Alice Springs Hotel and Apartments

This small hotel has a great pool scene and puts on a mean barbecue night. Plus it’s very near the beach.

This family-run place has a 2013 Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor. It comes with a good-sized pool and a bar that does snacks during the day. And there are barbecue and quiz nights, too.

The nearest beach is less than 2 minutes away on foot, and you’ll find shops and bars just outside the front door. Plus, the centre of Kos Town is only a 20-minute stroll along the seafront.

Excellent Greek family hotel.

From the moment we arrived, Elias Welcomed us, even though it was an ungodly hour. His family and small group of staff make an excellent team. The location of the hotel suited us and we were able to visit the local Greek tavernas which we enjoyed. There's a great beach down the road and cycle hire is cheap as chips. Back to the hotel the Greek night was good fun and I'm still getting over the T-Bone steak which i ordered on steak night. I never waited once to order food and drink at the bar and the house keepers cleaned out rooms daily. All in all a fab week.More

Lovely holiday

Recently stayed at the Alice springs, the apartment was better than we had anticipated, very clean, fantastic hot powerful shower, large balcony. The owner was very welcoming, I had requested a ground floor room which I was given on arrival. Also we were able to get a late checkout as requested. The pool area was tidy, plenty of sun beds. The bar was ok, reasonably priced, we had one meal at the bar which was nice. The location is very good, just far enough out of the town, we enjoyed walking into town of an evening along the beach. We would go down to the quick corner cafe and use the sun beds, which are free with a very friendly waiter. We found plenty of nice places to eat in the town, the Greek menus were very reasonable and tasty. I would go back to Kos, it's a shame all the negative press from last year is still having such an effect on tourism, don't let it put you off going. Big tip, if you are going self catering, try and take as much with you as you can as the mini markets are very expensive compared to home. More

Alice Springs June 2016

Back again third year and already booked end of May next year, Where do I start Elias top notch as usual always on hand to provide advice about the island, the breakfast at the hotel are great and they keep you going all day, the front of the hotel has had a face lift and looks quite chic Elias takes all the credit for the design but I am sure Maria will have had some input. The bar is the centre of attention in the evening as people drift back from there evening meals, we always popped in for a swift night cap but it normally meant a hangover the next day, we met some great people and had some good fun, I would like to thank Mike and Jane plus Les and Tracy for helping to make this such a great holiday, all in all a cracking holiday. The only negative is the effect the sensationalising of the migrant problem last year and the impact that is being felt this summer, so I can confirm that this was not a problem last year and not an issue this year.More

Stuart K,

Great place

Stayed at Alice springs with my husband and teenage daughter. Elias, his family and staff were very welcoming and friendly. We stayed in an apartment which was big and spacious but old and dated and in need of a refurb. Food at the pool bar was reasonably priced and very nice. Bbq night and Greek night were very good. Plenty of sun beds free by the pool and in the grassed area. Walked into kos town quite a bit. Lots of shops bars and restaurants. Avoid El Paso the Mexican restaurant, tasteless over priced food. Blue Phoenix restaurant at the beach was really nice. You can hire sun beds here from restaurant or Joanna for 3.50 a day. Joanna will get you drinks. There are places further along where beds are free but beach is a lot more busy in these areas. Big supermarket just down the road. Sunset taverna also very nice for food. Hired a car through rep 72 euros. Went to the thermal springs, asklepion the worlds first hospital, zia a lovely village in the mountains, plaka where there are wild peacocks and paradise (bubble) beach a lovely shallow sandy beach. All worth a visit. Had a lovely holiday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Alice springs and kos.More
