Good but basic

Lindia thalassa is a nice family resort. We were disappointed when we arrived as we had to pay €200 for air conditioning and a safe ! Also we were given a ground floor room with a wall as our view from the balcony. The pool area and sunbeds were spotlessly clean, and was a nice area to be in for a swim or catching some rays - you need to reserve the sunbeds at around 8am if you want to spend the day there, as later on you'd be lucky to get one. Lindia thalassa has their very own supermarket which was excellent. Just down a few steps from the resort is a lovely beach. The sand is hot, the sea is warm and relaxing and there are sunbeds with parasols which shade you very well and don't cost much money. Yet again you do not need to be arriving too late as the sunbeds soon fill up. This beach gives a great day for all the family. Be prepared for the noisy bugs called cicadas which are quite disturbing although don't worry too much as your balcony doors thankfully are soundproof. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Our Thompson rep Diane was fantastic! Overall it was a very expensive holiday and we felt we did not get what we paid for or value for money.More

Louise Q,

I need a sleep now

Arrived at 10pm to our room in E Block which was on first floor overlooking the noisy bar and next to the stage where a very average Adelle impersonater was howling. Noisy bar continued till 2am. Oh dear this wasn't the Greece we knew and loved. Couldn't afford 160€ for air conditioning. Try and get in block A which down by the sea if not B then C but not E. Pool was nice and bar staff friendly. Ladies in shop very grumpy. Location next to beach was best part and snorkelling was good. Wouldn't return to Hotel More

We stayed in C block from 13/8/14 to 20/8/14 and loved it. The apartment although it didn't have the sea view we requested, was lovely and clean and i guess to be fair we could kind of see the sea in distance - noth that the beach was very far away at all. We had a fairly new kettle, a tea towel and even mini shampoos, conditioners and body wash in the bathroom and a bottle of cold water in the fridge on arrival at 3am! The next day we were able to see how amazingly pristine the whole place was. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, and after we'd sanitised our hands (as they request you do every day in the restaurant) we tucked into an endless buffet style breakfast every day. I would definitely recommend this resort to friends and family and have only once critisism the bed, quite hard but i'm lucky i can sleep on anything. My hubby however struggled a bit. I'd like to think we'll stay there again one day as it was lovely. Oh a little tip for travellers - We had to check out by 12pm and were not due to fly until 1.45AM the next day, we didn't want to pay £38 Euros to keep the room on for 7 hours, so the receptionist said we could simply book a shower room for NOTHING, which we did. So we went home showered rather than having a late pool dip! Money saved £38Euros.More

Great base to relax and enjoy Rhodes

The hotel is ideally situated above the beach accessible by about 60 steps. Accommodation is in 5 blocks, 1 poolside and 4 running from reception down to the sea. Rooms are comfortable, but beds are a bit firm for me and air con is 200 euro for 2 weeks. Rooms are cleaned 6 days a week. Hotel has nice reception and supermarket, plus pool bar and cafe. Entertainment is shared with sister hotel pefki island next door. It's a bit of a walk uphill to the main resort but that makes for an easy walk back. Pool is clean and sunbeds usually available but can get busy in peak season. The hotel is very well run and staff in reception and bar work hard to keep every one happy. Pefkos is ideally located to visit Lindos or Lardos by bus or taxi if you get tired of the hotel or resort. All in all a good quality mid-range hotel in a great location. Thanks to all the staff who made for an enjoyable stay. More

Better first time round

We booked this after staying there 8 years ago. The standard of cleanliness is still as good and the apartments much the same. Our main criticism is the loud 'pop' music which is played from about 9 am to at least 7pm in the pool bar. The general pool area was more suited to young people and if you were unlucky enough to have an apartment looking over the pool like we did, you got no peace at all! We managed to move after 4 days. On the days we stayed by the pool we used the pool in the newer addition to the complex called Island Blue where it was much quieter and the large pools were lovely. We also ate at the restaurant at Island Blue for my birthday which was very good and were entertained by the old guy on guitar whose video is on here in another review! As others have mentioned the air con and safe are very expensive and cost us €160 for 10 days for both bedrooms which you couldn't have done without in high summer.More
