We have just returned from a weeks holiday at atlantica imperial hotel room 221. We both had a very enjoyable stay and would have no hesitation to return. Food choice fantastic, staff very polite and helpful. Rooms cleaned every day, fresh water left on table , tea making facilities all in your room. Entertainment was very good. Js 2 duo were outstanding, lovely couple. Fantastic rendition of moondance, thoroughly enjoyed listening to them! Yvonne and john. GlasgowMore

Great hotel with a lot going for it and a few things not quite spot on. The food seems to divide opinion. While the quantity and choice is immense, I can't quite rate the quality as high as many people have here. We went to another Thompson couples only hotel in Crete last summer and the food there was of a significantly higher quality. The pool was very nice and we had the benefit of an upgrade to all inclusive (which seems quite common), due to our room not being ready when we arrived. Nice enough room but not as good as the one we booked and which we were moved too on the 2nd day. The entertainment wasn't particularly good, though that might be down to personal taste. All in all it was a great holiday, however, it's unlikely that we'd return, partly due to there being so many other great hotels around the world to visit and partly because we've been to better hotels.More

I am currently staying at the atlantica imperial hotel room 115. I don't normally write reviews for hotels but because I am so impressed with the service and staff here I felt I had to. I am a coeliac (gluten free) which has in the past been quite tricky to eat abroad, this hotel offers excellent choices of food that are gluten free the chef walks me round every night to advise me what I can eat, even offering gluten free pasta and bread if I want it. I have never been so spoilt for choice with food, when you have an allergy this means a lot.
The hotel is spotless the room is beautiful better than expected, the staff can't do anymore for you. Only half way through our holiday and my husband and I are considering returning in the near future. I would highly recommend this hotel, ignore any of the negative reviews which isn't many on trip advisor as I can't see why there would be any.

Fantastic hotel, great staff, a little tired in places
we arrived very early in the morning. We were very quickly taken through check in. The couple in front of us were upgraded to a better room. The receptionist was very pleased to offer them this and with fingers crossed it was our turn. No upgrade, then. We chose to take our own cases to our room. As stated there was a note to say there was a sandwich and a bottle of water in the fridge for us. But as someone said the sandwich was a little bit dry, but I did find during the week that all the bread was dry so maybe that's what its like at this hotel.
I woke at about 7 in the morning to a smell of smoke, throat really dry. I went onto the balcony to see if someone was out there smoking but all I got was fresh clean air. Re entering the room was like stepping into a smoking room. My wife stirred and I asked her if she could smell it to which she replied yes too. Not me then. I put some clothes on and nipped up to reception, explained the problem and asked if we could change rooms. This was dealt quickly although the room they gave us was not as nice it did at least smell fresher. I had to return to the first room to get something out of the fridge and they were showing someone else our old room!
Overall we had a great time but some things are a little tired. Cane furniture in the rooms is a little dated. There's a flatscreen but it should be on the wall. The sun loungers are wooden but some had no wheels or loose wheels. The mattresses on these look dirty as they are grey, perhaps they are.
The parasols are metal with a thatched top but the metal in the parasol tops are really rusty. There is also an ash tray attached to the pole but it would be nice if these were emptied regularly. Two days we found them to be full and overflowing and the next empty. Not good for a non smoker.
Some of the loungers face the sea on the grassed area. Every day they are hosed down by the gardeners/cleaners but it makes the grass muddy. As this faces the sun I think this area should be paved. There is a tap to wash your feet/ footwear at the top of the path from the beach but you then have to cross the grass to the pool side.
The wifi was free but boy was it slow. Don't know how many people were using it but I got 3.17Mbps download speed. Just acceptable for most emails, yes some of still do a little even when we are away. Should be at least twice this speed for a holiday hotel.
I'm being really picky but we paid £1700 AI for two people for a week at this hotel
I have recommended this hotel and I would return but not straight away.More
