Fantastic beaches, standout nightlife and historical towns

Cheap holidays to Rhodes give you great deals on flights and accommodation, leaving you with more cash for enjoying this perfect summer holiday island…

Why you should visit Rhodes

From the tranquillity of Kolymbia to the party atmosphere of Faliraki, Rhodes has everything you need for a perfect summer holiday. And when you book a cheap holiday to Rhodes, you can enjoy its great beaches and unspoiled surroundings for less. Here are a few ideas...

  1. A bumper crop of beaches

The island has lots of fantastic beaches to choose from. Rhodes Town has a sand–and–shingle beach right in the thick of the action, and it comes with the added bonus of a diving board that goes out to sea. Over on Faliraki Beach, expect 4 kilometres of sand and loads of restaurants and bars. Lindos' gently shelving sand makes it popular with families, while Kolymbia beach is a good spot for jet skiing and scuba diving.

  2. Shopping in Rhodes Town

You'll find everything from souvenirs to high street names in Rhodes Town. For local mementos and crafts, head to Orffeos Street or Socrates Street in the Medieval part of town – there are plenty of shops selling hand–crafted jewellery and locally–made lace. In the new town, you've got familiar favourites like M&S and Mango, as well as swanky designers like Versace and Armani.

  3. Trips to the waterpark

Tipping buckets, twisters, lazy rivers, wave pools... Faliraki Waterpark has them all. Look out for the Spiral Slide of Darkness – it'll test the nerve of even the bravest water baby. In between zooming down the slides, you can keep your strength up in the cafés and snack bars.

  4. Donkey rides in Lindos

With its whitewashed houses and distinctive black and white pebbled floors, Lindos is a great place to experience Rhodes' unspoiled surroundings. Its car–free streets are great to amble around, plus it's got acropolis ruins on the top of a hill. It's a bit of a climb to get up here, which is why so many visitors opt to go by donkey.

  5. Top–class nightlife

Faliraki is the island's party animal and its undisputed king of clubs and bars. The best place to start is Bar Street, where you can share a fishbowl cocktail to a soundtrack provided by big name DJs. If you want live music, Arthur's Bar – which also has an in–house hypnotist – is really popular.
