This one’s near the beach and has a taverna serving tasty dishes. Maybe that’s why it gets so many repeat guests.
People love the location of this place – it’s right in the middle of Tingaki, but set back from the main road. Plus, it’s just 2-minutes’ walk from Tingaki’s lovely sandy beach.
The low-rise, whitewashed apartments are arranged around the pool. And when it comes to mealtimes, there’s a taverna that does tasty authentic dishes.

A great holiday with the hubby and kids!!
Our second visit to Mythos Apartments and we loved it as much as our first!!! Great apartments, great food and we love the lovely Greek residents! We were there when the earthquake happened which was very scary but everyone made us feel so at ease and life continued as normal as it could. A wonderful place and we won't hesitate in coming back again!!More
Very Nice Apartments
Not long returned from a two week family holiday in the Mythos Apartments. We were allocated Room 41 and really feel that we got one of the best apartments in the complex. We only had one other apartment beside us and had two large balconies with a view of the sea to one side and the mountains to the other. All balcony doors and the window in the kitchen had mossie screens. First impressions were good and the apartment was very clean. Towels and bed linen seemed to be changed every other day. We paid for the air con (a must I think) and it took a while for it to cool the room down. One of the units was working much more efficiently than the other. As a side note, as you need your key for the electrics the aircon does not work when you are not in the apartment and we found it took quite a while for the bedrooms to cool down. The pool was lovely and some days when were were there (last two weeks of June) I would say there were no more than 15/16 people around the pool, lovely and quiet. The beach is just a stroll down the road and we used George's sunbeds. E8 for two sunbeds and free wifi. There was a mini heatwave when we were there and the water was lovely and warm but the sand piping hot. We had no trouble getting sunbeds. The restaurant on site was very good and the staff were very friendly, in particular the gentleman who worked the pool bar restaurant in the day time and then main restaurant in the evening, a very kind and friendly man. We ate qute a few times in the restaurant and also in Oneiro and the More Meni restaurant next door. We had a 9.30pm flight home and we were able to get a late check out for E25 so we had our room for the whole day, the old lady in reception sorted this for us. There is a small supermarket right beside the complex to get any of your essentials. This is a quiet resort, if you are looking for a very lively resort this place is not for you. It suited us perfectly as we had kids with us. If you love a good hot sun holiday and love the pool and beach I would def recommend the Mythos Apartments without question but beware of the mossies in this resort, they will find that mm of skin that you missed with the repellant, they are vicious!!!!!!More
A little Gem
My Family and I have been to these apartments for the last 7 years .Tingaki is a lovely family orientated resort , with multiple bars , tavernas , restaurants to choose from , there are a few music bars for karaoke , live bands etc etc . The Mythos apartments are a family run hotel /apartments , which are kept spotless , the rooms are cleaned everyday except Sunday , the staff , Kostas mastoras , Helen , George , Julia , demitri , terry , kostas , and Georges mum Helen and all the other staff , are all second to none and will do everything they can to make you're holiday as good as possible. As we have been here a number of years we dont normally do the welcome meeting , however this year we came with friends and attended the meeting . The Thomson rep Caroline was first class , every time she was at this hotel she would walk around the pool talking to guests , making sure the guests were enjoying themselves and that they didn't have any problems . She is always very friendly , always has a smile for he's customers and goes out of her way to help . This year she has had the added problem of an earthquake to contend with , which has made her job all the more difficult , the next time she came to the hotel she checked on all her guests to make sure that all was well with them . Another year with an outstanding Thomson rep at the mythos apartments and hope to see Caroline again next year .More
We have just returned and had a fantastic time as usual. One of the reasons we love Kos is the friendly and welcoming people!! They are the best including our TUI rep. She goes out of her way to have a chat and a laugh. She is so informative and will do everything in her power to help. Her professionalism is also second to none. She handled a particularly distressing incident last year when we witnessed one family, who verbally abused her in a very bullying and intimidating way. She remained calm and although visibly shaken after the incident, left the mythos without comment. This year she had the added pressure of dealing with the aftermath of the earthquake, coming to the mythos on her day off! Even though she must have had personal concerns with her own family and home. Thank you Caroline for all your help and hope to see you next year. More
An excellent base
Stayed as a party of five in two apartments - one with double room and one with two double rooms. Two of our party had stayed at Mythos Apartments before and couldn't recommend it more. Good facilities and helpful staff. We stayed on a self-catering basis but ate frequently at the site. The site is in central Tigaki, right next to shops and supermarkets and a minute's walk from the local bus stop and beach. The apartments each had a patio/balcony area including chairs, table, and an airer which was useful. The patio/balconies were separated from inside the room by mosquito screens and an external lockable door. The apartments were cleaned daily to an excellent standard (except on Sunday, the housekeepers' day off) and linen and towels were replaced when required. The communal pool and bar areas were always kept clean and tidy. Food ordered at the bar was delicious - try the Pasta Poseidon! - and very reasonably priced. The meals were served promptly and small, thoughtful touches like placemats and Parmesan were brought to the table with the food. The bar had a wide range of spirits, wines, and cocktails, and notably delicious Mythos beer. There were also children's 'cocktails', soft drinks, and milkshakes for younger guests. The staff we met throughout our stay were kind, professional, and welcoming, and happy to recommend places to visit in Tigaki and Kos. The housekeeping staff too were friendly and hard-working! One thing worth noting is the activity from the bar until late at night. It wasn't a problem for us, but could be for those with very small children. It could be worth packing earplugs if a very light sleeper. In short, we would recommend this site as an excellent base for exploring Kos. More
