An introduction to Kalou Cottage
Kalou Cottage is in a unique location, one of two houses perched on the cliffside at the end of the naturally formed bay with magnificent views across Lourdas Bay. The wonderful sunsets are worth strolling back from the beach for to appreciate with a chilled glass of wine in hand.
Lourdas Beach is a magnificent long stretch of beach with sand, shingle and pebbles alternating along the shoreline, great for watersports, in particular windsurfing, or just relaxing under a parasol, a good book and plenty of suntan lotion. The area back from the beach has been gradually built on with a sprinkling of accommodation and beachside tavernas but the majority of the land has been retained for the local villagers' allotments which flourish from the continuous stream flooding down from Mount Aenos which towers above it.
The village is spread out from the top of the main road which runs through the south of the island towards Katelios and Skala. It meanders down to the main square which comprises a few kafenions and the inevitable plane tree and carries on down to the breathtaking beach.

A beautiful, high standard villa in a private location with outstanding views over the beach. It is well maintained and kept very clean. There are many tavernas around that offer good food and value, but choose the ones the locals use. Touristy ones... more on this review
