We stayed in one of the Suite Maisonettes in late July/early August. We are a family of four (45,45,19,15) and this hotel and every thing about it and the resort were exactly what we all needed and had been looking for. Yes, it's very quiet, but if it's nightlife you are looking for then this is the wrong part of Greece. The Hotel/resort is extremely restful, do what you want, when you want. Of course meals are at set periods during the day, but should meet most peoples needs. The food is plentiful, of good quality and diverse with lots of choice. Drinks prices were typical of hotels, approx. double those of local bars and restaurants but this is to be expected and if you took advantage of the specials and half price periods then were good value. We never needed to use the facilities around the main pool (we had our own private pool area) but every time we wandered through it was never over crowded and sun beds were available at most times of the day. The staff are fantastic, nothing is too much and everything comes with a smile!
The hotel is 5/10 mins walk to the beach and main restaurants and here is where you can also find the little shop that carries all the supplies you will need, from trinkets to water and snacks to inflatables.
You should be aware that following the earthquakes earlier in the year, travelling around the island isn't as easy as it used to be but don't let this put you off.
We rarely return to the same holiday resort the following year, but we are finding it difficult to top this hotel and I can say with 100% certainty we will be returning to the Apollonion Resort and Spa in 2015.
If you are in any doubt about booking this hotel, just do it, you will not be disappointed.More

Lovely honeymoon stay
We stayed at the Apollonion for one night during our honeymoon, walking in at 11pm and checking in soon after in a mezzanine suite . We loved the atmosphere and the hotel in itself. It's a good grecian standard and the lady who checked us out at the reception was very nice with us. We also made use of the SPA , and once again the staff there was great and we enjoyed the beautiful hot tub and saunas. The breakfast was also very good.More

This was a lovely hotel very modern and clean. It was very quiet and there's not a lot to do out side of the hotel, there are a couple of tavernas between the hotel and the beach. The beach is ok but cannot be called lovely although the views are great. We spent a week starting the 28.9.2014. This was the last week of being open which was not great as they seemed as if they couldn't wait for guests to leave. The food was ok but not hot, although I did ask a few times if they could reheat some of meals, which they didn't mind doing. In the main bar they ran out of some drinks Ouzo, Sparkling wine, and Draft beer, which they didn't seem to care about. The rooms where excellent, comfortable with free wi fi and safe.More

Amazing holiday, returned September for our second time and we were not disappointed lots of special touches, pastries served free in our room the one afternoon we had some rain, the rooms and hotel are spotless, nothing is to much trouble, the staff are happy, friendly and will go out of there way to help you.
Happy hour (actually 2 hours) in the cocktail bar was great fun, as was the outdoor cinema, and the Spa was a real treat.
The only downside I wish they had tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms but I will definitely be going back again next yearMore
Food let it down
The hotel is lovely and the rooms were also great. The grounds are lovely and are kept very well. The hotel has its own cinema and art gallery which was really good to visit. The staff were always nice and helpful. Now to the food. This was what let it down for us. When you go down for breakfast its a fight for teapots and milk and only one day out of the week I was served coffee to my table. I had to get it myself from the coffe pots. The food temperature was a big issue as was always cold as soon as you got it back to the table and even though there was theme nights it was always the same night after night. The bar lacked atmosphere and the cocktails were a big let down. My wife had the piña colada and it tasted so bitter it put my wife off have anymore drinks full stop. As i said the hotel is lovely and Xi beach which is only 5 mins away was vey quiet at this time of the year which was nice. We hired a car for 3 days to see other parts of the island and would recommend others to do the same.More
