A really fabulous resort hotel. Just returned from a most excellent week there. Where to begin?
Rooms - nice room with excellent beds kept nicely clean by the team throughout. There was some minor damage to the bathroom door frame and some minor damage to the exterior wall on our patio but otherwise the room was spotless. Good air-conditioning in the room and the family room we had a nice partition between us and the kids beds. Ours was ground floor and opened up onto a patio with table and chairs and a grassed area with an umbrella and 2 loungers just for us. TV offering was pretty weak but we were not there to watch TV. Room safe was â¬20 for the week.
WiFi - this is free and generally pretty good. Sometimes it more or less ground to a halt - no doubt due to the number of folk using it but in the late evenings or early mornings it was impressively fast.
Food - excellent. Different theme every night so lots of variety and very good quality throughout. 2 a la carte restaurants too. The Asian one was really enjoyable and very good. We didn't eat at the Italian one but this is a conversion of the poolside restaurant where you could get pizzas and gyros (lamb in pitta) (yummy!) during the day. There is an Italian night in the main restaurant in any case which was very good. At each breakfast and each evening they have 2 grills and 2-3 other areas where various food is prepared to ordered eg: omelettes, smoothies, pasta dishes, waffles etc. Good fun. A real positive is that they will keep the restaurant open for later arrivals like us. We were delayed to about 1am and it was great to have a limited range of nice hot food to welcome us after a long day travelling.
Staff - excellent. There is a real customer service ethos here and they all work so hard. A real shout out to 2 of the restaurant staff who often looked after us: Denisa and Manolis. They were great. The happy smiley lady at the pool bar was great too.
Pool / Loungers - great pool. Its a "chain" of 3 pools separated by walkover bridges getting progressively deeper towards the beach end so there is a depth for everybody .Two separate pools, one for littlies and one used for water polo and the like. This is one resort where there is no issue with loungers. There are definitely enough to go around and the only reason folk reserve them is to get a preferred location. Staff remove towels if you have not occupied reserved loungers by 10am.
Water Park - never been to a hotel with its own water park before and we loved this. We spent an hour or so here most days. Really clean and something for everyone. Never crowded so short or no queues for the slides.
Beach - the beach is lovely and there is a huge grassed area with loungers running up to it. Unfortunately there is a wall between the grassed area and the beach so you can't see the sea when on the loungers. Beach is very scenic (as is the view from the hotel) as there is a rocky peninsula / mountain to one side which you can climb if you are energetic. View is amazing (apparently!!). Beach is sand/shingle and a bit tough on the feet in places so sandals, aqua shoes are a good idea when walking along it. Snorkelling was pretty good when the wind / choppiness dropped but it was often quite breezy when we were there, which was welcomed in light of the temperature (mid 30's). The beach is one of the few areas where we think there are opportunities for the hotel. The retaining wall at present is rough concrete and could be a lot more presentable and we wondered whether its height blocking the view was really necessary.
Resort - didn't really go into Kolimbia as we had no need to but it has a good range of restaurants and pharmacy etc if you need it. Interesting eucalyptus lined road running into it.
Car Hire - Rhodos cars in the hotel foyer provide an excellent uncomplicated service. Probably not the cheapest but zero hassle and car was new and spotless. We enjoyed a nice trip out one day to Lindos (for the Acropolis, go early - I mean it - it was mental busy and the queue absurd by 10.30am - we arrived at around 9.15 and went straight up and in and even then it was getting busy), Seven Springs (Eptà Pigès) an "oasis" of lushness not at all far from Kolimbia (walk the tunnel!) and Glystra beach. All really worthwhile.
I think that's it. All in all highly recommended.More

Just returned home from a fabulous 2 week stay!
The hotel staff and reps all made this holiday. They will do anything to ensure your stay is the best it can be.
Food was good and despite some fussy children in our party they never went hungry!!!! With 8 of us travelling together the Al a carte restaurants were a great choice to ensure we had a few nights table service and the food was exceptional (with a kids menu in each to please the fussy ones!) Our favourites were the tavern by the sea and the green n grill. We booked these the night we arrived so as not to be disappointed.
Our room was ideal: spacious, clean and comfortable. The maid friendly and came daily.
My daughter had a problem with her eye whilst there and the guest relations and Thomson reps all helped us get her the treatment we needed and then kept asking how she was; they genuinely cared. Thank you Tom and Anna for your note. And of course not forgetting Lauren from guest relations, for all your get better hugs for Emma which made her feel so special and instantly better. We saw your mum at the airport :-)
The highlight of our stay for our party though was the entertainment team. Little did we know that 3 of them arrived in Rhodes at the same time as us.
The nights they entertained us we thoroughly enjoyed. They were all soooooo good in their own way but also sang well as a team.
A special mention to Jemma and her Disney show...that girl can sing, we were all singing away with you! You just have a way of filling the stage with joy and happiness and making everyone smile...your energy is endless.
Jemma and Kerry's wicked inspired song was a highlight and the girls also ran The Pop academy 3 days a week. Amazingly in just a few hours they had got our daughter and a dozen others to sing solo parts of songs and learn dance routines ready to perform. Incredible :-) Ryan our memories of you seem to make me want to put my hands in the air, with a light on my phone, sing along and sway! Matt is amazing and well worth a visit to the lobby bar. Don't be afraid to get up and dance...we all did! Along with his breakdancing skills which blew my mind.
Their talents are endless, just so sad we had to come home and couldn't stay to enjoy more. Thanks to all of the team...that last night of our holiday we shared with you all will be treasured forever. More

Great great holiday! Just returned from a weeks holiday in Rhodes at this fantastic hotel. We had a swim up room and really glad we chose that option. We found most of this break a great experience. The food was first class, we did take up the three options offered to all inclusive guests which were evening meals at the sister hotel opposite the Atlantica club, also at the windmill restaurant on site and the upper restaurant in the hotel. These options were class! The entertainment was good, the hotels own duo were great, the rest of the weeks evening entertainment was ok. Daytime entertainment was a little lacking. The pool was great. The sunbeds overlooking the sea were really comfy. Would we return, without a doubt yes and will probably return in a couple of years time. We took on the all inclusive option and glad we did, the lunch time menu was great and the drinks were good quality- the cocktails were really nice although I did have to drink a few to get my monies worth! Any downsides? Only just enough of the comfy sunbeds. Other than the resident duo the entertainment was ok but only ok. Although the wi fi was free it was not the best when away from the hotel lobby. Outside the hotel the town is a little dingy but I loved the hotel so much there was little reason to leave it too often.More
