Fabulous return visit.
Home from a wonderful 2 week return holiday to this superb hotel. We visited 4 years ago and enjoyed it so much, we decided to return to celebrate my 50th birthday and we were not disappointed. On entering the dining room on our first evening, the staff recognised us from our first visit, which was a warm welcome. All staff throughout the hotel are incredibly friendly, helpful and professional and go the extra mile to make your holiday complete. A special thank you to Savvas, Giavanna and Tsambika in the restaurant, who make you laugh and smile everyday. By coincidence, we were put in the same room again as our last visit which was not a problem for us. The room has a very big balcony over looking the bay, which was very relaxing and kept really clean. The only thing I would say about the room, is it is starting to look a little tired. Both pools are kept very clean and are relaxing areas. The beach has plenty of sun beds, which look out to a beautiful calm bay, with clear water. I used the spa a couple of times for a back massage, which was very relaxing. The spa manageress was very friendly and Alexandra ( not sure on name )!, who did my massages was very professional. The food in the hotel is top class at all meal times. The only gripe we had, was the drinks seemed very expensive and the soft drinks over priced. How can you justify a milkshake costing 6.80 euro, when a beer is 5 euros! Lindos is the most beautiful and quaint town, which is a must to visit. All said, this is the most wonderful hotel, with incredibly hard working staff and we will definitely return.More
Lovely, relaxing holiday
Just back from a two week stay at this lovely hotel. We had very high expectations given the previous reviews and these were mostly met. The staff work extremely hard and are genuinely very friendly. We had a sea view standard room. Worth paying a bit more for a lovely view. Comfortable room, high spec bathroom and very good hairdryer. Very limited plug sockets and odd air con system that seemed to go off when you turned the lights off so made for some warm nights. We spent most of our time on the beach. Loungers have very comfy mattresses which was great. The sea has a sandy bed and shallow clear waters, perfect for swimming and bat and ball! The beach is coarse sand. Supermarket within walking distance which worked out much cheaper for water than buying from the beach staff from the hotel (who all work really hard running up and down to the bar!) We were there in peak season and never had any issues getting sun beds on the beach, and there were usually some available no matter what time of day. Great to be able to have a leisurely start to the day without worrying about this like in some places. The food at the hotel is largely very good. Wide choice at breakfast and dinner and good quality. Drinks are expensive in my opinion, around €4 for a bottle of water and €8.50 for a cocktail. One gripe was that wine was not available by the glass at dinner, which seems very strange. Entertainment was provided three times per week, Greek night, abba tribute and the really excellent jersey boys band. There is not much around the hotel, but we got a taxi to lindos one day, very pretty place. We went on a Sunday and it was not too busy but everything was open. We also got the bus to Rhodes town from outside the hotel. Really interesting place, buses fairly infrequent but reception will give you a timetable if you ask. All in all, we were impressed with the hotel and had a really relaxing holiday.More

We stayed for 10 days on a Tui package, primarily based on overwhelming positive comments on this site. Well, it's all true. Superb customer service provided from Tui rep to hotel reception staff, all the way through to the friendly bar and waitress and support teams. Nothing too much trouble and all done professionally and with a smile. It really is that good. Read on for room, pool, entertainment and beach comments from other reviewers, all seem fair to me. Went as a family of 4 but a great mix of folk there. Well done Lindos Mare for making our trip so enjoyable. Highly recommended. More
Location, food, staff, facilities all faultless
Just back from a wonderful weeks holiday at the Lindos Mare hotel. Not one to usually leave a review, but it was such an exceptional break, that I though inclined to do so. The rooms are modern & spacious, comfy beds, amazing food on offer & genuine lovely staff. Located a short distance from Lindos old town (€6-8), the hotel also has a beautiful beach with an area reserved for guests to lounge. The hotel is modern & has two swimming pools, a spa, games room, two restaurants & a few bars. I injured my back prior to the holiday & booked myself a massage at the spa, after my first visit, I booked another & I'm back from the holiday pain free. Highly recommend this place. More
Lindos mare: the hotel that dreams are made of
We visited Lindos Mare as part of a Thompson holiday from Birmingham Airport for 10 days. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and were given complimentary sandwiches in the room as well as a bottle of red wine. The room was clean with plenty of room and a beautiful sea view. Breakfast buffet is 7-10:30 and everything can be found there. The staff are happy for you to take food to your rooms for later and seem to encourage it. The staff were always accommodating and lovely and were a standout feature of the holiday. Lunch can be bought by the pool where they have a large range of food choices. The beach is a short walk of many steps or a elevator ride away and has plenty of sun beds available even at its busiest. Dinner is a formal affair and men are required to wear long trousers. On Sundays it is buffet only but during the rest of the week you can choose a main course from the menu or go with the buffet. The buffet had a wide range of food and everybody could find something they liked. If you are going as a Thompson holiday or just keen to explore I highly recommend the ferry from Rhodes town to the island of Symi. The town of Lindos is just a short taxi or bus ride away and if you need a taxi the hotel staff can order one for you. The town is the picture of a Greek summer with bars, shops and cats on every corner. I strongly recommend the Waterbird for drinks and snacks with a beautiful view of the ocean. The acropolis can be reached by donkey which isn't as daring as it sounds! Donkey rides can be bought right at the entrance to Lindos. Foods that can't be missed: seafood at Symi, any ice cream in Lindos (lemon was my favourite although mum was a fan of banana) and hummus! For my birthday the hotel sent complimentary sparkling wine, a card and gave me a chocolate cake!! They also made me a birthday pancake at breakfast! The steam room, sauna and gym are available to all and facials and other services can be booked. Within the first two days if you book a service then you get money off. WE LOVE YOU SAVVAS!!!! More
