Pefki Islands Resort

This is a relaxed spot next to a sandy beach, with a pair of pools to recommend it.

Location-wise, things couldn’t be better. Steps lead down to a sandy beach, and the hub of Pefkos is 5 minutes’ walk away. In the same time, you can be at the local bus stop for trips to Lindos and Rhodes Town.

It’s all about the pools here. The hotel has 2 of its own, and with a pair of sister hotels as your neighbours, the count rises to 5. Between them they offer swim-up bars and a poolside restaurant that’s highly rated.

Another perfect holiday!

We have just come home from another lovely holiday in Pefki Island Resort. In fact this was our eleventh time! That should speak volumes alone. We have always found everyone so very helpful and pleasant. Every time we return, we are welcomed with open arms. We return to restaurants and they remember us and that is such a lovely feeling that we are not just another holiday maker. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the maids are very cheerful every morning wishing us a good day. All the reception staff are great and I believe we have made friends with them over the years. Nikki our Thomson rep was brilliant and her welcome meeting talk was very informative and accurate. We will be returning next year for what we know to be another perfect holiday!More

Lost its spark

Ok so this is our fifth visit. We have stayed in all three of the resorts. Two years ago we married at Lindos and recommend the wedding party to pefki. I really felt this year that standards had dropped a tad. Pool areas were visible of marks and grime * I know it was the end if August but it really should be mainatined.* The sunbeds and sun umbrellas around pefki and lindia need changing they are as old as the complex I guess ! I noticed a few new umbrellas but they all need attention. The pool bars hygeine leaves something to be desired.I witnessed them cleaning glasses and cutlery plates etc with the blackest mucky sponge ever !! On checking out this year no questions if we enjoyed our stay or a thankyou... just an abrubt taking of the key and handing back passports.Customer service skills nill by an older English lady member of staff in pefki.A little intrest in paying guests would be nice however I had observed her attitude with others prior so was not shocked. It would seem that you are causing her a hardship by asking anything of her. If your not customer focused don't do the job !I would of thought she would be pulled up about poor standards. The young staff in Elia are so warm and friendly. They cant do enough for you .. tge very contrast. They were really polite and helpful on every interaction. Rooms were large clean and comfortable. The maids are amazing and so friendly. They are always happy and smiling. Room facing the supermarket are large however the noise on a night is terrible. I understand that people are heading back to their rooms on this main path often in high spirits. The staff on the golf buggies are loud and often chatting at high volume often shouting at each other.I would of thought they would have more respect for guests. We were awake till gone 5 most mornings due to noise. This is no holiday. Over 100 euros for air conditioning that was not sufficient enough.Old fan systems that are very noisy with poor cooling effect.Much like a warm fan blowing. For the rip off price they need sufficient units. All in all ok this year.A safe resort as you know what you get however we plan on missing for the next few years.. I wonder if they will have the old sunbeds when we return ??? Many positives to this group of resorts .. it could be 4 star should it brush up on a few things. I understand island blue is a higher standard ( we have stayed) however the other two resorts have so much potential too. More

perfect holiday - perfect hotel!

We stayed at this resort at the same time last year and it was as good this time as the last. Arriving very late evening we were very swiftly and efficiently checked in and immediately helped with our luggage and shown to our apartment. We were really pleased to find that we had been allocated a fabulous room in an excellent position over looking the pool. The high standards that we discovered the previous year were still in place and the staff were as friendly and helpful as ever. We will be returning again next year without hesitation. Thankyou to all the staff for helping make sure we had a wonderful stay.More

Still a winner

This was our sixth visit to the Pefki Island in 13 years and it is still an extremely high standard apartment complex. Rooms cleaned six days a week, towels and bed-linen changed at least every other day, lots of space and good standards of furniture. Air-con a must even in September which carries a hefty premium (65 euro per week per room) but is very effective, especially at night. We'll be back!More

Alastair D,

We arrived at midnight, very swift check in and escorted to our room. The bar was still open and we met up with friends for a welcome drink. The room /studio for two (111) exceeded expectations. We were on the ground floor close to a pool and bar outside the front door and would happily stay in the same room again, we found the location for us perfect. The bed was huge and so comfortable with clean fresh sheets changed every other day as were the towels. The bathroom wasnt enormous but perfectly adequate with a good shower. The kitchen area was two rings and a sink. There is a further counter and cupboard with a kettle, toaster and sandwich grill. The saucepans and frying pan were of good quality, crockery cutlery and glasses enough for two. The furniture was of very good quality and all was exceptionally clean. At the rear we had double doors opening on to a patio which overlooked an open space and further to the Elia restaurent, we had afternoon and evening sunshine. The three hotels of the resort merge into one and you can easily walk between the three to the various pools and bars (5 in total!). This was nice for us as we had friends around the resort who had all come for the same wedding and we could meet easily if and when we wanted (no, we were not a rowdy wedding party and we didnt see one either!) The resort was very well maintained and clean. Staff all friendly. the supermarket stayed open till eleven at night and was fine for most holiday needs. Worth noting if you do want to eat in there is a distinct lack of butchers so not easy to get meat. The beach was a 10 minute walk from our studio, and finished with steps. The beach isnt very big, one sunbed row wide in places (8 euros for 2) and sandy. The sea was beautiful and warm, though stoney underfoot. Pefkos was a nice place to wander in the evening with lots of choice of restaurents and bars. Cocktails very popular! We hired a scooter 80cc on a normal licence is the max. This was super fun to get out and about on to see more of the island. We did about 250 km over 5 days, it cost 80 euros and no deposit. Would definately recommend this we felt quite safe the roads are not that busy. We paid to keep the room for the last day and should you have an evening pick up think this is well worth the money. Re "the bug" when we were there 06-13 Sept it had been over a week since the last case. I took hand gel, I doubt there is anything the resort hadnt done to ensure it didnt return. One slight irritaion for me is the cats. I am not a cat lover anyway but there are just too many about and one even came into our room so watch this if you are on the ground floor. I think we may have had a couple of flea bites! Another tip if you drop the teeniest crumb you will get the teeniest of ants turning up, so just take care to wipe surfaces or sweep the patio if you do drop something. However those two things do not detract in anyway the super time and experience we had. Should we ever go back to Rhodes without a doubt this would be our first choice of a place to stay. Absolutely fabulous highly recommend.More
