Just come back from our 1st stay in Alice Springs (October 2015) we booked this hotel on the strength of reviews on trip advisor. Many of the holiday makers go back year after year, the owners are very welcoming, polite and helpful, a small family run hotel, Husband & wife and their parents.
We had room only, which to our surprise had an hairdryer, kettle & fridge! No TV but some of the room only did so you may need to request one. Clean bedding & towels on your demand, it's a case of leave them on the floor and you get clean ones, no problem.
Most of the regulars staying in the hotel appeared to be northerners for some reason? sport was on the bar tv's nearly always and bar drinks are pretty expensive, â¬5 per short & mixer, â¬5 per pint, although this is same all over Kos. I would suggest eating out at 'mummy's cooking' excellent traditional Greek food.
The hotel is 2 mins from the beach, sun beds â¬7 for 2 bed & umbrella although if you walk along the beach and eat in one of the restaurants the sun beds are free! It's approx 25 mins walk into kos town from the hotel, we hired bicycles â¬15 for the week, worth every penny, it took 5 mins into kos town every night where there are plenty of shops, restaurants & a pretty harbour, it's a beautiful place.
Migrants were camping near the harbour, you wouldn't even know unless you walk around the castle & they don't bother you at all, it's a shame it's ruined the kos tourism this year.
We happened to book the hotel on the last week of trade, this was a bonus as it was very quiet, except for 4 screaming young kids running around like lunatics on our last day, apart from this I believe the week would have being very peaceful, enjoyable and relaxing.
Oh yes, wifi......almost none existent in the hotel but this is on the owners to do list!More

We returned on 29 Sept from our third vist (4th to Kos) .Thank you Elias, Maria, Ellie and all for a great holiday. Kos was as good as ever. Yes there are migrants but they caused us NO problems at all! We felt safe and would be happy to take our grandchildren on our next visit!

Very walm welcome from all at Alice Springs
Thank you to make our first stay at Alice Springs Hotel a warm and welcoming one. Elias. Maria and all the staff. The team here work very hard to make your stay comfortable. The room we stayed in (202) was a typical Greek family hotel room (updates are planned). When we choose our hotels we are not looking for plush rooms with all the mod-cons we want a clean functional room, as the plan is to sleep and change in. These rooms fit our needs perfectly. We had a room only option and in our room we had a fridge, kettle, cup ans saucers. The showers are the most powerful I've experienced in Greece. The hotel, area and garden are kept immaculate. We only use any hotel as a base for exploring the area but still was warmly welcomed when ever we came back, with Elias and Maria all ways there with good information to help you explore Kos. Migrants! Not a problem. They gather in a very small part of the harbour. There are lots of descent family run restaurants within a easy walk. Enjoy. Alice Springs enjoy KosMore
The room we had was a big let down 204. The bed was like concrete was aching all over and also â¬100 out of pocket as soon as we got in the room fifty euro for the air-conditioning 20 euro for the safe 30 euro for a clapped out fridge There were no where to put anything if you sat on the loo your head and feet were in side the shower and if you had a shower it flooded the room
It was a 5 min walk to the coble beach and a half a hour walk to the the town very dissatisfied never go back to this hotel kos was OK a bit to quite for meMore
