What makes Thomson Couples special?

Wrapped in tranquil gardens and set right on the beach, the Oceanis Beach & Spa Resort is the perfect couples’ retreat.
You’d be hard-pressed to find a hotel in a better spot than the Oceanis Beach & Spa Resort. The property is cocooned by tranquil gardens that cover more than 60 acres, so you’ll feel like you’re in your own peaceful little world. Best of all, the walk through the trees takes you right out onto Psalidi Beach.

In the centre of the grounds there are two swimming pools, and a bar that’ll keep you going with drinks. It’s the hotel’s Euphoria Spa that deserves special mention, though. This contemporary space offers up treatments especially designed for two – choose from the likes of hot stone massages or specialities like the Anatolia Mystic treatment.

There's a buffet restaurant serving pan-global cuisine, and you can eat for free once a week in the stylish Italian à la carte. There’s also an intimate Greek taverna specialising in authentic local dishes. In the evenings, all of the restaurants offer al fresco seating, so you can dine under the stars, too.

Your guide to Psalidi, Kos

"A peaceful suburb of Kos Town, Psalidi is a low-key resort where you can simply kick back and relax or commute to the bustling capital."

Just down the road from Kos Town, Psalidi is little more than a beach, a few hotels and a sprinkling of tavernas and restaurants. So, if you’re looking for a quiet getaway but with easy access to the buzzing nightlife of the island’s bustling capital, then this is the place for you. Psalidi has its own sand and shingle beach, and there are several other stretches of beach north and south of the resort, including those at Kos Town and the remote bay of Bros Therma, where hot springs flow into the sea and make it a bit like a bath. Evenings generally involve a meal and a few drinks in a taverna, but it’s just a mile or so to Kos Town if you want to party. As for getting out and about during the day, Kos Town has plenty of sightseeing attractions, including superb Venetian architecture, an impressive castle and fascinating Roman remains. Then there’s the eastern corner of the island, which is something of an ecological enclave. Mount Dikaois a tableau of pine forests and craggy cliffs. And the lagoon at Alyki is another meeting place for transient avians, including flocks of flamingos.
