This little hotel comes with a sea-facing pool and a secluded cove just across the way.
Billy, Barbara and the family’s Labrador, Disney, make welcoming hosts at this little hotel. Sea-facing rooms look onto the pool, where the bar serves up meals and snacks and – at night – is a great place for cocktails.
One of the reasons guests keep coming back is the cove just across the road. It’s a little rocky number, secluded and quiet, where you can leave your towel while you pop back to the hotel for lunch.
The hotel was very clean and staff friendly and helpful, however the description of the type of accommodation and where it is situauted require more detail. I have difficulty with mobility and if we had not been able to hire a car it would have been very diifficult to get about and the whole holiday experience disappointing.. A long walk to the main village of Skala and steep steps to cove opposite. I was very disappointed with the breakfast 14 days of toast does not constitute 'bed and breakfast. It was an expensive holiday for what we paid and for the same money we could have gone all inclusive else where. The bed was very hard and the wooden surround constantly caused problems. My partner ended up sleeping on the single chair/bed. The balconies all had superb sea views but there was no privacy at all and felt pressurised by domestic staff to be out of room by 10am else they were knnocking on the door!! We also had trouble with plumbing and had to 'hide' towels to have enough clean!! On the plus side there were local gems of restaurants/tavernas to be found and 'Old Tmes' next door is superb, also Dreams at Katelonios, but unfortunately not there next season. The sea was the most clean and beautful we have ever swam in and even for that reason alone it is worth visiting Kefalonia, Melisandre Lake is worth visiting too. Make sure you book your car well in advance else you will have trouble like we did and end up paying 80 euros extra.More

a gem in kefalonia
just returned from a very relaxing break at Pelagos Bay. The welcome, after a tiring journey, was extremely warm and friendly and this continued throughout the stay. Rooms were simple but more than adequate and spotlessly clean. This hotel is situated about 2 km from Scala centre but easily accessed by taxi or a leisurely walk. We were encouraged by Barbara to do the walk to Old Scala which was very rewarding although quite strenuous at times. There is a great taverna once you got to the top!! We hope to return again.More

Our first visit to this hotel and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Room was very clean and we had a large balcony. Our friends had a superior room which was on the top floor so although the view was slightly better and they had a bath there were far more steps to climb and we both had hair dryers and fridges in our rooms so very little difference. The breakfast is advertised as continental but is basically a choice of toast or fresh bread with jam, honey etc, anything else is extra. Nevertheless the hotel is very nice and the pool is very clean and tempting. The walk is approximately 35 mins into Skala (but you can get a taxi back for 5 euros!).
There s a very good beach just across the road but you need to take your own umbrella if you need some shade.
Plenty of places to eat along the road to Skala and a supermarket about 20 mins walking distance.
Overall a very nice hotel.More

Just as good, if not better than our visit last year.
This was our second visit to Skala, and although we didn't stay at this Hotel I feel qualified to give this glowing report.
We first visited last year, and used to call in as we returned from our walks in the near-by mountains, so it was that we carried on with this practice this year.
On our arrival, this year, after our first day 'stroll' in the mountain, we were ready for a nice cool drink, but before we could order this we were greeted with a lovely nice 'welcome back' as Anastasia and Katarina, 'mine hosts' behind the lovely bar area greeted us as long lost friends. Lovely to be remembered.
We met up with Barbara and Billy the following day, and likewise we were made very welcome.
These are the special things that make this Hotel such a lovely place.
So it was as our two week holiday took shape, every second day on our return from walking or trips to visit Skala town we'd stop, and enjoy the company of these lovely people. Obviously we enjoyed the well prepared meals on offer as well the first class selection of drinks. Local wines, and Greek Mythos beer, just the ideal beverage after a long hot stroll.
The beautiful, clean, swimming pool, over looked from the bar area was 'on offer' and Bev made use of that, whilst I sampled another Mythos. (It had to be done).
Billy would come back from one of his training cycle rides, (no Mythos for him), as Katarina, Anastasia, and Barbara, (she being English), kept all the guests and 'visitors' entertained.
As I say a lovely family run Hotel, with beautiful people who looked after us as a pleasure, not a chore. (The LARGE BEER joke they played on me was a challenge but I managed it.)
Hopefully we will be back to visit next year, as its one of our favourite places to visit in Skala.

Lovely Friendly Hotel
Really friendly family run hotel in a nice easily accessed setting, a perfect get away location. I arrived with two kids on my own & everyone was welcoming, helpful and very accommodating. The room was simple but spotlessly clean with everything you need for a pool/beach side break. The bar is well run by a lively and entertaining family crew. Simple food is available most of the day and evening so you don't need to leave the hotel if you don't want to, however there are some really good restaurants within a short walk.
Skala and further away Poros are nice places to visit for lunch or an evening meal and if you don't want to drive a not too expensive taxi ride away. The kids had a lovely time, thanks to Billy and all.More
