This small hotel has a great pool scene and puts on a mean barbecue night. Plus it’s very near the beach.
This family-run place has a 2013 Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor. It comes with a good-sized pool and a bar that does snacks during the day. And there are barbecue and quiz nights, too.
The nearest beach is less than 2 minutes away on foot, and you’ll find shops and bars just outside the front door. Plus, the centre of Kos Town is only a 20-minute stroll along the seafront.

Alice Springs is the best
I can't praise the Alice Springs hotel enough this family run hotel is second to none. What a fabulous holiday made special by Elias Barbara and amazing staff nothing is to much trouble for them to make your holiday special. The hotel is spotlessly clean with a lovely pool area great food and the Greek night and barbecue are definitely not to be missed . It was my first time in Kos but won't be my last as long as I can stay at Alice Springs. I don't think you would get a better welcome with such friendly caring people anywhere. You could holiday alone and would soon be made to feel like part of the family . My friends and myself can't wait to return.More
Cannot wait to return!!
Well.... Alice Springs is the number 1 hotel on Tripadvisor in Kos for a reason!! My mum and I stayed here for 2 weeks completely by accident and I am so pleased that we did. We were originally at a different apartment complex not too far from Alice Springs but it was quite frankly, awful. We arranged with Thomson to move over and it was the best thing we ever did. We were met at the entrance by Elias and George who immediately took our luggage and showed us 3 different rooms to look at to see which one suited us best, that was a lovely touch as he knew we had a bad first day! The rooms were all wonderful and we had a 1 bedroom apartment, it was spacious, spotless and mum had plenty of room in the main living area where she utilised the sofa bed. My bedroom was large and also opened up onto the spacious patio area which was lovely for a breeze when we got back from the pool in the afternoon. The pool area is lovely, peaceful, plenty of beds and with daily entertainment by the cheeky Elias winding people up with leaves whilst they were sleeping, it made for a really beautiful relaxing day chilling out by the pool. The lovely Rosie kept the area free from any cups/glasses etc and always had a smile on her face, plus she makes a cracking toastie! The location is faultless, the beach is literally a 2 minute walk, as is the huge supermarket and Kos town is about a 30 minute slow walk (taking in to account the stops at all the shops on the way!) it's a really pleasant and you can walk via the beach road also. The Greek night was amazing, we had so much fun and the dancers were great, we did it twice whilst we were there as well as the BBQ night where George cooked up a storm! Maria makes the absolute best cheesecake and brownies! They're a must so don't miss out on the dessert! The food in general was lovely, home made Moussakka and Pasticio by Barbara was to die for and was all brilliantly priced. My mum had injured herself early on in the holiday and Elias personally drove her to the pharmacy to help her get some pain killers which was lovely. She had torn ligaments in her knee and it got worse as the second week progressed, Elias was an absolute star and I cannot thank him enough for his help when I needed to get her to a hospital late in the evening. He didn't hesitate to ring our rep for me and organise the whole thing, we were picked up and Elias gave me his number to ring if me or mum needed to get home or if we needed him for anything - such a comfort knowing he was there on the end of the phone, such a star. I cannot fault anything at all to be honest, the bed was a tiny bit too hard for me but being 5 and a half months pregnant, that could have just been me! Barbara, Maria, Elias, Rosie, Elizabeth and George were all wonderful and we loved spending time with all of you; wonderful company. Elias.... You are a brilliant host, you made us laugh until we were red in the face and I really can't thank you enough for everything you did - from delivering food to our room to looking out for mum when I went to meet friends one night, you are a true gent. I will be back next year with Tom and the baby and mum will be out in September! It's no wonder people return for years, we actually met a couple that had been going there for over 20 years! Brilliant. Thank you all again, you were all beautiful Love Jodie & GinaMore
I visited this hotel last week as a solo female traveller and cannot thank Ellias, Barbera and Elizabeth for making me feel safe and very welcome. This is a little star of a hotel and will return. Janice, Glasgow, Scotland.More
"Amazing holiday once again"
Just returned once again from an awesome holiday in "Alice Springs Kos", this is five times I have holidayed at this fabulous hotel and will continue to do so for many years to come. Elias, Maria, Barbara and all the staff make your holiday so enjoyable that you wouldn't want to go anywhere else. When I holiday in Kos I book independently through Elias rather than through a holiday company, I prefer to do this and it is done easily by down loading the Alice Springs App to your phone or Ipad. You can contact Elias by personal e-mail or via the app, Elias is always happy to help in any way he can. I will certainly be returning next year it cannot come quick enough. I have met and made some beautiful friends here and we will continue to meet at "Alice Springs" on this beautiful island.More
A lovely family run Hotel just outside of Kos Town that give excellent Value for money
There is not much I can say about this Hotel that has not already been said. Once you are on your coach you will stop off at various Hotels It will be Luxury Hotel and Spa, Such a Holiday Village, 4 star this and five star that, and then you will get to the small Alice Springs Hotel, which is nothing special to look at, not in the best location and does not have a lot of staff to help you inside. So how does this Hotel get such a high rating. It starts when you are met by the owner who is such a nice man. You will probably use the reception once just to book in and that’s it. If you need anything or there is a problem you just go to the poolside bar to sort things. This is the centre of everything at this Hotel. It is a small family owned and run Hotel. The owners are very proud of it and just want you to enjoy your Holiday. It’s a relaxing type of hotel which I say is suitable for more mature people. I would also say it is suitable for families with children upto 3 years of age. We went as a group of 4 adults and a 6 month old and had an apartment with 2 bedrooms, large living area, Bathroom with a shower and bath and a basic kitchen with a microwave and various utensils. It was spotless , cleaned regularly with numerous towels which are replaced as and when. A good Hotel for anyone with mobility issues as there are rooms which go directly onto the poolside. During our stay there which was a week’s self catering, we had no issues and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Alice Springs. There are bar snacks which are decent and well priced as are the alcoholic and soft drinks. There is talk of the Hotel going B&B or half board as well in the future. Entertainment is low key with a Greek night and a BBQ night which good value. Booked through Thomsons for a week middle to end of may, as I said 4 adiults, and 1 infant and paid £1,026. An absolute bargain for that money. Full credit to Thomsons on that front. This Hotel has plenty of guests who return year after year, some 2-3 times a year. Having been there I can understand why. Go and enjoy.More
