Alice Springs Hotel and Apartments

This small hotel has a great pool scene and puts on a mean barbecue night*. Plus it’s very near the beach.

This family-run place has a 2013 Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor. It comes with a good-sized pool and a bar* that does snacks during the day. And there are barbecue* and quiz nights, too.

The nearest beach is less than 2 minutes away on foot, and you’ll find shops and bars just outside the front door. Plus, the centre of Kos Town is only a 20-minute stroll along the seafront.

Great Trip

Just back from a week at the Alice Springs with my daughter. All the reviews here are true, we had a lovely time, sun shone every day, Elias, George and Barbara make you feel so welcome, such a friendly atmosphere, hotel and rooms are clean, nice pool and garden area, very close to a lovely, if stony beach and 20 mins stroll into Kos town. If your looking for a small friendly place to stay, VFM, where your treated as a person and not a room number, here is a fantastic placeMore

Small and very friendly, wonderful people and hotel

We have just returned after two weeks at the Alice Springs. After reading all the positive reviews about the hotel we had high expectations! We were not disappointed. This hotel is honestly the friendliest place we have ever stayed at; we have travelled a lot and are very fussy! The family that run this hotel are such kind and welcoming people, within 24 hours of being there they remembered us all by first name, nothing we asked for was too much trouble they just wanted us to have a good and relaxing holiday. Rooms have been well thought out with little touches like plently of coat hangers in the wardrobe and pegs and a clothes airer on the balcony. The kitchenette was fully equipt with all necessary utensils and had a hob, toaster, kettle, microwave and good sized fridge with freezer section. Large, cheap supermarket literally over the road from the hotel such a bonus as we went there once or twice every day!! Outside area/pool there were always sunbeds available (we went in peak season) no need to set an alarm to get up early to reserve a bed! BBQ and lamb night really worth staying in for but lots of restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. The hotel is five minutes walk from the beach which is quite stoney so aqua shoes might be advisable (for sale cheaply in local supermarket). Also the sunbeds are quite closely packed together so we walked for a further 10 minutes to find a quieter section of beach. Most of the sunbeds there are free if you buy a drink from the beach bars. Kos Town is beautiful and about 20-30 min walk, well worth a trip to the castle and walk around the harbour area. We booked a couple of excursions with a local tour operator (3 island boat trip and sunset view from village of Zia) we paid a quarter of the price that Thomson charge for exactly the same trips, don't be fooled by the Thomson scaremongering that the tour operators aren't insured because they are. Overall a truely wonderful and memorable holiday and we hope to go back to see George, Barbara and Elias again, thank you all for making us so welcome and comfortable. We would most definitely highly recommend a holiday here.More

Wonderful Holiday - Again!

Thank you once again for a wonderful holiday. We were lucky enough to go for 3 weeks this year. The hotel is spotless. The cleaners are friendly and work extremely hard. Ellie in the kitchen makes delicious meals too. Thank you especially to George, Barbara and Elias for looking after us year after year. Would highly recommend this hotel. See you again next year!More

Fabulous holiday for all!

Can't praise the hotel, owners and staff enough. A big 'thank you' to George, Barbara, Elias and Maria for looking after us so well - we felt as though we were staying with friends. The hotel is in a fabulous position; just a 15 minute walk into Kos town, excellent for our teenagers, and a 1 minute walk to the beach. Plenty of good restaurants nearby and the steak night at Alice Springs is not to be missed. A truly wonderful holiday enjoyed by us all.More

'Another great holiday'

Arrived at the Alice Springs for the second time, another fantastic two weeks. Room great and cleaned every day, outside area and pool constantly cleaned. Special thanks to the family who run the hotel, Elias, Maria, Barbara and |George for making us so welcome and always on hand. The Barbie and lamb nights are a must. All the staff at this hotel work really hard to make sure anyone who goes to stay at the Alice Springs have a fantastic time. I would highly recommend this hotel to all.More
