I would like to start by saying that if you are a couple looking for a relaxing, clean, beautiful place to stay, this is perfect! We were a family and it's quite clear, Elizabeth is not a fan of families. When we arrived we were greeted as you would expect and were made to feel welcome. After popping our bags into our room and getting our very excited 3 year old ready for the pool, we were straight away met with strict rules etc. We were more than happy to follow these rules and as the mother of my child I was happy to enforce them however I felt uncomfortable straight away as Elizabeth started throwing demands at my 3 year old. I am not the sort of parent who sits around and lets my children get on with it. I and my husband are very hands on. I put it down to the fact that she was health and safety conscious and accepted that as it was her place, I couldn't blame her for being a little too involved. We went out in to the town for dinner on the first night and when we headed back to our room (we were a family of 6) we decided to sit quietly on the terrace with my family whilst my children slept (3 and 9 months). We were told off straight away for having my parents on our terrace but to be honest, we saw no other way to socialise with them if we wanted to put our children to bed. The pool bar didn't open until 10pm (closed at 6pm) and we didn't want our children out every night until late. Our rooms were situated at either end of the complex so we couldn't even sit on our terraces next to each other. This complex does not like big families. My 9 month old ended up with a raging fever a few nights into our stay. We couldn't afford the air con for the whole time so asked if we could have it (and pay of course) for a few days to see if it helped settled our baby at night. We were refused air con and told that we would have to pay for the whole stay or nothing. We waited a few more days (and struggled through some very hot, sleepless nights) until our last week! We then asked to pay for a week and she charged us only 20Euros less than for the 2 weeks. We had no choice but to pay this so that all of us could sleep and so that my baby was comfortable. (We did explain the situation to the housekeeper). We were ignored from then on and felt extremely uncomfortable when ever we were at the complex. We couldn't mix with my parents unless it was down by the pool or out of the complex all together. A few more things happened to make us feel extremely uncomfortable and me and my mum ended up in tears. We complained formally to our rep who then sent management to our room. We explained the situation to him and hoped he could help us. The next day, management arrived and explained to us that Elizabeth was issuing us with a final warning and she would make us leave if anything else happened... we were in total shock. Extremely upset with 2 young children to worry about we asked to be put on the next flight home or to be moved to another complex. None of these were options so we knew we had to stay. We spent most days out, away from the complex and used it purely as a place to get our heads down at night. As lovers of Greece and the Greek people / culture, we were totally gutted by this experience. I would HIGHLY recommend for couples who want to relax but would NOT recommend for families or groups.More
ALL SHIP SHAPE AND ELISABETH FASHION!
The Andreas Studios and Apartments (9 studios and 3 apartments), are located, at the top of, and beyond the main uphill Scala High Street, where there are supermarkets and many tavernas. From Andreas it is a 12 minute walk downhill, to the beach, but a slog uphill. (However, there are taxis, for the return journey costing 5 Euros). The Studios and Apartments are in a nice rural location, with spectacular views of the mountains, and the sea. The Studios and Apartments are very well kept, and very clean â all closely supervised by Elisabeth, who is keen that everybody has a pleasant holiday that is not spoilt by the inconsiderate behaviour of others. Elisabeth invites all newcomers for a free drink on the first evening, and organises a BBQ each Saturday evening. This all helps to foster a congenial and friendly atmosphere. Many guests have stayed before. Andreas has a lovely swimming pool, (large considering that there are only 9 studios and 3 apartments). There are plenty of neatly set out sun beds and umbrellas - some of the sun beds being under the shade of olive branches. There is a pool bar, which serves drinks and food. Sun beds are not reserved by towels, so no need to get up at the crack of dawn! My wife and I were really impressed by how Elisabeth looked after the more aged couple, who arrived on the coach with us. A cake was made for the ladies 77th Birthday. The lady and her husband were invited to tea, and taken to a Greek Night in Scala. Elisabeth does all she can to ensure that you have a relaxing holiday. We enjoyed our stay there.More
Just returned from Skala. The Andreas was in a wonderful location set above the resort.Elizabeth takes pride in keeping everything clean and tidy well assisted by her small team. Honestly have nothing to complain about-well how could you surrounded by great countryside looking over an inviting pool. Skala has a number of good places to eat after a day on a wonderful beach. Thank you Elizabeth. Graham and ChristineMore
Having just returned from Skala and the Andreas apartment, I must admit to the area being exceptionally clean and well maintained; however,Elizabeth - the owner - is a force to be reckoned with. She is very moody and opens the pool bar at her own convenience. We arrived to torrential rain, thunder and lightening to be told that she wasn't opening the bar that evening as it was raining, so we had to treck down to the town for some food and drink. There were also long periods of time during each day when the snack/pool bar was open but not manned which meant you couldn't purchase food or drinks. A bbq is organised weekly to which she expects everyone to attend; not a happy lady when you don't! She charges extra for everything that she can, even when you try and support best you can during your stay it is still not enough in her eyes. Everything must be Elizabeth's way!! Not a very obliging owner.More

Beautiful and lovely place. Lovely people and will come back.
We were a family of four and visited from the 16-30th August 2016. Our boys who are six and eight had a great time in the pool and had lots of fun. We had to respect the rules, but this is Elizabeth's home and we understood that. We found the staff to be lovely and very helpful if we needed anything extra. Our rooms were great and were serviced every day except a Monday, where the Housekeeper had a well earned break. The fridge was fine and I didn't notice any problems. The town itself, is a lovely place for children and families and there are so many very good restaurants to choose from. We met some lovely people. Elizabeth is a great cook and we recommend the BBQ on a Saturday. The Andreas Apartments are lovely and the views are amazing. We have been to Skala three times before (without children) and this is without doubt, the nicest place we have stayed in whilst visiting Skala. Would love to return and already planning our next trip. Thanks to Elizabeth and her staff. Claire, Adam, Joel and Jake xxxxMore
