Mika Apartments

You get the best of both worlds at the Mika Apartments – they’re set on a sleepy hillside, but lively Hersonissos is just 10 minutes’ drive away.

It’s a tale of two halves at these apartments. They might have a low-key village postcode, but it’s only a short taxi ride into Hersonissos if you want to pick up the pace in the town’s bars and clubs.

The décor here goes classic Greek, thanks to cool white rooms, blue woodwork, and mosaic-edged pools. Speaking of the pools, there are two of them, along with a couple of spots to have a drink in.

Leuk complex!

Have been there for 12 days with my girlfriend, and the appartment is really recommendable! We had a very nice room with a great view, and the staff is very friendly and can give you a lot of tips about what to visit in the area! Would come back for another time also!More

Daniel M,

Stayed for 7 nights here had a great time, standard rooms but it's enough, great people so friendly and helpful. We had breakfast every morning which was lovely to a time that suited us each morning! A great run place with great people, they're staff are a credit to them as they are outstanding. Wifi is brilliant also👌 More

Perfect holiday!

We have stayed at Mika villa's for eight days. In advance, we have read the reviews. And all I can say now is: please don't believe Any of the negative reviews! Yes, you have to walk to the beach, but if you read the website before you book, you could have known That. The staff is absolutely amazing and we had a great time With them. IT is great value for your money. We had a fab time and Will defenitely come back !More

Martine v,

Don't be too put off by bad reviews!.

We are a couple in our 60's who stayed here for 2 weeks from mid-June till early July, 2016. We arrived with mixed expectations and open minds after having read the surprisingly few reviews which existed about Mika's. Even fewer were informative or complimentary. First of all, Mika's is in a great location; quiet, tranquil, and the centre of the rustic village of Piskopiano is literally a 2 minute uphill walk away, with Koutouloufari further to the left and Anno Hersonissos 10 minutes walk to the right. Bustling Hersonissos is 15 minutes downhill, towards the sea. The owners are very friendly and helpful, onsite is a well-stocked mini-market, two pools, and the weather was great - if a bit hot during our stay. Air con for the week was 40 Euros for our large upper apartment. Views from our balcony were great! So far - so good. The rooms are perfectly adequate, a bit tired, reasonably maintained, kitchen equipment just sufficient. Wi-Fi free if a bit weak at times. Maid service is very basic; bins emptied daily, towels changed twice in 2 weeks, bed linen once. The potential here is great, but instead of investment they seem to have chosen to welcome groups of youths, most of whom probably have fittings/furnishings set very low on their holiday 'tick' list. Good luck to them. Most of them were well behaved during our stay, we were not disturbed, though we heard the owner loudly rebuking a group for being a bit rowdy near the pool. Their 'music' was a bit loud at times, but never in the evening. This was monitored anyway by the security guard. Even the locals don't quite understand why the younger element turn up here (mid-June till end August, mainly) because they are rarely seen in the villages, don't seem to like Greek food, and as this place is a foodie haven, they seem a bit misplaced. It's 7 Euros back from Hersonissos, and probably a lot more to Malia. The owners very thoughtfully located us in an apartment away from where the young ones were grouped, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As a couple who like our music (quite rock'n roll - quite loud), enjoy a good drink, have a family who, like us, were once teenagers, we are perhaps quite tolerant of high-spiritidness. However, elder people might best be alerted to the fact that here they might encounter a fusion of cultures not quite to their expectations of Piskopiano. For the time being, the 3 villages remain unspoilt, though you will find few untypical bars as you first walk up the hill. Walk just a bit further and enjoy the peace, along with any number of excellent tavernas.More

Was nice but security was not friendly

I stayed here last week with 3 my friends, the place is a lovely place to stay the pool is nice and the bar staff are very friendly , first I was told the AC was only 4 euro a day to get which I did not mind paying it at all then I came back down and they changed the charge to 35 for the week which I though was not fair as I got told two different prices, there is a big guard dog that barks in mornings and is very frighting , the security man was horrible he kept telling me and my friends to go to bed at 3am when we were only sitting on our balcony having a quite drink and talking were in our 20s so we're not kids ! There was no family around us and the place is quit the security man was so ignorant he was just looking for a fight shouting things up to us, I have to say I would go back Greece but would never stay in this place again it was a horrible experience and I don't recommend it to anyone at all !!!!!
