Loved our holiday at these appartments 8 adults and not one complaint . Fabalous sea view worth the extra charge , great entertainment ,very friendly spotlessly clean and nothing to much trouble for the reception staff or maids . Fabalous little restaurant right across from the supermarket called Sunset Taverner we ate there eleven nights out of our 14 night stay outstanding service and good prices such a lovely friendly welcome and delicious food. We loved our holiday and i can honestly say it was one of the best holidays I've ever had just can't fault the Lindia Thalassa or the beautiful friendly resort of Pefkos we can't wait to holiday here again and will be back .More
Another Amazing Trip!
Back from another brilliant 10 day stay at Lindia Thalassa, just as special as the first time round! Once again perfect weather, in fact very hot the first weekend of our stay. If you have little ones air con is a must, even with this still very warm in the rooms. A little tip - the supermarket next to the Gelato cafe in town hires large standing fans for 10 euros a week which was a god send for us! Staff at Lindia are always fantastic, Maria always very helpful on reception and the bar staff really look after you. The cleaners work very hard and do the rooms 6 times a week. The rooms are basic, but that is normal for Greece, plenty of space though. We had C block which was quiet, if we come again we'd love either A or B block. Only small issue with the rooms in the hardness of the bed, but after three visits we were used to it and also a larger bin in the kitchen would be appreciated as children create a lot of rubbish! We ate out mainly and didn't had a bad meal the whole 10 days. If you can visit Anixis Taverna at the top of the hill, absolutely amazing food at a good price with a cracking view of sunset. Also try the Greek night at Elia on a sunset, such a fun night and so much food! Special mention to Claudia and the staff at the kids club, our twin 4 year olds really enjoyed the club and were made to feel very welcome. They all work very hard 6 days a week keeping the little ones busy, as well as other activities and evening entertainment. Our twins loved that they could take Tina Turtleor Danny Dolphin around with them for the day and write in their diaries! They were very sad to say goodbye to the team on our last day. I hope the kids club get looked after when the renovation happens next winter and they are given adequate facilities as all the children loved it there. Hope to come back to Lindia one day, depends whether the prices go up next year with the re-furb etc. Only down point to our holiday is the long journey home and the terrible airport!More
we stayed for a week in B block which was perfect. To wake up the first sunny morning and get a glimpse of the sea from the balcony was a great start and the teenagers ride on the golf buggy to the room!! The room was a 2 bed and a nice balcony which had the sun all morning and shade in the evening which was welcome after the heat.Air con was 65 euros for one control for the week and we kept doors open which helped the 2nd room to keep fairly cool. safe was 25 euros for the week. The kitchen was tiny but all you needed for breakfast or the odd lunch back from the beach .The best thing was the beach location I think- a few easy steps down and so calm and lovely The pool was fine but the last few days got a bit lively/hectic with youngsters so we went to the fantastic one at Pefki which was calmer.- very nice to have 5 pools to choose from! All the gardens, walkways and rooms were very clean and kept uptogether..The shop was welcome and not too pricey for the odd lunch stuff and wine/beers .Entertainment was quite bad in my opinion but it didn't intrude on our holiday- very quiet in b block Lastly a very special mention to the receptionist ANEZA who arranged a fantastic trip for us with a company redy2go and it really made our holiday- a whole day in an air conditioned minibus 9-5 all over the most picturesque of Rhodes. Perfect thankyou.More
Great hotel, terrible bar music.
We are staying here right now. The complex is lovely and the rooms are lovely. The only thing we hate is the incessant bar music which is on constantly and needlessly. Come back from a nice night out and fancy a relaxing drink by the bar but all you get is hideous music. Not impressed with it. More
A fabulous place!
We had travelled to Rhodes on a last minute holiday with Thomson. We booked into the Pefki Island Resort which consists of several complexes and a restaurant on a very large site. We arrived at our self catering apartments, the Lindia Thalassa, at 10.45pm. The receptionist gave us our key and told us that the restaurant was staying open to accomodate late arrivals so we headed there straight away. Our apartment though small was excellent. We had to.pay €120 for the air conditioning for 2 rooms for a week..a steep price but really necessary in the 36° heat. There was maid service each day and the little touches left were really appreciated. All guests can use any of the pools in the entire complex although we thought ours was the best. From our block, 1 of 5, a short 1 minute walk led to the steps down to a narrow but stunningly beautiful beach. Sunbeds could be rented at reception, 2 for €12 a day but we chose to stay on the beds by the pool and walk down to.the beach when we wanted to. There is a stunning view from 'the veranda', an area used for weddings. There is also a really well stocked supermarket on site which is open til midnight. The staff in the resort were so friendly and would do anything to help. Each morning we chose to walk to the Elia restaurant for breakfast. The choice of food here and the presentation were superb and that, along with the efficiency of the staff, brought us back each morning. A particular mention has to be made about the breakfast manager who had a cheerful 'Kalimera' each morning for every guest and whose efficiency was outstanding. There was a variety of different kinds of entertainment on each night in different places on site. Other reviews have talked about the noise from this but in reality the music stopped at midnight so it was never a problem. From the complex a short 5 minute walk led to the local restaurants. We ate in a variety of these particularly liking Georges and Nostalgia. We also tried the Sunset Tavern directly across from Reception which was also fabulous. We had a 16 and 13 year old with us and although we chose Greek food there was plenty for our youngest son to choose from too. I can truthfully say we never had a bad meal anywhere and all very reasonably priced. There were plenty of other activities for children too from computers, games, kids club, pool tables etc. Car hire can be arranged with Marathon who are always in the Pefki Island reception. We hired a car for 3 days for €80. This was cost effective as we wanted to drive to the waterpark in Faliraki. That is definitely worth a visit. We also went to Lindos, 10 minutes away, the most beautiful little village. Here you can get a donkey ride to the ampitheatre, a 'must see' place. The views are stunning and the fact you are standing in a place over 5000 years old is mind boggling. We also went to Lardos where we indulged in some water sports including parasailing which we booked with Water Sports Action , a family business with excellent service and a friendly manner. They have so mamy activities to choose from that you will be spoilt for choice. Overall the entire Pefki Island resort is beautiful, spotlessly clean and the staff cannot be praised enough for the effort they put into to making sure each guest enjoys their time on holiday. The only problem was we were only booked in for a week! We had a ball.and we will definitely be back. If you are heading to Pefkos you wont do better than here.More
