Mousses Apollo

A group of ten houses, some semi-detached and some detached, in enclosed and well-tended gardens in a quiet olive grove. Each one has a spacious open-plan living and cooking space and shower room occupying the ground floor, with the two bedrooms on the floor above accessed by a wooden staircase (stair gates are available on request). They are full of character with their attractive beamed ceilings and richly coloured walls, tiled murals depicting figures from the age of myths, and handsome, dark, heavy, wooden furniture.

The front terrace is a pleasant spot to read a book while keeping half an eye on the children playing in the large shared pool or in the enclosed gardens. Mousses are superbly placed to enjoy a variety of interests. Beach lovers and experienced kite or windsurfers will appreciate the proximity to the lovely beach at Agios Ioannis, walkers will enjoy strolling along the shore past windmills and dunes, while everyone can enjoy the proximity to good tavernas, either close to the sea or along the waterfront in endearingly unpretentious Lefkas Town.

These comfortable houses at Mousses are named after the Muses, the nine ancient goddesses who were to provide the inspiration for those turning their hand to artistic and scientific pursuits. Guests can have the opportunity to stay in Calliope, Clio, Erato, Eliterpe, Melpomene, Polyhymnia, Terpsichore, Thalia and Ourania, who were the muses of epic poetry, history, love poetry, music, tragedy, sacred poetry, dancing, comedy and astronomy respectively. These talented daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne were led by Apollo, who lends his name to the tenth house.

These lovely houses make a perfect parents' paradise due to the wonderful hospitality of the owners Eleni and Andreas and the fact that our Lefkas creche and club is conveniently hidden behind the pool bar. Dropping the children off couldn't be easier and you will find that Lefkas is a very family friendly island. Lefkas Town square is pedestrianised and the ideal place to watch the world go by as the children play safely and maybe even join in a game of Greek hide and seek.
