Right at the southern tip of Kefalonia, surrounded by rural scenery, is the snoozy resort of Katelios. Holidays here may provoke a yawn from party people … but if you're looking for somewhere laid-back and lovely, with ample tavernas and space to just chill, holidays in Katelios will suit you down to the ground.

Starting at the sea – the beginning, middle and end of many a relaxing break here – the resort boasts a broad bay, catching the best of the morning sun. Its sand and pebble beach shelves gently into the shallows and looks across to Zante and mainland Killini.
