Andreas Studios and Apartments

The first thing you’ll notice about this place is the surroundings. Rolling mountains provide a dramatic backdrop, while manicured gardens offer up towering pines and crouching shrubs. Look beyond all the greenery, meanwhile, and you’ll spot the blue waters of the Ionian Sea glimmering in the distance.

With such a peaceful setting, it comes as no surprise the vibe here is as relaxing as it gets. Days are best spent by the large swimming pool. Its surrounding terrace is lined with loungers and umbrellas, and there’s a pool bar at one end which serves up drinks and snacks throughout the day. There’s also a smaller splash pool for the little ones.

As for the studios and apartments, they’re housed in an attractive peach-coloured building that looks out over the pool. Inside, things are typically Greek – think whitewashed walls, tiled floors and traditional wooden furniture. Each one has a balcony or a patio, the majority of which come with sea views, while the apartments also have separate lounge areas.

When it comes to days out, meanwhile, this place is in a really handy spot. Skala’s town centre is less than a ten-minute walk away, and the nearest beach is about the same distance.

Lovely apartments

I've just returned from a week's stay at Andreas Apartments and Studios in Skala. Firstly, our apartment on the first floor was spotlessly clean. We had a balcony to the front with a sea view and a balcony to the back overlooking the mountains. It is on a quiet stretch of road but only five minutes walk from the main high street. The return trip is slightly uphill but not too much of a problem. Elisabeth was very efficient and at the BBQ on Saturday night, she very kindly presented me and my sister with a lovely birthday cake. All in all, I would thoroughly recommend AndreasMore

great 2 weeks

Just got back from 2 weeks at the Andreas Studio & Apartments. The apartment we had was quite spacious and cleaned to a high standard, plenty of cupboards for clothes. Pool was the cleanest I have ever been in and I have been in lots in Greece. Bar was very good but there was not someone there all the time when people were using the pool so you could not always get something to eat mainly because the lady that served behind the bar was sometimes up in the rooms cleaning them. When we arrived there was no one there to show us our room and one of the other people told us that the lady was down in the bar so we had to go and find her and it was not the owner but she showed us to our room. But we would go back there as it has fantastic views of the sea and mountainsMore

Our stay at the Andreas

We have just returned from the Andreas Apartments, it was our first visit and it certainly won't be our last. We had a mountain/sea view top floor studio which was spotless and well equipped. On arrival we were greated by one of the staff who showed us to our room which gave us an instant good feeling about the place. The pool area was first class with ample sunbeds for all and contrary to previous reviews, you can move the sunbeds around to suit yourself. The pool bar had a good selection of food and drink. The owner (Elisabeth) did have her rules for the place but we never found them a problem, they were there to ensure the comfort of all the guests. We found her very friendly and welcoming. One evening whilst we were dining in a nearby resturant, Elisabeth and her husband arrived and very kindly sent us drinks over which we thought was a lovely gesture. The day prior to our departure, Elisabeth gave us a bottle of her very own olive oil which we sampled when we got home and we must say it was delicious (Thank you Elisabeth). We attended Elisabeth's Saturday night BBQ which we both enjoyed. It was a good opportunity to meet all of the other guests who we found very friendly and pleasant. The resort (Skala) had lots of good resturants so we were never stuck for where to eat. We particularly rate the Village Inn and the Aquarius resturants. The Andreas Apartments are on a hill, walking down to the bars and restaurants was easy, but at first walking back at the end of the night was a little challenging but it did get easier after the first few nights. Alternatively, you can get a taxi back at a cost of 5 Euro's. We will definitely be returning to Skala and we will be stopping again at the Andreas Apartments. Stef & HelenMore

Stef O,

This was our third time at the Andreas Studios and we enjoyed it as much, if not more, than our previous visits. The accommodation is immaculate, a tribute to Elisabeth, Fortini and Norri (sp?), who do everything they can to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. It was disappointing that the first BBQ night did not take place (due to the low number of people wanting to attend) but the second was a riot - great food, great company and late-night swimming (hope your mobile recovers, Neil). Got back to Gatwick and wanted to get on a plane straight back!More

Excellent with a capital E

First time at the Andreas studios and it will not be the last. We have stayed in a lot of studios on the Greek islands and this is by far the best, very clean and spacious, ours was a ground floor 1 bedroom apartment, small hob, fridge, kettle and even a toaster. The pool is 5 star and must be one of the best kept in Greece. Pool bar was well stocked and reasonably priced compared to other places we have stayed. BBQ night was good fun, I would recommend going the food is delicious. The owner/host Elisabeth made our holiday even more enjoyable, as I have said this was our first visit she made us feel part of her family and surprised me with a birthday cake on my birthday, then on the night before we left suprised my wife with a cake even though her birthday was a week away. To sum up a well worth a visit, we want to go back now.More
