The Silo Studios have both the benefits of being surrounded by woodland and therefore very quiet, and being only a five to ten minute walk to shops, bars, restaurants and the resort centre. For those beach lovers, the golden sands of Makris Gialos beach are about a five minute walk away and there is an even quieter beach closer still.

The largest of the Ionian islands, Kefalonia has been spared the sometimes devastating effects of mass tourism, partly down to the lack of regular international flights, and also because of the 1953 earthquake. The tremor destroyed many of the beautiful Venetian buildings, but this may have helped to preserve a great deal of the island's landscape. And it is for this reason Kefalonia is a walkers paradise, many Greeks come here to wander along the shimmering white beaches or through the hillsides swathed in olive groves.

Due to the increase in tourism in the area and the development that has taken place over the last few years, the last remaining vine in Lassi is producing wine at the Silo Studios and is therefore truly special. And the olive oil, pressed from the olives grown in the groves surrounding the studios is on sale for you to take home as a souvenir and is also used in the cooking for the food served at the bar. All organic products grown at the studios are used in the dishes on the menu, the owners take a great deal of pride in ensuring that all the fabulous food cooked here is as fresh as possible.
