from airport to hotel. But it is all well organised and adds a different experience.
Blue View is a family affair and is run mainly by Ria & Andreas with significant support from her mum, dad and Aris the dog! Christina provided excellent service also at mealtimes and during the day.
The philosophy at blue view is that you have an excellent holiday and all the staff are there to ensure you have a good time. Throughout the day you will hear laughter from different members of the team. The maids do make mischief with the sheets and any items you might leave our. It's good fun and not intrusive.
The level of cleanliness is high to the point of spotless. The rooms are cleaned every day and vacuumed! Sheets and towels are changed regularly.
Breakfast is a mixture of hot and cold items which varies from day to day. There is usually a platter of fresh fruit but it doesn't always come out at the beginning of service.
The hotel serves food in the Elia Taverna you can eat in or by the sea. The choice and standard is excellent and they will go the extra mile if you want something different. We ate in the resort too but the food and the setting were so good sometimes we had to make the effort to go out!
It's named Blue View and the views are really blue but not all the views are completely unobstructed.
As if in tune with the ambience the guests at Blue View are friendly and everyone was happy to chat yet respect each other's space.
Blue View is a 5-10 minute walk into Limenaria where there is a good range of bars and restaurants.
There is also a supermarket really close for all your provisions,
I think the thing that makes Blue View special is the desire from Ria and Andreas to constantly improve. They happily engage with all their guests whether it's your first visit or you are a regularly returning guest. We will definitely return to Blue View in the future.
Ps they also have excellent wifi if that's your thing!
Way better than expected!
Stayed here for a week with friends, and the hotel it self was immaculate. The rooms were way better than your typical Greek hotel room. The staff was super friendly and helpful if there was something we needed. The only thing that drags the rating down from 5/5 is the way one housekeeper went trough our bags and kept on relocating things. Things that was in my bag when we left for the beach, was in my friends bag when we got back. It was a total search and rescue everytime we got home.
Other than that, this hotel is highly recommended!! Totally worth your money!More

Probably The Best Hotel in Thassos
Having toured the island over the last few days and visited all the major resorts I can honestly say that Limenaria is the most relaxed place to stay. Not only that but the Blue View Hotel is definitely one if the best, in a great location and probably the most spacious, clean and friendly hotel you could find on the island. There is nothing I could fault with this place, right on a quiet clean beach and you have the choice of both pool and beach at your doorstep. Plenty of sun beds all with big umbrellas, pool shower, great views from all the rooms and a great restaurant serving delicious breakfasts, snacks and a full menu all day. The staff are very friendly and professional and the hotel is just so relaxing. Highly recommend this place, if you book it you will not be disappointed.More
The setting of this hotel is fantastic.
We stayed in one of the older rooms, these are the rooms you will stay in if you book with Thomson. The rooms are basic, bedding and towels very clean. The bathroom again is basic, our basin needed a good scrub but everywhere else was kept clean, although never smelt or saw any disinfectant in the toilet.
The breakfast is a modest affair. Omelette, beans, mushrooms, pastries, fresh bread, fruit and greek yogurt everyday. We enjoyed it. The setting of breakfast made it, by the pool, over looking the sea.
The pool is lovely as are the sunbeds on the beach. To use the beach sunbeds you must spend at least 5 euros on drinks otherwise you are charged 5 euros.
We didn't eat in the hotel in the evening as the lovely restuarants of the town are 5 minutes walk away along the sea front. In the town you will find bars, restuarants, bakery's, shops and the nicest of greek people.
Just a note: hotel has good wifi, you will need to take your own beach towel, air con charged, safe chared, you will have a greay holiday.More
What a lovely hotel, friendly, clean with lovely view
We stayed at the Blue View hotel 2nd-9th June with our two friends who had the room next door.
What a lovely week we had!
Andreas and Ria were very welcoming and very friendly, as was everyone at the hotel (and Aris the dog who loves a tickle on the tum)
But I was amazed at how clean the hotel was: not just the room, but everything: the sunbeds round the pool were scrubbed every morning and even the railings surrounding the hotel (part of the wall) were spotless, I don't think I've ever stayed in such a clean place.
The gardens are beautifully kept as is the grass, terrace and outdoor dining area.
The hotel pool was very cold in the mornings, but much better by the afternoon when we needed to cool down (it was early in the season) and just the right size, not too big, not too small.
We have been to Thassos before, but not to Limenaria which we fell in love with.
The hotel view is stunning.
We could sit around the pool and see the sea and hear the waves.
Limenaria came to life the week we were there, it was so interesting to see all the hotels/bars creating their instant sandy beaches with wooden steps down to beach, sunbeds, deckwalks, beach shower and changing cubicles in the week we were there, ready for the 'season'; I've never seen anything like this before!
Blue View had not laid their sandy beach as they were waiting one more week but this did not detract from our lovely holiday, my hubby put on his swim shoes and went in the sea every day, literally 45 paces from the pool.
Andreas & Ria have updated and added to their lovely hotel which I think is a family-run business with all the family still helping.
I would love to go back to this small & very friendly hotel, no wonder it has won Thomson awards every year, hope to go again next year but I know it gets booked up quickly with 'returners' ;o)More
