Wedding in Lindos
Stayed at the Lindos Mare hotel, ceremony at St.Pauls, reception at Skala beach taverna, all absolutely amazing. The staff at the hotel couldn't be more helpful. Their attention to detail sets them apart from any other hotel that I have ever stayed in. The rooms are a good size, beautifully clean, so is the whole hotel.More

Outstanding hotel. Couple aged 29 and 30
Before I start I'll get the "need to know" stuff out of the way. â¢LOCATION: 3-4 mins to Lindos in a taxi 5euro, or, 5 mins on a bus just over a Euro or it can be walked on a road with no path. Very close in my opinion. (There aren't really hotels as such in Lindos itself) About an hour on the bus to Rhodes for 5.50. â¢PRIVATE BEACH â¢3 bars, 2 pools and 3 restaurants â¢Suitable for all - many couples aged 20-30, in addition to many other older couples and a few families too. â¢Fantastic food. This has to be the best hotel (beach holiday) we have stayed in. We stayed in room 611, which was above the rooms with a swim up balcony. Our room was amazing. It was modern, which I did not expect, exceptionally clean (maids did a fantastic job) and the views from the balcony were outstanding. We arrived late so missed dinner but were told we could get a voucher to use in the al a carte restaurant which was worth 28euro, so that was nice. We were then taken to our room, which as I said, was excellent. In our room waiting for us was a plate of sandwiches each and a bottle of wine, which we thought was a really nice touch and the sandwiches were great. The hotel itself was fantastic. It is set on quite a few levels (all disabled access from what I seen) from the top where our room was, dropping down to reception and bar, then dropping down to a pool then another pool and the beach with lots of rooms and a mini market in between. The hotel was absolutely spotless. Not a thing out of place and everything you needed within easy reach, even bar service at the pool. What made the hotel so great apart from its outstanding views and cleanliness was the staff. They literally could not do enough for you, and I mean every single member of staff from the cleaners and porters all the way up to the management in suits (who where there to seat you at breakfast and dinner). There were plenty of staff and you are always greeted with a smile. At meal times you are seated (inside or out) by a senior member of staff, who always has time for you individually, and then your waiter, who even goes as far as to pour your wine and water for you. You are treated as if you are dining in a Michelin star restaurant. Amazing service. Breakfast is a buffet, and caters for everyone. There are sweet and savoury, eggs, omelettes, bacon and sausage (no, not like home) croissants, muffins, biscuits etc etc. And coffee, tea, or both, as well as fresh juices. Dinner was confusing at first. You choose a main meal (choice of 3) then go to the buffet, which we originally thought was just a salad bar. Well not only was it a salad bar, but also another buffet, with so much (hot and cold) variety to choose from. Then your main meal (full now) then a choice of desserts. I must say, I never wanted to go half board as I never really like resort hotel food. But this place has amazing food, a very high standard, so instead of eating out every other night as planned, we ate in 6 out of 7 nights. The only night out being our first. Also, surprisingly, they had noticed that it was my birthday during our stay! Not only was I greeted with sparkling wine and a fruit basket in our room but as we went to have dessert that night in the restaurant, (a table of 4 with friends we'd met) I heard the manger singing happy birthday and turned round to see him with a birthday cake which we all shared! Thank you for that. It was such a lovely, thoughtful touch. The bars are very chilled out, every other night there is an event on. We had a tribute to The Drifters one night and Abba another. We chose not to go to these as it was not for us. However with our new friends we'd decided to try Greek night. The girls were pulled up to dance and even me at one point :/ For the last dance I made the excuse to go to the toilet and came back when it was over. The manager did not let me forget this and wound me up every time I saw him. We had a great time that night. Well worth giving it a go. All in all we had a fantastic holiday. It would have been completely standard if it wasn't for this hotel and its staff, and also the people there. We made great friends and got on with everyone there. Almost all of the guests you speak to at the hotel have been there before and I understand why. Thank you for a great stay. We'll certainly be back!!! More
Booked this on a whim for a weeks break. Good hotel, good food, very clean, such a lovely atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and Greek night when they all danced together ( by choice ) was excellent. Cannot fault this hotel for service, bit of a way from the main town but this did not detract from a lovely week of relaxation and we cannot thank or praise the staff enough for all their hard work. We look forward to returning! .More
