Wonderful Hotel, staffed by people who care.
A birthday treat from my daughter and husband,we enjoyed a very relaxing time in The Lindos Mare Hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive, friendly and professional. Our room overlooking the pool and the bay was well appointed and the standard of housekeeping exceptional. This hotel sets a standard which should be noted by others. The restaurant provides a selection of foods ( typical Greek to modern European cuisine) something to suit everyone's taste. The location of the hotel is to be marvelled at,as it is stepped into the hillside overlooking the bay and has a quirky vehicular lift to help access some of the floors. There are stairs of course for those who feel energetic. The outstanding feature of this hotel is it's staff, everyone from duty managers to porters (no exceptions)are pleasant and committed to making your stay at The Lindos Mare Hotel a memorable occasion. Great Hotel. Six stars rating if I could
Just before I book for next year I would like to share with you what a wonderful hotel and holiday destination this is. Three years running and our biggest complaint is we could do with one more draw in the bedroom. The staff are very hard working, friendly and efficient. The food is great and the views and beach are perfect. If you want a beach holiday look no further. Spa was lovely too, my first massage but it will not be the last. If you want a mad fast paced club rocking holiday this ain't the place. If you want to recharge the batteries this has everything. Well done everyone at the Lindos Mare five stars again ( should be six) See you next year. More
Superb in Every Respect!
This is a superb 4 star hotel. It's set into the side of a steep hill leading down to the hotel's private beach. It has 2 pools; one near the hill top reception area and the other down above the beach. We had no difficulty whatsoever getting loungers (proper wooden steamers - very comfortable). The hotel has fairly large grounds and our room was a little away from the reception area and restaurant but this just enabled you to have a walk through the grounds before dinner or breakfast. The food was superb at all times and there was always a wide variety to the menus. The a la carte restaurant is well worth a visit. It will cost you as you get 28 euros credit towards your meal but the additional cost is well worth it given the quality of the food and the excellence of the service. This brings me to the staff themselves. I have never encountered such genuinely friendly and helpful staff. They always had a smile and a word for you. The service in the restaurants, in the bars and by the poolside was excellent. Special mention must go to the 3 Yiannis (restaurant/pool bar manager, a la carte waiter and restaurant waiter respectively) and to Barbora who was a drinks waitress but everyone was so friendly. The hotel and our room were modern and tastefully decorated and furnished. Walk in shower, modern/appropriate furniture, in-room fridge, good quality bathroom shampoos and shower gels, fluffy and refreshed daily towels, very effective air con, tea/coffe-making facilities, free digital room safe and (my wife tells me) the best hotel hair dryer she's come across were highlights of our room. I should add that we kept our room on until 17:30 on our day of departure for a very reasonable 35 euros. The hotel grounds and rooms were spotless. I didn't see a bit of litter anywhere during our stay! The hotel is 5 minutes away from Lindos by taxi (around 6 euros) so you have the peace and quiet of the hotel but the close proximity of Lindos itself if you want some variety. In summary, I can't speak more highly of the Lindos Mare and its staff. We will be back!More
This was our return visit to this hotel and it is the first time I have ever returned to a holiday hotel and I was a little concerned as to wether it would be as good. I shouldn't have worried, it was as good this time around. Staff were exceptional, service top class, food and drink available was fantastic. The hotel was spotless, the rooms comfortable and the spa and pool facilities exceeded all expectations. What can I say.... I will probably return...again!!!More
Lovely Hotel - lovely staff - Lovely food and service.. the bsais for a relaxing holiday.
Just got back from 2 weeks at the Lindos Mare hotel and I cant recommend it highly enough. We don't usually consider going back to the same place as there are so many places and hotels to explore around the world.. But... if you just want a sunny destination that will deliver great service, from excellent staff in a supper location (Lindos town is lovely); therefore relaxing holiday... this is it, so now I would go back. Constructive additions to the hotel, would be improved stuff in the rooms... they are pleasant enough, so I am being picky, but... Film channel on the TV if you just want an evening in... more draw space (Ok for 1 weeks clothes, not 2). We up-graded to a junior suite and just got a small sofa, but these vary as my parents had a far better room, but still a junior suite, so be aware.More
