Stroll to Bourtzi to see its ruined medieval fortress. Take time out on nearby Megaliamos beach. Or enjoy a day out on an organised boat cruise from the harbourside. You could find yourself at spectacular Lalaria beach with its haunting caves or Kastro, an atmospheric abandoned medieval village on a clifftop. Or how about some island hopping with a trip to Skopelos or Alonissos? By night, the only dilemma is whether to keep things low-key with a waterfront dinner or dive into the enthusiastic nightlife.
