Great hotel

Stayed two weeks in August. Will definitely be returning. Our room was cleaned every day except Sunday. Pool is large for the size of the hotel and sunbeds were always available no matter what time you went down to the pool. Sunbed mattresses were available for a euro. Costas and Billy who run the hotel were always friendly, very welcoming and on hand if you needed anything. Safety deposit box reasonably priced at 10 euros for a week, or 15 for two weeks. Air conditioning 45 euros for a week. Breakfast was toast, jam, honey, nutella, melon, ham, cheese, yoghurt, cornflakes or museli, cake, tea and coffee and fruit juice. It was constantly replenished and you could have as much as you wanted. The hotel is ideally based, just a 5-10 min walk to the harbour with plenty of restaurants and shops on the way. Our return flight wasn't until the evening so we booked a late check out so we could keep our room till 7pm. Its best to book it direct with the hotel and not through Thomsons, the hotel charge 25 euros but another guest told us they paid £35 booking it through Thomsons. Added bonus is the hotel is adults only. Free wifi in the lounge/bar area. Best restaurants in our opinion were La Strega, Pantheon and Mummy's. Boomerang done a nice fillet steak and very reasonably priced at 14 euros. Will definitely be returning.More

Lovely family run hotel close to Kos Town.

Stayed for a week with my husband in August. Hotel rooms are clean, basic but have a fridge and unbelievably comfortable beds, we also had a lovely pool view from our balcony. The family who run the hotel were friendly and never seemed to stop with somebody always being available. Pool area nice and quite big, sunbed mattresses are €1 a day which we didn't mind as they have to make money some how. Breakfast was typical continental which was more than adequate for us (gorgeous yoghurt and honey)! The Greek bbq night is a must, delicious home cooked food and traditional dancing at a very reasonable price of €14 each. Location is ideal, about a 5-10min stroll to Kos Town harbour down a street with a variety of restaurants that are cheaper (and nicer) than in town. Try Christina's for friendly home cooked Greek cuisine. Only gripe about holiday was that people put towels on sunbeds with parasols, often they didn't arrive until after lunch meaning other guests had to do without a parasol -maybe introduce a rule where if you are not poolside for more than 30mins your towels are removed?More

A little cracker

I have visited this little hotel on many occasions and still lives up to expectations . The rooms are basis but all the bottom floor rooms have been modernised to a high standard. The hotel is a family run business who work very hard. Billy and costas run the bar area and will always make you feel welcome . The pool area is nice and is 1 euro for a mattress.the pool bar is nice poolside snacks and good prices . The hotel is a nice stroll from the many bars that are there the sunset being my favourite . I visit this hotel every year and always know people what return every year and have a great laugh with them . This hotel is clean and tidy with a great atmosphere that is why i return More

Disappointing Hotel

We have done small and friendly before elsewhere and had seen the good reviews for this Hotel so were very disappointed with reality.... The Hotel was in a nice quiet spot within easy walking distance of the town and beach and it did have a nice pool, though mattress for the sunned was extra. The free wi-fi in the bar area was the best bit about the hotel! The rooms were very basic, it looked as if all the furniture was handmade about 30 years ago and now nothing quite fitted. To only have one electrical socket in the room is ridiculous in this day and age and the bathrooms were a joke. They were definitely from the 70's and had not been touched since. The showers did have hot water at all times but were very small with shower curtains that did not fit and so bathroom always wet. There was almost no room to hang towels and no shelving for wash things. We had to move rooms half way through the week as we had a room over the bar which remained very noisy until 2 am most mornings. It meant the the small sliding door leading to the balcony, needed to be shut if there was any chance of going to sleep earlier than that. This then made the room unbearably hot as there was not even a ceiling fan installed. We knew air-con was extra but thought 45 euro's a week was expensive for a few hours a day. We had to speak to the Thomson rep to get moved as the owner just said the hotel was full. The bathroom in the second room was even worse in that it was impossible to shut the door and sit on the toilet. You could sit on the loo, shower your feet and brush your teeth in the sink all at the same time. With a little renovation the bathroom could be turned into wet rooms with hanging space for towels and a decent shelf. The breakfast was also very basic: one felt they were doing the minimum they could get away with. There was coloured water instead of juice, which I overheard most people commenting on, just about quaffable tea and coffee, old bread which had to be toasted with plastic cheese or ham. The best part was Greek yoghurt and honey! The hotel was okay if you wanted to lie by the pool all day and then spend the evening in the bar watching Sky sport. We have stayed in lots of different types of accommodation in many different parts of the world and this one definitely did not live up to the hype and reviews, certainly would not recommend until some renovations were done on the rooms and breakfast improved! A shame as there is a lot of potential for a really good little hotel. The staff were friendly which obviously encourages some people to come back year after year, but we felt the week was spoiled by the very basic nature of the accommodation.More

Great small hotel

Stayed here for two weeks in August. Our room was extremely clean and was kept this way throughout our stay. Had a lovely private balcony over looking the pool and garden. The pool itself is a great size and we spent many days relaxing poolside, enjoying the music and atmosphere. It is family run and this adds to the atmosphere of the hotel as everyone is made to feel very welcome. The bar is reasonable prices and show all the premier league football matches. About a 10 minute walk into the main town which is great as the hotel is located in a very quite area, but has a supermarket and bike hire only just down the road.More
