Here you get 2 great pools, plus a peaceful setting within walking distance of Kos Town.
With its turrets and archways, this place looks like a Venetian castle. It comes with 2 large pools, one of which has a swim-up bar. And there's a great little taverna.
The hotel’s in a peaceful spot beside Psalidi beach. And it’s less than a 5-minute drive into the capital, Kos Town. You can walk there in half an hour – the route is especially pretty.

Fantastic holiday at Platanista
We were very impressed with our stay at Platanista. The facilities are great - clean & comfortable family room, lovely swimming pools with plenty of sunbeds, beautiful grounds, tennis court/football area was good fun, practical gym and fantastic choice in the buffet style restaurant. The food was delicious and there was something for everyone at breakfast / dinner and it was different choices every day. All the staff are very good at their jobs and went out of their way to ensure you had a good stay. The evening entertainment was varied but we would have liked more live music acts. We would love to return for another holiday & would definately recommend to family/friends.More
Great Hotel and wonderful staff
We have just returned from the hotel after a wonderful weeks stay.Everything that compliments the hotel has already been said and they are all true. The buildings are beautifully kept and spotlessly clean as are the grounds. There are 2 large pools ranging from 2.8m deep to 1.6m with a small kids section at the top.Plenty of sunbeds around all the pools and a separate all lounger section. There is a snack bar in between the pools, a swim up drinks and cocktail bar and local toilets. All drinks and snacks can be paid either by cash or put on the room bill but they can add up.The staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble for any of them. Room safes are available at 12euros for a week and pool towels for 4 euros each. The beach is approx 100m straight done the access road and Kos town a 5 minute bus ride ( every 15 min) at 1.5 euros one way. If you book here you wont be disapointed especially looking at some of the other hotels in the area.More
A great hotel
We had a lovely hot stay here just after the earthquake. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the entertainment staff were funny and great with the kids. The pools provided hours of fun for the kids and it wasnt too difficult to get a sun bed. Rooms were clean and air con which was much needed. Only draw backs - on arrival we were told men had to wear long trousers for dinner - this isnt mentioned anywhere on website or literature and many guests were caught out without any and had to go into town to buy some. We were lukcy enough to have packed a pair- however they were extremely scrunched up and the hotel doesnt offer an iron but are ahppy enough to sell you their ironing service!More

Definitely a few improvements needed
First of all, like many others, I have to commend this hotel on it's absolutely stunning grounds. It's a beautiful building and you are certainly not disappointed with your choice when you first arrive outside. This hotel doesn't offer a complimentary drink as a welcome like many other 4* (and some 3*), however, I suppose that has something to do with the size of the hotel and the large amount of guests. We quickly forgave that when we went to the bar by the pool at night where the lovely barman made exquisite cocktails and chatted happily to us. It was a great first night for us because of him. Breakfast buffet was lovely, they have everything you could ask for. The freshly made waffles / crepes / pancakes was an amazing touch. The staff in the morning are very friendly and helpful. Lovely Markos would always greet us with a smile with coffee. We weren't overwhelmed with the style of our room like we have been in other places, however, we did have a beautiful view of the pool and we loved to sit outside. I have to praise the cleaners for the rooms between 380-390, they are so thorough and amazing at their job. It was a pleasure to return back to our room every day. The daytime poolbar and reception bar are was a nice touch and Nikoleta is so friendly and lovely to talk to. She is a great asset to this hotel. All the best to you for the wedding and your new life in Greece! The spa was a lovely extra and we paid for some extra massages, the staff in there were really friendly, relaxing and helpful. The lady on reception is full of smiles and recommendations of things to do on the island. Evelyn was great at massages! Now for a few unfortunate negatives... The service at the restaurant by the pool area is pretty bad. There was one waitress shouting at another waitress and being generally mean to her and I find that sort of stuff VERY hard to watch. We ate there once and never again. The main restaurant was good (deserts were amazing, they made it for me), however, we only ate there once because it's not that nice to sit inside, I think they need to do some improvements on the interior in there (make it a bit more cosy and elegant) because it's not nice to sit inside and the tables outside are always completely full with guests waiting 30mins for an outside space. The reception staff are pretty unhelpful, unsympathetic and I hated going up to them and asking about things. With ONE exception - the younger man with bright blue eyes who carried our suitcase to our room at night, I don't remember his name but he is so sweet, smiley and was always lovely). It's not an easy job, I understand, but they can do better. The taxi's in Kos are useless. There is one taxi company on the island that the hotel uses and you should expect a 45+ minute wait when you'd like a taxi to Kos town. There are numerous guests all waiting inside and outside, irritated. We once pre-ordered a taxi for the morning (5 euros extra to do this) to drop us to the harbour for a boat trip, the taxi was 20 minutes late and as we arrived we were running and we watch our boat sail away, it was a horrible moment and when I explained it to the man on reception he didn't seem to care at all, simply told me that's how it is with taxis in Kos. I expected the hotel to take some responsibility, offer something as complimentary as they are affiliated with the taxi company and we lost a lot of money by putting trust in them when they obviously know how unreliable they are. After that we only took the bus, it's 1/4 of the price and more efficient service. Overall, due to its big size, this hotel isn't as personal, friendly and welcoming as the other hotels I've been to in Greece. I've paid a lot less and had much nicer service elsewhere. I have always praised Greece on their amazing service however that didn't shine in this hotel (apart from the people I mentioned) maybe just because it's so big. Times are also tough in Greece, it could be that too. Finally, to end on a positive note, my boyfriend and I had a lovely holiday and there were definitely some great things about this hotel that contributed to that. All the best. More
Perfect - a Model Hotel
Everything was literally perfect. The hotel was flawless from the food to the amenities and the room. The staff were fantastic. The vibe was busy but not noisy, mostly families from all over Europe with teenage kids but young ones as well and couples (like us), and no drunken yobs. The hotel is away from the town centre but there are lovely beach bars only a short walk - we didnt want hustle and bustle so this was a bonus not a problem. The only negatives were the bus service from the hotel to Kos was undependable- (but that's hardly the hotel's fault), and the evening entertainment was a bit flat - but personally I'm not a shows type of guy; we were drinking cocktails in a beach bar! ;) I intend to return.More
