This little hotel comes with a sea-facing pool and a secluded cove just across the way.
Billy, Barbara and the family’s Labrador, Disney, make welcoming hosts at this little hotel. Sea-facing rooms look onto the pool, where the bar serves up meals and snacks and – at night – is a great place for cocktails.
One of the reasons guests keep coming back is the cove just across the road. It’s a little rocky number, secluded and quiet, where you can leave your towel while you pop back to the hotel for lunch.
Just come back from another fantastic stay at the Pelagos Bay Hotel. I have lost count now the number of times we have stayrd here it has become our second home. We are like friends not guests they always make you feel very much at home and welcome. The hotel and grounds are kept spotless. Beautiful views from the balconies. Each time we have stayed there has always been guests that we have met before. This certainly won't be our last time visiting we will definitely be returning soon.More

Hotel was really lovely. Rooms exceptionally clean. Hotel owners Barbara and Billy and all the staff make you feel very welcome from when you get dropped off outside the hotel ;before you even step foot in. They come to greet you and take your luggage and on leaving you get a send off. Nice personal touch.
The beach/cove across the road is really lovely for a spot of sunbathing and very quiet if you want to sit and read. Water was so clear.
15minute stroll takes you down to Skala with little Tavernas and hotels along the route. We ate out every night and every meal we had was of a high standard and similar price. â¬5 taxi to come home. In the daytime we tended to walk down as far as the little supermarket in the day time and use that part of the beach and then pick up provisions on the way back up to the hotel.
We would revisit this hotel again and recommend it but if walking is an issue it is quite a walk down to skala. I would say you would be best to hire a car. Many people we spoke to at the hotel had returned year after year. Congratulations to all the staff on making this hotel as lovely as it is.
The only negative thing I would say about the hotel is the breakfast. Only tea, coffee, toast and jam is provided. For the money we paid, over £ 700.00 each I would have expected at least a continental option, boiled eggs, cheese, ham, croissants. Other than that, the holiday was a very enjoyable and memorable one.More

Friendly clean hotel
We stayed here end of season, weather was OK and all we can say is that if you want a nice clean but basic hotel then this is the place for you. The rooms are spotless and even at the end of the holiday season the hotel still looked in great condition. The bathrooms are a little tired but were of a good standard for Greece. We stayed in room 26 at the top of the stairs, not good if you get breathless climbing as there are quite a few flights! But the view was excellent, but so it is from most rooms. You can take your own drinks into the rooms as they have a fridge and kettle. The only criticism is that the breakfast is a little basic with just toast and jams with tea and coffee but the tea was PG tips so tasted good, the coffee was not to my taste. You can buy an English breakfast if you wish for about £5 but I didnt bother and looked on it as a way of cutting down on calories! Wifi only seems to work best near the main building but is free. They have a PC you can use for a small charge. The beach opposite is only small and not sandy so we didnt use it. Overall a good place to stay and the hosts are very friendly.More

lovely place to stay, although a little to far to walk at night, second week used taxi's 5euros, drivers very good & helpful. Well presented, spotless clean, well looked after by all the staff. Breakfast not good some variation would be good, didn't bother getting up, some mornings. Pool area well kept sunbeds always available, other quests very friendly some have visited for many years. Anastasia in bar area by day a great asset always smiling, helpful and approachable. Yannis in bar by night had a great atmosphere, RESPECT. Prices slightly more than in town for food and drink
Kefalonia is a beautiful island, Skala is very traditional only a few bars mostly restaurant's and tavern's every meal was lovely plenty to choose from and reasonably price. Beaches around the area were clean and either sand or pebbles which ever you want.
Will definitely visit Skala again but will stay nearer town next time More

This was our first visit to Skala and The Pelagos Bay and as we generally don't like to be in a town, the location was just as we had expected.
On arrival we were checked in quickly and one of the staff took our bags to our room.
The room was well decorated and for Greece large, with twin beds that were a bit firm but ok. The fridge was in good working order and we used it well. The aircon was included in the price. The balcony overlooked the pool with a sea view, it was good as the sun went down to sit and have a cold glass of wine or beer. We did not experience any noise from the bar at nights.
The build quality of the complex was to a high standard and the pictures do not do it full justice.
The pool is large and is cleaned daily we used it.
They don't give you a controller for the aircon its pre-set and could do with being a degree or two cooler.
The bed linen and towels were a bit worn and need changing (but I guess its getting to the end of the season)
The breakfast was a complete joke, I know they pre warn you but how they can call it Bed and Breakfast I am not sue. It consisted of very tasteless bread that you could toast (the toasters worked well) small packet jams and honey. (no sign of cereals as some suggested)
The juice was juice drink more like squash and after about 1/2 hour warm and undrinkable. The coffee was ok.
The drinks from the bar were the most expensive we paid for in the whole resort of Skala
The drinks are cheaper at other tavernas and bars
We skipped breakfast and went to Skala to the bakery opposite the church in the square and for 2.5 Euros you could buy very good filled rolls and eat them in.
All Tavernas do full English breakfasts if you want them and looked good.
The supermarket on the road to Skala sells good fruit (good to put in the fridge and eat in the morning) The beer is very cheap 1.25 Euros for a large Mythos and they will take the top off and let you drink it in the seated area under a pagoda overlooking the sea. (well recommended)More
