Alice Springs Hotel and Apartments

This small hotel has a great pool scene and puts on a mean barbecue night. Plus it’s very near the beach.

This family-run place has a 2013 Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor. It comes with a good-sized pool and a bar that does snacks during the day. And there are barbecue and quiz nights, too.

The nearest beach is less than 2 minutes away on foot, and you’ll find shops and bars just outside the front door. Plus, the centre of Kos Town is only a 20-minute stroll along the seafront.

Great spot

I can see why so many reviewers report favourably about this cheap and cheerful hotel. It offers everything a traveller needs. Elias and Maria look are very friendly and helpful, the location is great , a short walk to beach ,great restaurants, food supermarket and the harbour. Hire a bike or scooter up the road to let you take full advantage of everything the island of Kos has to offer.More

Just back from Alice springs hotel in kos. We were met off the coach by Elias the manager, who was easily the best hotel manager we have had in 16 years of family holidays. Very friendly, always available and great with the banter. He remembers everyone's name, thou he seemed to forget mine second week cos he kept calling me 'lightweight'. Great small family hotel, loved it. Highly recommended. Mark, sue and jack, Portsmouth. More

Mark S,

fantastic holiday

Fantastic holiday, lovely looking hotel ,with great food and special food nights, beautiful gardens and pool area. Elias and Maria were great hosts and catered for all our needs. It's like visiting old friends! Prior to our holiday we were bombarded by immigrant and financial problems in the press. which were completely exaggerated and untrue. It was our third visit and we have already booked for next year! We would recommend Alice Springs hotel to everyone!!More

Great Holiday

Prior to our holiday all wee saw in the news was negative stuff about Greek finances and the Kos migrant problem. Well in our opinion their isn't a problem, except too many tourists have listened to the scaremongering and decided to holiday elsewhere. We had no problems at all. We took cash as advised and didn't get mugged outside the airport as mentioned in the media. We didn't see anybody remotely threatening or intimidating. Food and drink was plentiful with no shortages at all. We even paid by credit card in a restaurant on one occasion. We saw some migrants every day but they kept themselves to themselves and didn't cause us any problems. In fact we donated some toiletries and old towels at the end of our holiday. Alice Springs is a great place to stay and Elias, Maria and the team do a fantastic job. You are greeted on arrival, waved off when you leave and nothing is too much trouble in between. Several of the families and couples we met were on return visits and it's obvious why. The rooms are basic and equipped with a fridge, electric hob, electric kettle. Air conditioning and a Safe is provided at extra cost. We thought the air conditioning was essential but expensive at 7 Euros per day. The beds were comfortable even the under sofa bed used by my adult son. The rooms were cleaned very daily to a good standard. The pool area was clean and tidy with a small pool for little ones. We never experienced sunbed wars by the pool as their were plenty to go around. Toilets and showers are provided, useful on your last day if leaving late. Although you can keep your room on at an extra charge; we didn't. Food and drink were available from early morning to late at night. A good range of drinks was available at the bar and the prices were on par with other bars and restaurants. The food was really good especially the lamb and barbecue nights. The hotel is genuinely less than 2 minutes to the beach and 1 minute to two great restaurants; Efkilipty and Angelinas, as well as a supermarket. The walk into Kos town is just 10 to 15 minutes with more good restaurants, bars and shops. Alice Springs deserves its No 1 spot on Trip Advisor and we would definitely return in the future.More

Just returned from Alice springs and once again it was a fantastic holiday all round,Elias and Maria work hard to make sure everyone has a great holiday as does the rest of the team the cleaners Helena and dina,George the handymen elli the cook and dinos the night staff also little Barbara too who was learning me and the husband some Greek words,as usual everything ran perfectly and the weather was amazing which was an added bonus!!,we had no problems using the ATM machines and there was no difference in prices that we noticed in the supermarkets and restaurants either, there was immigrants that walk around going about their daily business keeping to themselves not once did they bother you or make me feel uncomfortable, they also do not sit around the restaurants watching you eat which has been reported in the press at the end of the day they are people who are just trying to better the lives of their families they haven't asked to be in that situation, from start to finish our holiday was fantastic!!,try the lamb and BBQ nights they are fab the rest of the poolside menu is lovely too and reasonably priced,I can't wait to go back already and I've only been back 12 hours and booked already.More
