This family-run hotel packs in an energetic pool scene, an al fresco bar, and modern rooms. But it’s the location that really shines – the hotel is close to both the beach and historical Kos Town.
The Imperial Town is anchored in the edge-of-town neighbourhood of Lambi. Loungers and bars line the sand and pebble beach – it’s just a 5-minute walk away. Kos Town and its historic harbour comes in at 15 minutes on foot – or longer, if you get distracted by the tavernas, coffee shops, and British bars en route.
A lively pool scene takes centre stage at the hotel, with stripy sunbeds and ultra-bright lilos giving the area a seaside feel. At lunchtime, the pool bar throws together snacks like club sandwiches and milkshakes. Basic breakfasts are laid out in the buffet room – rolls, cereals, cured meats, and cheeses make regular appearances.
Streamlined rooms are stocked with all the essentials, including private balconies and minibars. Décor is minimalist – think neutral-coloured bedspreads and bright wall prints.

Great family run hotel.....
Having never been to Greece before we booked for Kos and arrived in late September 2013. We fell in love with the place. The family that run the hotel are very, very friendly and nothing is too much bother for them. The rooms were spotless, basic and on the small side but spotless. The pool was clean and plenty of sunbeds for all to enjoy. They had just started to do a Greek night, which for us was far better value than the one that was on offer by the Thomas Cook rep. Bar snacks are basic, but good value for money and even I managed to eat most stuff and I am Gluten intolerant. Over the road is also a great wee local restaurant run by Hassan and his family, you must visit. He will treat you like you have known him all of his life. Book a 3 island trip and go on the Caterina, with George the captain who is so much fun. DO NOT book with the reps as they will charge you double if not triple the price. Similar if you go to Bodrum, book your own otherwise you get a quick trip to some ruined windmills and then get dragged round a gold market miles away and not get to relax in Turkey. My only gripe was BREAKFAST, very poor quality and weak orange squash. Other than that they dont mind you bringing in your own stuff. There is a Carrefour at the rear of the hotel which is half the price of the little mini markets on the main strip. Also we hired bikes from Motoharley and cycled everywhere, including to the therms. Would we book this hotel again??? Yes in a heartbeat, it was clean, friendly and that is the most important thing with rooms made up fresh each day.More

Great location, average hotel
After a weeks trip here with my boyfriend in early September we were happy with the hotel. There is nothing extraordinary about the rooms, but it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was extremely basic, but there were lovely bread rolls and jam, so I can't moan! The room had twin beds and an extra we didn't ask for which took up a lot of room! The bathroom was clean, but the shower leaked. The room furniture was great for what we needed, and the room door didn't close properly so it was noisy at night when people were in the corridor. There aren't any safety deposit boxes in the room, but there is a sort of locker facility in the reception which is monitored by CCTV. The reception has a few board games and free Wi-Fi. The pool area was good with plenty of sunbeds. This is probably one of the best locations in Kos town. It was a 5 min walk to the beach, 2 min walk to the nearest shops and 10 min walk to the main centre with all the bars and restaurants.More

my husband and i stayed at the imperial hotel , the rooms we had been given was great and had just been decorated , the balcony overlooked the swimming pool and the mountains . the staff were very friendly and very much a family business , with all members taking their turn . the breakfast left a lot to be desired with the only choice being stale cereal and a selection of very thin dryed up salami boiled eggs , chopped salad, cheese, with stale cobs , the breakfast cake was very stale too ,we only saw weak coffee and childrens orange juice. the hotel itself was very good for the beach and the harbour, the maids did a satisfactory job but i cleaned mine myself , the hotel is not for those who wish to sleep at night as on average we only got about 2 to 3 hours a night . on the back of the room doors there was a list of do:s and donts like dont make a noise after 11 o clock at night , someone must tell the staff that as the bar was kept open till the last person left sometimes up to 3 in the morning , the music and shouting was avery loud and kept us awake , i wouldnt recommend this hotel for families with children .More

Value for money
Stayed here in July 2013 the room was clean and new but as with most hotels no electrical socket under the mirror and the only noise my wife and I heard was a early return one morning of some guests plus in the morning the dreaded motorbike, towel like sandpaper as they must dry them in the sun,the people who work there make you feel very welcome and at ease and every where is kept very clean and this hotel is worth looking at and the beach is easy to get to as we went on the free sunbeds at the old river taverna,it has waiter service if you bye a meal or a drink,it is very friendly there and don't forget to ask to see the mall tortoise.did not have the breakfast as we don't like ours early.More
