These beachside studios come with a pool, plus a restaurant that serves classic Greek dishes.
It’s easy to see how Blue View Studios got their name – the turquoise waters of the shingle beach are just across the road. As for bars and restaurants, you’re looking at 10 minutes’ walk to the centre.
The family-run studios come with a good-sized pool. There’s a restaurant that does well-portioned home-cooked meals, and a weekly Greek night with traditional dancing.
They welcome and treat you like one of their family!
Ria, Andreas, Panos, Athena and Little Athena (not forgetting Aris!) welcome you into their hotel as if their home and treat you as their house guests, what a special experience. The hotel, rooms, grounds and even the beach were spotlessly clean (they even sweep the beach!) with the two cleaning ladies seemingly non stop cleaning throughout our two week stay. Thanos and Sophia were always on hand to bring whatever your heart desired to the pool, decked area or beach and always with a smile and friendly conversation/helpful advice. The small team worked tirelessly against adversity throughout our stay as a tropical storm flooded the family's accommodation in the hotel and all the laundry was soaked. No matter, the hotel ran as normal with no disruption to the guests or their relaxing holiday experience. Ria in particular was constantly available to provide helpful assistance for what ever was required including assistance with doctors, chemists and the like way in excess of that which would be expected of a hotel owner. The food in the hotel was excellent and meant that we had no need to use the in room facilities, other than for a morning coffee, which was easy with the kettle and fridge. The location of the hotel is perfect with a short 10min walk into town just enough to work up a thirst for a cold drink in one of the many friendly bars. This is not a touristy resort and all the shops we encountered were keen to please and offered discounts and deals without being prompted the local people genuinely want to please and are proud of their town. I am in two minds about such a glowing review as it may make the hotel busier but there is a need to share such a gem and Ria Andreas and the rest of the team deserve massive praise and success for the hard work that goes into making a holiday at their hotel so relaxing! A quick word for Jacki our Thomson rep who was always happy and joking and nothing was too much trouble.More

Great food at the Blue View
Although we were not staying at the Blue View Hotel (we were next door at the Sunray) we did visit the Blue View for an evening meal. we cannot recommend it highly enough. the menu was extensive and traditional. Our meal was superb, with large portions, beautifully cooked and piping hot. The service from everybody was excellent and friendly and we were made very welcome.
A great place to eat, even if you do not stay there. More
Very good hotel
Firstly I will start with negative points then move on to the many many more positive ones.
The cooker consists of two rings on the sinks draining board. The entire food area and respective storage was incredibly small. The kettle also sits on the draining board with it's lead trailing over the rings. I am neither expecting or wanting to prepare meals but the odd sandwich and breakfast. This was very challenging as there are no work surfaces so I had to make sandwiches on the dresser or the floor. Even preparing a couple of fried eggs was impossible as there is no-where to put your plates. As a previous review a toaster would be nice.
The beach outside the Hotel is very poor it is just stones and pebbles. The sea wasn't the crystal clear water I have come to expect from Greece and was reminiscent of something you'd find in the UK.
Amazing view from the balcony (be aware despite previous comments not all rooms have sea views. some at the back just view onto the roof or Hotel walls)
The room was amazingly clean and cleaned daily. Towels and linen changed very frequently. I can't praise the management highly enough for the standards they maintain.
The beds were comfy and the rest of the room was well finished including the shower etc.
The grounds are immaculate and the pool was always in perfect order and kept clean.
The hotel is a very short walk into town and there are other places to eat and drink both up and down the sea front.
There are two very beautiful beaches in walking distance that do have clear water and are great for snorkelling.
Th staff were very helpful and accommodating and worked hard to ensure you enjoyed your stay. In particular Sophia was a lovely lady who brought drinks down to the beach. 2 Euro for a beer in the afternoon. Very cheap.
I ate in the Hotel twice and thought the food was very nice but don't see why someone would eat there all holiday. I found many superior places to eat in town and elsewhere.
All in all I think the Blue View is very good. I would recommend to others and would stay there again but I can't in all fairness award the 5* that other reviewers have.More
Just returned yesterday from a weeks stay in this beautiful hotel.
We enjoyed a lovely relaxing week and everything about this hotel is great, many thanks to Ria & Andreas and all the staff for making us feel most welcome. The cleaners in this hotel are to be congratulated as everywhere is spotless, they do a wonderful job.We loved being so close to the beach and just having to stroll a few yards to the sunbeds, and also the lovely Sophia always at hand to serve our coffees and drinks if we wanted them on the beach. Then at lunchtime strolling back to the decked area at the hotel and enjoying a beautiful lunch & wine with the fabulous views of the sea served by the lovely Thanos or Ria.
Our room 305 had an amazing sea view across the ocean and right up to the town, where ever you were in the room you could see the sea.
Enjoyed our walks into town along the seafront and although we had a couple of not so great meals in general this could have just been our choice of restaurant on those nights, so would not be put off and there are quite a few restaurants to choose from. Fab cocktails by candle light at Mouragios bar which is behind the restautants on the back streets, lovely setting very relaxing way to end your evening or even start the evening off ...
Great barbeque on the Thursday night at the hotel, the greek dancing was great and trust me you will enjoy getting up to dance, along with everyone else, great fun, just have a few drinks and enjoy....
Only one very small disappointment ...No Toaster...and we do like some lovely fresh toasted bread in the morning, but we got by...and probably put on less weight...then usual.
Great seeing Jackie our Thomson rep, first met her in Parga and she's is one of the best reps we have ever had, makes us laugh and nothing is too much trouble ...so if you have any problems you know she is always there and willing to sort anything out for you..
So if your thinking of booking this hotel ...go for it you will not be disappointed.....More
We have just returned from an amazing holiday at the Blue View. We spent two weeks at the Blue View it is in a lovely spot right in front of the sea. We were lucky to have a room (201 ) at the front of the building on the corner which had a larger balcony and brilliant sea view. I have never stopped in such a clean apartment they are spotless. The resort centre is only a short 10 mins walk away and as plenty of tavernas and bars to keep you happy for two weeks. We never had a bad meal anywhere. There is a walk you can do to another beach up and over the hill near the port which has a lovely beach and good views of the resort from the top. Did the boat trip with thomson it was ok for a day out but I have done better ones. Jackie the tour rep is really nice friendly and ready to help. Even sent me a birthday card. Thank you Jackie. The journey is well organised by thomson from the airport onward to the ferry then hotel. It all runs smoothly. This is a fantastic resort to stay if you want to chill out and relax. The whole island is beautiful and we will I'm sure be back to visit another area sometime soon.More
