Atlantica Aegean Blue

With an exciting waterpark and a beachfront location, the Atlantica Aegean Blue is perfect for family getaways.

The Atlantica Aegean Blue is right on the edge of a sand and shingle beach, and views of the Mediterranean Sea stretch out for miles.

Wrapped up in gardens, the hotel keeps itself to itself, but you can catch the bus to Rhodes town from a stop just next to the property. From March 2016 this hotel will become part of the Family Life collection.

Excellent service, food and drinks

We have just come back from a ten day holiday at this hotel, and would fully recommend it to families with young children. The staff are exceptional, nothing being too much trouble. The bar ladies in the pool bar, and main hotel bar are fantastic, food in the main restaurant for breakfast and evening was the best I have had in an all inclusive hotel. We stayed round the pool at lunchtime, where the food was fine and as you would expect, bbq once a week which was nice. Alcoholic drinks were brilliant, a must is the red slush with peach snapps !!!! Rooms were clean, we had three double rooms booked, and had asked for two of them to be in a quiet area, and next door to each other, we ended up with them having a hall area between with a lockable door so it was like having a two bedroom apartment.......perfect. Inflatables in the hotel shop were not over priced, however, we didn't buy anything else. Water park was good and great that is was attached to the hotel, just shared by the sister hotels. As in most hotels, the sunbeds start to get reserved from about 7.30am, however, you can then leave the towels to go to breakfast, they tended to check them at 10am, and remove the towels at that time if you weren't there. Beach was shingle and small, however, loads of water sports to choose from, sea was warm and clear. A most if you can bring yourself to do it is climb the mountain to the side of the hotel first thing in the morning, i.e. 6am..... views are stunning. We went with two teenagers, and although the wifi was good in most areas, they were bored as the activities were for children under 12 years old really, and then adults.More

***SENSATIONAL***

I have experienced many luxurious hotels around the world and the Atlantica Aegean Blue has superseded my expectations in every which way. I would go as far as classing it as a 6* if that was possible. Activities for everyone and staff are the friendliest and most wonderful people we have ever met. Rooms impeccable, huge variety of delicious food (catering for everyone's needs), many pools to choose from, water park or beach so plenty of room for everyone. We went at the busiest time of the year (July) however ironically it didn't feel overly busy because there's plenty of space for everyone and didn't seem crowded. Fabulous place for old and young alike. I tend never to visit the same place twice and Iv never taken the time to write a review on trip advisor however I will definitely visit the Aegean Blue again and am already planning the next visit.More

Brilliant holiday yet again

Could not find a fault with any part of this holiday. We returned again having been last year and it did not fail. So relaxing easy holiday kids loved it x nothing was too much trouble, the staff were fantastic and brilliant with the kids. Hotel is very clean, rooms lovely in main building as that's where we stayed both times amazing views of pool and sea. Food is lovely, hot and fresh with a great variety each night. Would definitely return.More

first class holiday

I am writing this whilst Sat in the lobby of atlantica Aegean blue waiting for our transfer to the airport after two fantastic weeks holiday. The hotel is amazing. Cleanliness is top priority here as is customer satisfaction. The staff cannot do enough for you. Everyone is wonderfully polite and appear to enjoy their jobs. We had a blip on arrival...we had booked 2 family rooms as we were 2 adults and 3 teens 12,13,13 we needed space and adjacent/ interconnecting rooms. We were put in interconnecting doubles but with 2 teen girls and a teen boy in the same room it wasn't going to work. It was past midnight and the lady on reception assured us it would be rectified the next day.....and it certainly was. Litsa ( accommodation manager) offered us a family suite room 1319 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and a separate lounge with single bed and 2 degrees it was perfect and had it been available through Thompson's exactly what I would have booked.luggage was transferred and our holiday began. As I mentioned earlier staff are amazing in the restaurants bars reception. The guest relations girls Lauren & Andra deserve a mention they were brilliant and organised a special table in the a large carte Asian (Lagoon) restraint for our wedding anniversary it was exceptional. We also are at the a large carte Italian restaurant Tratoria , which is the pool side snack bar by day. The kids loved it and the food and service was first class. The pool area is brilliant for all ages well set out and fabulously clean. There is no shortage of Sun beds although people do reserve them early. The hotel do discourage this and we witnessed a member of staff checking in the morning and tagging beds then returning one hour later to remove towels. Towels are changed twice a week in the onsite shop. Our teens loved the "hangout" an area set aside for them and made many friends ( with the help of Google translator). They have an organised activity at 11.15 each morning. Water polo table tennis cards etc the water park is a stone's throw from main pool area and is brilliant with 4 bigger slides for the adventurous a lazy river and a fab area for younger kids. The snack hut there isn't included in AI but we didn't use it because the main bar was so close. We ate in the pool snack bar during the day the choice and standard was excellent. There is a narrow pebble beach a stone's throw from pool complex. Sea is lovely. Here you can do water sports.... remember to ask at reception for your free ticket fir using pedals/ canoes. Drinks are great. Help yourself in main restaurant and pool snack bar but there is also a trolley that comes around the pool and the stage bar. Drinks from lobby bar were better quality cocktails were fab. The only one thing I was slightly disappointed in was evening entertainments. I would expect better standard from 5* that being said we did enjoy the visiting acrobats and Abba and rock anthems nights and the pool party. Just felt the resident solo vocalists were not quite there. A fantastic place would definitely recommend and return......if we cod book the deluxe family suite.More

Another Enjoyable Holiday

Returning here out of season didn't disappoint. We had another great room with sea-view, large balcony, excellent storage space and cleaned well every day. This is the only family resort we return to slightly out of season as the staff, resort, restaurant and food quality never disappoint. If we holidayed with an under five in the future, this Hotel would be our first choice. We hope to see everyone soon.More
