Imperial Hotel

This family-run hotel packs in an energetic pool scene, an al fresco bar, and modern rooms. But it’s the location that really shines – the hotel is close to both the beach and historical Kos Town.

This family-run hotel packs in an energetic pool scene, an al fresco bar, and modern rooms. But it’s the location that really shines – the hotel is close to both the beach and historical Kos Town.

The Imperial Town is anchored in the edge-of-town neighbourhood of Lambi. Loungers and bars line the sand and pebble beach – it’s just a 5-minute walk away. Kos Town and its historic harbour comes in at 15 minutes on foot – or longer, if you get distracted by the tavernas, coffee shops, and British bars en route.

A lively pool scene takes centre stage at the hotel, with stripy sunbeds and ultra-bright lilos giving the area a seaside feel. At lunchtime, the pool bar throws together snacks like club sandwiches and milkshakes. Basic breakfasts are laid out in the buffet room – rolls, cereals, cured meats, and cheeses make regular appearances.

Streamlined rooms are stocked with all the essentials, including private balconies and minibars. Décor is minimalist – think neutral-coloured bedspreads and bright wall prints.

Lovely family run hotel

We stayed for a week at the beginning of September, we arrived at 1am and Tony the barman kept the bar open until 3am for us, every evening he would have a chat with us and gave us lots of local tips of places to visit. The location is brilliant, 5 minute walk to the beach and about 10 minutes to shops and restaurants. The hotel have a greek BBQ night on a monday which I would highly recommend, we had a brilliant time and the food was lovely. The only bad points were that the shower was quite small, as was the balcony - but this wasn't a huge problem. The breakfast was not great but the bar had a cheap snack menu and all of this food was lovely. We had a great time but there isn't much to do in Kos - I think it's better for older couples, I wouldn't recommend to families. When booking your holiday, do not book with Thomas Cook! We had so many problems when it came to departing, you don't have a rep and you have to either look everything up online or call their call center from your mobile! Thomson have a rep at this hotel so it would probably be best to book with them!More

Great value hotel!!

If you're looking for a good price for a clean hotel with a great location this is PERFECT! All staff were very friendly. Had no problems. Great pool. Great room. Great price. Perfect location. 5-10 minute walk to the beach. 10-15 minute walk from the harbour. So pleased I chose this hotel.More

Lovely family run hotel

Sorry for the late review, me and my partner stayed the first week of July what a perfect hotel, comfy and clean and a fantastic location 5 mins walk from the beach and nightlife also all the resteraunts. On our second night at the hotel It was one of the owners daughters birthdays, we we're all given cake and sang happy birthday which I though was fantastic! Looking forward to hopefully returning next year!! XxxMore

Leannedob90,

A very friendly family run clean hotel

I should have written this before, my apologies. My husband and I (Richard and Karen) stayed during the first two weeks of July. I had emailed prior as I am afraid of heights and I didn't want to be on the top floor. Michael was very accommodating and nothing was ever too much trouble. We had a first floor room overlooking the pool. Richard sleeps very badly but was never disturbed in the night. The room had recently been refurbished and was spotless and cleaned every day. We had a hairdryer in the room and there was plenty of space. The family that the run the hotel seem to be very close and well organised. The bar is reasonably priced and there is always a friendly face there and the food is good. We found the breakfast very good. I looked forward every morning to the fresh cob rolls, boiled eggs and plenty of delicious tomatoes. Who would want a cooked breakfast every morning anyway, you would be the size of a house!!. All the staff were very polite and helpful and I will say it again that nothing was too much trouble. The pool area has to be one of the best in the town. The location could not have been better, close to the beach and nightlife but far enough away to get a good nights sleep. I have been all over the Greek Islands and I have to say, this is the best hotel, by far, that I have ever stayed in for value for money, location, cleanliness and friendliness. We shall certainly be back. Kos town is a very diverse town to stay in where there is something for everyone. Bar street for a nights madness, lovely restaurants, boat trips, plenty of history and so nice to know that you are going back to a good hotel. I could not recommend the hotel Imperial highly enough. Thanks for a great holiday. Karen and Richard GilbertMore

Modern Hotel!

We stayed here for one week at the beginning of August, we arrived late at night and were quickly greeted and checked in by a member of staff. The room was very modern, spacious and clean. The bathroom was one of the best bathrooms I have ever experienced whilst staying in a hotel (especially in Greece) due to its recent renovation. Although we never had a pool facing room, and the balcony was quite small, the balcony did have double doors with an additional mosquito net door which was good, especially for when sitting out at night. The pool was small, but nice and there was always plenty of sunbeds to choose from. The hotel bar was cheap for food at lunchtime, however drinks were quite expensive. The air con was 6 euros a night, which is well worth it especially in the hotter months. All safety deposit boxes are located in reception and cost 25 euros per week which I felt was well worth the money. The hotel itself was only a short walk from both the beach and the marina, where many bars and restaurants could be found. Our particular favorite restaurant was Fidelio where they served great Greek food. As check out is 12pm, this makes waiting all day for a 11pm bus to the airport seem very long. However, the hotel offers both towels and a shower room to use on your last day, which is both helpful and ideal. Overall, we had an excellent stay at the Imperial and would recommend it to all! Kos is a beautiful island and we are likely to return!More
