An introduction to Villa Penelope
Villa Penelope stands in an elevated position approximately 2km from the centre of Fiskardo and from this lofty vantage point it commands spectacular views across the sea to Ithaca, Lefkas and the mainland. This detached villa is divided into two self-contained apartments that share a swimming pool and garden. The artist owner has laid down distinctive and colourful clay floor tiles on the terrace and in the living room depicting Cephalonian scenes and buildings. The ground floor apartment has a spacious terrace, whilst the upper floor apartment benefits from attractive sloping ceilings.
One of the most captivating aspects of the Ionian Islands is the magnificence of both the landscapes and seascapes, for the islands are close enough to each other - and to the mainland - that there is always something of interest between you and the horizon. One of Fiskardo's loveliest coves, Foki Beach, is just an 800m walk downhill along the small coastal road running close to the villa, but the car included in the cost of your holiday saves you the walk back uphill from the beach and enables you to pop down to Fiskardo for dinner.
