First things first, though. Let's explain the name. There's a clue in the centre of the complex – namely a historical chimney. It dates back to the 1920's when the hotel site used to be an olive oil factory and local area was known as the Biomichaniki Periochi - or Bio for short.
Translated, that means the industrial area. And while the factories have all long since vanished, the Hotel Bio gives a nod back to old days. In fact, its listed chimney has been deemed a cultural monument by the Greek Ministry of Culture and looks magnificent at night, all lit up. Bizarre names and history aside though, what can you expect from the Bio? Well, it's great if you're looking for a quiet hideaway that's still close to all the action. What's more it was refurbished in 2006 and so it's quite swish and decked out with all the mod-cons.

It was 1 of the best holibay we have be to. The pool, bar and the food was excellent. The long bech was good. The people were great it what you could ask for. more on this review
