Garden-view suites are light and airy and come with a double or twin bed in the bedroom and a sofa-bed in the living room. There's air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, plus a terrace or balcony offering outside space.
For anyone seeking a relaxing holiday in a very pleasant area this excellent hotel is the place to stay. Our room 202 on the first floor had a garden view, a very generous balcony and side sea view plus beautiful views across open countryside from the front. Apparently allocation is done by the hotel on the day guests arrive so I don't think it is possible to choose in advance. We could not find anything to fault, friendly and helpful staff, buffet style dining with a variety of hot and cold dishes both at breakfast and dinner (different each day) House keeping standards exceptional with bed linen changed every 2-3 days. The pool area is among the best we have experienced. The owner's taste for art is apparent from the moment of entering the hotel adding interest and an extra touch of class. A tip for others travellers who have the same coach-ferry-coach transfer from the airport, buy water from the supermarket opposite the ferry. 6x1.5L for 1.5 euros. There is a complimentary bottle in the room but after that it has to be bought from the hotel or there is a shop near the beach 10 minutes walk each way. As we like to visit other places a car was a must and I recommend Pefanis Car Hire. Arranged from the UK, paid cash on delivery to the hotel, absolutely no hidden extras. Saved 40% over the same if we had hired through the tour operator after arrival. If staying local Xi beach is clean, sandy and safe with eating establishments adjacent to the beach. The walk from the hotel is easy and flat except for a slope or the dozen steps down to the shore.More
We've stayed for two weeks in Hotel Apollonian in May 2016, we took a Maisonette Suite with a shared private pool. As this was our first vacation with our little daughter (14m), we were curious how things would go.
The rooms are really spacious, modernly furnished and well equipped! The hotel restaurants (Primavera and Pergola) served sufficient variety and all staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially they liked to play (highfives) with our daughter, which put a smile on all our faces.
The location seems to be one of the best spots for good weather on the island, though it is a bit remote to the main sightseeings of the island, so we rented a car during our stay.
We've had a great time, and we are planning to go back here for sure.More

We are a family of 4 (2 x adults + 18&10 yr old kids) and stayed here for 1 week in June 2016. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and complex.
It is worth noting that we under-estimated (or should that be didn't read / weren't informed) by TUI that the transfer to the hotel from the airport would be via coach, ferry then coach again. This was well organised but added to the 3 hours 40 minute flight and for a weeks holiday meant that we basically lost the first day just travelling.
When we arrived in the hotel (approx 10pm), the check-in was smooth and we were taken to the room via golf buggy (the kids loved this!) and had some complimentary sandwiches, fruit and water. The room we had was a Maisonette Suite with its shared private pool and it was very spacious and well equipment (inc small fridge, 2 bathrooms, air con, bed settee, outside lounge suite, safe) - I would highly recommend this.
We stayed half board and the breakfasts and evening meals were first class with a great selection/variety and very good quality of food on offer.
The beach is a short walk away (10 min stroll). The sand is a rich red colour, the sea is shallow and excellent for a young family with plenty of sunbeds to hire and 3or4 good taverna's - although the taverna you pass on the way to the beach is first class - don't be put off by its appearance.
The staff in the hotel were very friendly.
A great touch from the hotel is the free-to-hire beach towels from reception.
Another point to note is that right next door to the hotel is a Sixt/Mercury car rental company with a great selection of cars and prices - we manged to get 3 days car hire for the price of 2.
On the day we were planning to leave, we had to vacate our room by 11am (for a 16:30 coach pick-up) and the hotel provided abnother room for us to use up to 4pm, free of charge.
It is worth noting that the hotel was relatively quiet - we were told approx 200 rooms occupied out of approx 400.
In summary, the hotel complex was very clean, well maintained, the staff are excellent, the food is lovely and room we had was very good. Just be prepared for a relatively long days travelling to the hotel and then back home.More
Lovely resort with very accommodating and friendly staff. Very relaxing holiday.
Just sitting at the pool bar on our last day as I write this review, whilst my kids enjoy a last splash about in the pool. Our transfer to the airport is at 14:30 and the wonderful receptionist, Maria, has managed to allow us to stay in our (very comfortable) room for a late check out- fantastic! Check out day with late flights is always so stressful with 2 small kids in tow, but the staff here have managed to make every element of our stay so stress-free. Thank you :-)
We arrived late a week ago and were upgraded to a gorgeous two bedroom garden suite with v spacious bathroom- perfect for families. The poor and lovely Ali lugged our suitcases back and forth at 11pm as I couldn't decide if I preferred the old room compared to the new one- admittedly I was a nightmare(!) but nothing was too much trouble for this wonderful staff.
Our terrace was huge with 2 sun loungers, dining table for 4, and a mini garden. As if this wasn't enough, when I asked Maria the next day if we could have the room a few doors down as it caught more sun (so we could use the sun loungers whilst our baby slept in the room) she happily arranged it- immediately. Having the extra space and area to hang out in the evenings as the kids slept made all the difference to us, otherwise we would've been cooped up in one room tiptoeing around with no evening to enjoy.
Food was of good quality and plentiful. Antony in the restaurant was always waiting with a big hearty smile. Resort impeccably clean with lush vegetation and flowers. Clean pool area and no scramble for sun loungers. Not much to do in immediate area but highly recommend taverna on Xi Beach (next to Baywatch) for lunch and small kids play area. Get out for a few days and see the rest of this beautiful island. Not much in the way of entertainment in the evenings but all in all it felt less tacky and brash than other resorts in this price range.
Thank you Apollonian staff for a lovely and relaxing week away. :-) Hopefully will be back soon to enjoy the beautiful pool maisonette suites!
Family Holiday kelfalonia Greece.
Just had a wonderful relaxing holiday at the Apollonion Hotel in Greece. Could not fault the hotel and the facilities. The only down side is that it is so remote nowhere to go and no entertainment in the evening for guests, other than a man on the organ. As there was nowhere to go this should have been priority I think I was in bed by 9 every night. There was a little tavern couple of yard down the road, which was cheap and cheerful, for a bit of a change. There was plenty of choice in the restaurant and plenty of it. The staff where brilliant friendly and helpful, and always ready to serve. The room where kept pristine everyday.More
