Lovely little hotel

Stayed here from 30 July til 10 August in one of the apartments(room 112) which is right beside the pool. Lovely friendly family run place. They cannot do enough to help. Ideal location......a quick walk down the side street and you're at the Marina. Walk left from the marina and it takes you to the town....15 mins walk...some lovely places to eat. Booking trips is easy too....there are numerous boats at the Harbour, which offer trips out. Little Supermarket over the road from hotel, there is a bigger and cheaper one round the back of hotel (Carrefour )2 mins walk. Pool area isn't very big,but nice....depth slopes steep so take care. Mon night there is a bbq night (10 euro adult n 5 for kids) well worth it....food and entertainment. All in all....lovely hotel...really enjoyed our stay....will be sorry to go. More

Lovely family hotel!!!

After reading the reviews couldn't wait to arrive. Stayed from the 19th-26th July in room 301 at the front of the hotel. Spotlessly clean hotel!! Breakfast is plentiful! Even Lurpak butter! Cannot fault the owners Ang and Tula such a lovely couple. Katerina on reception is lovely! All the staff are lovely and polite always have a Hello for you. Not far to Peters beach, 10 minute walk into Kos Town which is lively and bustling! Definitely do the 3 island boat trip it's a fab day out.....book with the hotel and you get picked up and dropped off there! Paradise Beach is worth a day out....but not if you have mobility issues! Very steep inclines to get to the beach and get back up! Bike hire shop over the road! Definitely do the Greek Night fab food and fab dancing! Can't wait to return! See you soon Miss Pandora and Mum xMore

Melanie C,

The best little hotel in Kos!

This is our third year visiting this hotel. I have looked elsewhere the last couple of years but always get pulled back to the Poseidon Hotel and Apartments. It is very close to Kos Town (walking either on the back road or down on the coast road) about 10 mins, The Hotel itself is spotlessly clean which is the most important thing on my list and a credit to the wonderful housekeeping staff who are worth their weight in gold! , Toula and Ange are the owners and I will guarantee you will leave feeling like family. Nothing is too much for them and it is always better to book any day trips with Toula rather than your tour operator. Not only is it cheaper but you get collected from and returned to the hotel. The apartments are basic but amazingly clean, but we required nothing more as we did not intend to spend anytime in it other than sleeping! Some people have mentioned the restaurant across the road, it did nothing for us. We tried it once and preferred the much more authentic family run restaurant just round the corner called Coral (ask Toula for directions). We hired a car through Ange for 40 Euros for the day. Amazing value! The pool area is small and super friendly. The snack bar (pool side) is great value and run by Nicko, tuna salad is great! Monday night is Greek Party night. this is not my type of thing at all and avoid it all costs whenever such a night is happening on Holiday.........NOT THIS ONE! The BBQ is great and the rest of the night is high energy and lots of fun. The traditional Greek dancers are great and really get you in the mood. I love Greek night. There will always be those who find things wrong with any hotel they go to, the Poseidon is your base for your holiday, it is not your home away from home. If you require home luxuries this is not for you. If you want to feel like family, be treated like a long lost friend (even on your first visit) and feel safe then you will love it here. We stayed self catering so can't comment on the hotel side of things other than to say no one seemed to have any complaints around the pool. We will return!More

Great week

Just back from a week here and it was really great. The hotel was lovely and clean and the staff were really good. They did snacks all day which were tasty and plentiful. Cycle hire just over the road was 15 euros for a week. Would definitely go back to this wonderful hotelMore

Lovely Place

My husband and I stayed here for a week, the room was spotless and spacious, it was a self catering apartment, basic but who wants to cook a 3 course meal while on holiday!!! There is a small supermarket across the road from the Poseidon, and a bigger one ( Carrefour ) about 5- 10 mins walk away. The best way to get back and forth from the hotel to the sea front is by bicycle the roads are quite safe and there is a cycle path that runs right along the sea front we paid 15 euros each for the week The owners and staff are really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much bother for them. Would we stay there again.......YES is the answer.More
