Lovely Small Hotel
My wife and I recently stayed at the Kouros Hotel and would recommend it as a place to stay when on the island of Santorini, the hotel is small, with a lovely bar, the stafff were friendly and extremly helpful. It is located in a perfect location, less than 5 minute walk to beach, bars and resturants. Breakfast was held on the roof terrace and again more than adequate, if intending to sightsee I would recommend trying to avoid the main tourist spots when the cruise ships are in especially Fira and Ola, great holiday and hope to return soon.More
Fantastic Friendly Hotel with Great service
A fantastic family run hotel from the Thomson small and friendly range booked as a last minute deal. What a fantastic retreat we booked a family room and it was perfect, modern and spotless. Located just a few minutes walk from the seafront with lovely views when you sat on the terrace eating breakfast. Great hotel with a great pool and bar area enclosed in its own little oasis.Wonderful relaxing place to stay , I can't wait to Bol againMore
A week is not enough
Arrived thru Thomsons on Tuesday lovely room, ensuite and as described in other reviews rooms cleaned daily towels changed. The staff were always polite and friendly and very hard working, this is just 50m away from the beach and all the restaurants on the beach road. The only negative we found was the breakfast and in particular the fried eggs which had been cooked and then kept warm turning them rubbery and tasteless. Would we stay here again oh yes lovely place lovely peopleMore
Lovely stay at Kouros
We had a fantastic stay at Kouros Village! The room was reasonably sized, very clean and had all the amenities we needed. We did have to ask for a hairdryer but it was made available with no problems. The air-con was powerful, the bed very comfortable and it was nice to have a small fridge to use. I found it a bit weird that there was no hook for the shower head but ultimately this was a very small issue and didn't detract from our stay. I'd say the wifi was adequate for checking emails and social media but not really sufficient for watching streaming services like Netflix. Breakfast was really lovely every day with good choice including typical continental, English and Greek breakfast items. All of the communal areas of the hotel (pool, bar, dining area) were well kept and comfortable. The hotel provide pool towels which is handy, but we did find that classic problem of people 'reserving' beds by the pool and sometimes not using them. To be fair, we prefer the beach to the pool anyway so it wasn't a big deal for us, especially as the beach is only a couple of minutes away. The location of the Kouros, virtually on the beach and very near to the mini supermarket and plenty of bars and restaurants, is basically perfect. It's also not too far from the bus stop if you were looking to travel around the island. The staff at the Kouros were really helpful, accommodating, and hardworking, particularly this one chap who was always on breakfast and the bar. We did have a little mix up with our half-board dinner vouchers but it was ultimately resolved with little fuss. Whenever we needed something there was someone available to help. Food at the Atlantis restaurant (on the half-board basis) was fairly basic but adequate. There was a reasonable choice of Greek, English and some Italian dishes, and the staff were nice, but we did find there were other much nicer restaurants along the seafront. You do get three courses as part of the voucher deal so it's not bad value at all, but we found we didn't use all of our vouchers because we preferred some other restaurants. The half-board lunch at the Meltemi Hotel Pool-bar was also fairly basic (sandwiches, salads, burgers) but generous in portions and nice quality and freshly prepared. The staff at the Meltemi bar were particularly lovely and welcoming. All in all we had a lovely week at the Kouros Village and I hope we visit again!More
This hotel is beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms a lovely. Breakfast was great everyday and the snack menu is good for just a light bite during the day and always good quality food! The hotel is only a two minute walk to the beach and the strip where the restaurants are. The locals are so friendly and very hard working. We went on a few excursions while we were there. We went on a tour of the island where we visited the earthquake village, went to a winery (with the most incredible view), went to the highest point of santorini, visited a museum and finished off in oia where we watched the beautiful sunset. We also went on a sunset cruise which is just stunning. We also went on another cruise where we climbed the volcano and went to the hot springs. We also got the local bus from Persia and went to the capital of Thira which was quiet and plenty of shops but the view is just amazing everywhere you look! I loved every minute of this holiday and would certainly recommend people to go!! More
