"A peaceful suburb of Kos Town, Psalidi is a low-key resort where you can simply kick back and relax or commute to the bustling capital."
Just down the road from Kos Town, Psalidi is little more than a beach, a few hotels and a sprinkling of tavernas and restaurants. So, if you're looking for a quiet getaway but with easy access to the buzzing nightlife of the island's bustling capital, then this is the place for you. Psalidi has its own sand and shingle beach, and there are several other stretches of beach north and south of the resort, including those at Kos Town and the remote bay of Bros Therma, where hot springs flow into the sea and make it a bit like a bath. Evenings generally involve a meal and a few drinks in a taverna, but it's just a mile or so to Kos Town if you want to party. As for getting out and about during the day, Kos Town has plenty of sightseeing attractions, including superb Venetian architecture, an impressive castle and fascinating Roman remains. Then there's the eastern corner of the island, which is something of an ecological enclave. Lake Psalidi, actually a coastal salt marsh, is a haven for wildlife, including masses of migrating birds. You can also visit Mount Dikaois, with its pine forests and craggy cliffs. And the lagoon at Alyki is another meeting place for transient avians, including flocks of flamingos. Decisions, decisions.
