This little hotel comes with a sea-facing pool and a secluded cove just across the way.
Billy, Barbara and the family’s Labrador, Disney, make welcoming hosts at this little hotel. Sea-facing rooms look onto the pool, where the bar serves up meals and snacks and – at night – is a great place for cocktails.
One of the reasons guests keep coming back is the cove just across the road. It’s a little rocky number, secluded and quiet, where you can leave your towel while you pop back to the hotel for lunch.

Did what it said on the tin
Warm welcome. Well kept estate. Good housekeeping. Friendly staff. Extrovert Yanni in the bar. Spacious rooms. 20 minute walk to town. Shame the tour operator restricted the budget for breakfast. This should be mentioned in the brochures.More
My partner and I stayed her the first week in September, The hotel is a nice size. . not too big, we did not use the pool area preferring to see the island . . . we found the staff to be very friendly. .and despite reading previous reviews that the owners Barbara and Billy were known to be a little frosty if you did not eat or drink at the hotel . . we only had one late drink at the bar on one occasion during our stay and did not encounter this in anyway at all. We were aware what to expect on offer for breakfast as we had read the reviews. . and yes it was a poor choice unless you paid for anything extra hence we did not eat at the hotel. We found the hotel to be really clean and well maintained throughout, I would say that it looked freshly painted this year, the bedrooms are a great size. . nice and airy. .with a sea view, the air conditioning temperature for the time of year that we visited was perfect. .the bathroom I felt to be on the small side, but this is just a minor detail, however the shower is excellent, I would reccomend taking your own hair dryer. The house keeping was very good, I had used the two extra thick blankets provided to make my rather firm mattress more comfortable by lying them underneath my bottom sheet and once the maid had seen this she replaced them with a lovely thick Ikea mattress topper . which made a huge difference to my sleep quality. . I was very impressed with that gesture. . . The location although a good walk from the main hub of Skala a good 20mns depending on your pace did not pose a problem for us . . .we enjoyed the walk back at the end of our evening. . it is in places very dark along the walk back and we needed to utilise the torch setting on our phones to light our way. We did not experience any traffic noise from the road. We hired a car from CRB in town, excellent service and would recommend them. Our favourite restaurant was the Mikelatos family visiting it twice during our stay, the food and service was excellent. .we also ate at Old Times which is just a short walk from the from the hotel.. . but tbh the majority of restaurants are very good. .. We did not use the bay/beach across from the hotel however we did use the beach which is situated next to the Restaurant Nautilus. . .it is to the left of it, with steps leading down . .it is very stony so wet shoes are needed. .we had the beach to ourselves. .. the main beach area further in the town area was also lovely with tavernas close by for a spot of lunch. During our tour of the Island we visited Fiskardo and if you are planning on eating whilst there I would like to recommend the Nicolas Taverna. . it is a short walk around the bay. . you can see it from across the bay as it stands quite high up over looking Fiskardo a large white building with blue shutters.. and once sat up there on the balcony eating a lovely meal the views are stunning. . it is sooo worth a visit just to meet the owner Nicolas, a very friendly funny charismatic gentleman. So if you are looking for a basic small and friendly hotel which is really clean and well maintained I would say that The Pelagos Bay hotel is for you.More
Beautiful Family Run Hotel
From the moment we arrived the welcome was as big as the view. Lovely welcoming fast check in. Our cases were whisked off to our room while the owner, Billy gave us his welcome chat. Our room was lovely, all rooms have sea view, lovely large balcony on which to enjoy the sun rise. Our room and indeed everywhere around the hotel was immaculately clean with some pretty decor. Every single member of staff were efficient, friendly and good fun to be around. Particularly Yanni the resident entertainer (that should read barman, but he is so much more than a barman) brought everyone together in the evenings making for some great company and good fun. We were sad to leave but will return next year for more of the same. We'll done Billy & Barbara you have a great hotel and a fantastic team!More
good basic hotel
Just stayed for two weeks and had a nice relaxing holiday. For the price this is a great little hote,l clean and well maintained with very friendly staff. Plus points. No fighting for a sunbed always one available. The bay across the road is beautiful Rooms clean All rooms face the sea All common areas are well kept Air con very efficient Minus points The walk back from Skala at night is dodgy you need a torch on the unlit sections of the road both to see where you are going and to let the traffic see you. Wi Fi intermittent Quite expensive bar and food compared to Skala. 2.50 Euros for a can of lemon which is 57 cents in the supermarket down the road Never had anything to eat and only a couple of drinks as it was better value in SkalaMore
Chilled out week
Just returned from a weeks chilled holiday at this super little place. Small and friendly which was fine for myself and my husband as we were holidaying and celebrating 24 years of marriage. Beautiful setting as all rooms open out looking towards the sea and pool area, fantastic. Great greeting by Billy the owner, his wife was back in England so we never saw her. The place was super clean, the rooms bigger than normal with a fridge and sink and lovely balconies. Al the staff were welcoming and couldn't do enough for you, all very friendly. Big sized pool with plenty of sunbeds, no rush in a morning to 'bag your bed', always one available and plenty seating area around the pool as well. Drinks and snacks available all day and evening meals if you wanted one. Nice walk into Scala about 20 mins if you wanted to do this on an evening which we did most evenings and then 5 euro taxi back. A few restaurants along with way into Skala all really nice, Can't fault this lovely hotel at all, we really had a good time and will definitely return. Billy also has road bikes to hire which my husband hired for a few days as he is a keen cyclist.More
