Very Relaxing, Friendly & fun

I have just returned from Hotel Bahamas for another year and all I can say is thank you. If you are looking for quiet calm clean friendly family run hotel then this is for you. I have been to the island many times and always find myself drawn to this hotel. It is close to the harbour and many great beaches with wonderful restaurants close by. There is a fully stocked bar on site where you can try local beer or one of Costas & Billies amazing Cocktails Thank you for an amazing holiday see you soonMore

We love this hotel beKos

Just returned from a fabulous two week stay, our second time in the last two years with more visits to come. Welcomed back by all the family, Sula, George, Costas and Billy. Everything was spot on, a refurbished room for us this time which was very good, plenty of wardrobe and draw space and a very powerful shower. The air conditioning at this time of year was a must and worked very efficiently. Breakfast typical Greek style and adequate for the start of the day, better than two years ago in our view, hard boiled eggs and melon added since then. Suited us as we always looked forward to Sula's excellent lunches at the pool bar. Drinks in the hotel bar in an evening was so relaxed and friendly aided by the excellent service provided by Roxy. The pool and grounds are so well maintained and are far bigger than you usually get at Small and Friendly Hotels. Went to the BBQ evening which was great fun and also the food was very well prepared, massive well cooked chops, delicious. As so many mention, the previous situation in Kos has devastated the hotel, restaurant and retail businesses due to the media coverage at the time but no media now mentions that there is not a problem in Kos, it is as it was two years ago and before, beautiful Kos with great hotels and restaurants who deserve to be back to how it was, hotels and restaurants full of tourists. Talking of restaurants, we ate always the hotel side of the harbour, didn't venture far for our evening meal but I highly recommend, Broadway, Caravan, La Strega and Sunset, all different in their own way but all serve excellent food. Thanks to the Bahamas family for making our holiday very special once again. Until next time.More

Best hotel in kos

Just returned from our 4th trip to this hotel. It's family run and extremely friendly, nothing is too much trouble and the hotel has an excellent reputation with the local people we've spoken with too. Costas, Billy and their family put a lot of hard work into making your holiday enjoyable and the amount of return customers tells you all you need to know about the atmosphere they create here. It's close enough to town to make it easy to walk to (literally a couple of streets away) but situated in a quiet road so there's no disturbance from traffic or tourists at night. The pool is large and warm, and mumma runs the poolside snack bar serving hot Greek and English food. The full English is fab! The rooms are spotless, and sheets and towels are changed regularly. It's not a noisy hotel at night unlike some we've stayed in and you'll get a great nights sleep. The hotel is staffed 24hrs by either Costas or Billy so it really has the personal touch of a home from home. If you're looking for a hotel with great service, good location and plenty of space by the pool this is the one for you. If you want a great restaurant with proper Greek food we recommend mummy's cooking a short walk away. Never had a bad meal there and the restaurant is often full when others stand empty. The prices are very reasonable too. You can also hire a buggy, car, or scooter from the top of the road at reasonable prices and the nearest Shop is only around the corner as is a good size supermarket. If you take the 3 islands tour we recommend a boat you'll find in the harbour called the archangelo Michael. Fantastic crew, and they never overcrowd the boat giving you plenty of space to really enjoy the cruise with a snorkel/swim stop at a beautiful private beach and probably also see the Dolphins. The captain is also an excellent cook and you definitely won't go hungry! More

EnglandBanker,

Excellent value for money!

Just got back from Kos Town and loved the place, stayed at the Bahamas Hotel which is an adults only hotel, situated about a 10 minute stroll to the beach and same to the town centre. It's a 2 star hotel basic, but comfortable and immaculately clean. Costos (sorry about the spelling)and Billy were great hosts. It's a nice little hotel with only 30 rooms which makes it very intimate and we liked the fact that all their family and staff made a point of getting to know us and it was great socially with other guests. Pool was a nice size and easily accessible and it was a great sun trap around the pool area. No problems getting beds as well. 2 bars, 1 by the pool and one indoors. Rooms are an adequate size with treble wardrobe and dresser and drawers, fridge. bathroom with shower and all have balcony. Best compliment I can give the hotel was that probably 80% of the guests were returnees and that says it all really! I genuinely enjoyed Kos town and its people and look forward to visiting again and you wouldn't go wrong staying at the Bahamas hotel!More
