My husband and I visited this hotel for 2 weeks in september we had a very relaxing stay. The staff at the hotel are very nice and always had a smile for us, our room was nice and was cleaned daily, food in buffet resturant was lovely we always found plenty to eat. Hovever we don't think this should be classed as a platinum hotel. We have stayed in a couple of other platinum hotels and 4 and 5 star hotels that have offered so much more. The hotel is miles from the nearest town with just a couple of bars around so if you don't drive your stuck in the hotel as there is just 1 bus a day if it turns up at all. It costs 30 euros round trip for 2 and approx an hour to get to to other side by taxi and ferry where there is more going on. So as we didn't drive we spent most of our days relaxing by pool which would have been lovely if sun beds were of a decent quality as a platinum hotel should have been instead of well worn with iron bars sticking in your backs. My only other complaint would be that there is not much entertainment in the bar area of a night time. To us this hotel was just too quiet and too remote though it is a nice hotel and we did enjoy our stay.More

We only stayed at the Apollonion for 3 nights but had a very relaxing stay. Its a very well kept resort with nice pool area, bar and restaurant. The entire resort, including the rooms were of very high standard and were kept very clean.
The only thing which is worth mentioning, is that the beach close to the hotel (Xi) wasn't particularly nice and the area didn't offer as many eating out places or bars either. However, Kefalonia has some incredible beaches so we would definitely recommend to hire a car for part of your stay!More
We visited this great hotel "Apollonion Resort and Spa" in Lixouri (Kefalonia) with friends for a couple of days in September and I have to admit we had a great time from the very first moment we arrived there. The service was great in any time of the day. Spacious and very clean rooms with nice view. The food was excellent with delicious and various dishes every day. The service at the bar was a little bit slow!! There are a lot of leisure facilities, also an art gallery to enjoy. It's been the most quiet and relaxing 10 days of my holidays!! I'm pretty sure i'm going to visit Apollonion resort again next year.More

Very clean hotel with big rooms. the breakfast has a lot of variety of tasty foods. the buffet in the evening covers all the tastes. It is very close to the sea (ksi beach) which is organized. In the hotel they organize nights with traditional greek dance. And of course you should visit the SPA. Make sure to make an appointment some days before especially if this is for weekend. The closest city for outing is Liksouri. I would prefer Argostoli and for this you need to take ferry or go with car that will take twice time, around 45 minutes.More
