Just returned from a week at Andreas the setting is nice unfortunately the studio we stayed were dated the beds seemed like they had come from a youth hostel .We even had a bin liner taped to the door acting as a curtain don't get me wrong they're very clean it's quite the pool is excellent just needs an injection of cash and people would be banging the doors down to stay here. Would go back to skala again beautiful place .More

We stayed at these apartments for the first time this year and I really don't understand why everyone says the proprietor Elisabeth is very nice and welcoming. I think this is only the case if you spend lots of money at the bar and attend the weekly barbeque. The staff write down everything you get from the bar. The prices are hugely inflated, â¬2.50 for a can of local lemonade.
The laminated rules are hilarious and will take ages to read as there are so many of them.
I wouldn't advise taking children here, Elisabeth doesn't like them to play in the pool only swim lengths. No inflatables are allowed but if you are one of her above favourites (that spend lots at the bar) she will throw them a ball to use in the pool. Whilst we were there a child hurt themselves in the pool and she went beserk. She was very rude to the guests concerned and I felt sorry for the Thomson Rep who was there at the time as she was extremely loud, shouting at him trying to tell him how to do his job! We found out later that she even called the doctor to examine the child even though their parent had said they didn't want one!
Don't get me wrong, these apartments are spotlessly clean and have a great view. (There is a very steep hill to climb to get there from the centre of Skala, known as cardiac hill, no good if you have mobility problems or a bad heart!) It is just spoilt by a very rude, aggressive woman who will only speak to you if your face fits.
On our departure day Elisabeth even sent her cleaner down with a phone so she could say goodbye to one of her 'favourite' couples before the transfer coach came. Obviously the rest of us weren't worthy of a goodbye from her!
Skala is a beautiful place and I will definitely return but I would never stay here again.More

Another Fab holiday with Elisabeth at Andreas
We have stayed in Skala five times now. Elisabeth goes out of her way to make our holidays extra special. The accommodation is spacious and immaculately clean, everyone is friendly and helpful. The apartments are well placed, 15 minutes walk from the beach, 10 minutes walk from the resort centre. Peaceful and with stunning views from all sides but just a short walk from bars and tavernas.
We love to stay by the poolside during the day. The pool is kept spotlessly clean and a pleasure to take a dip in. Refreshments are available from the bar area, with meals and snacks freshly made to order, our 14 year old son loves Elisabeth's milk-shakes and her toasted sandwiches, there's something for all tastes including lovely salads. BBQ night is a must, traditional Greek cuisine, hearing about everyone's adventures, and a Mai Tai cocktail or two!
We would like to thank Elisabeth, her family and staff for another lovely holiday and happily recommend Andreas Studios and Apartments to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday. We're looking forward to our next stay with Elisabeth.More

We have just returned from a family holiday in Skala where we stayed at the Andreas Apartments. We had two studios, one for my husband and myself and one for our two sons. Both studios were a good size, well equipped, comfortable and immaculately clean. Our studio had fantastic views of the countryside and the sea (room122) and a good sized balcony which was big enough for all four of us to sit around the table comfortably. Our sons' studio had beautiful mountain views. The swimming pool, and indeed whole complex, is kept immaculately clean and extremely well looked after. There are ample sunbeds, umbreIlas and tables around the pool and I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed sunbathing and swimming on holiday so much. Elisabeth runs the complex brilliantly and she is extremely friendly, pleasant and helpful. Do not be put off visiting these apartments by a few negative reviews about the rules she has in place. They are there to ensure that everyone enjoys their holiday in a safe and peaceful setting. We would definately return to these apartments.More

rules that make a happy holiday
We stayed at the Andreas apartments this year, but before we went we read several reviews that had us a little worried, however, the rules that Elizabeth has for the pool area are,in our opinion, fair and justified. We had a 10 year old with us who understood the rules and was rewarded for playing by them. You have to read into this that it is a small and friendly resort and not a complex where kids roam free to do what they like.most of the people who go there just want to relax, and indeed at the Andreas you can. The rooms where great and the staff where very engaging.Elizabeth was great too,it must be very hard to keep everyone happy and in our opinion she`s doing a fine job.
Down side for us was that when we went out for a meal in the evenings we couldn't relax at the bar on our return.having a child with us meant that we ate relatively early, but the bar at the Andreas only opened at 10.30pm,by that time we were on our balcony, son in bed and winding down.We felt that if the bar was open we would have spent a lot more time there. But that was the only thing,I would recommend it to anyone.More
