Top Notch Hotel ! 5 star in every way!
We booked through Thomson/Tui, this hotel has received their highest awards and they are definitely justified. We can't praise this hotel enough, as soon as we arrived we were greeted by the manager and a glass of bubbly......they had arranged a birthday cake for my husband in our room as a surprise and a bottle of fizz, as my husband had emailed ahead to advise we were also there to celebrate our 10yr anniversary, the staff here and level of service was the best we have experienced - EVER ! Nothing was too much trouble and the manager Dimitris Perrakis and his 2nd in command Dimitris Tsaklas were always around to shake hands and check you had everything you needed, both me and my Wife commented if they ever had family's to go home too, as they even were there waving the coach off as we left! Another jewel in the hotel crown was a lady called Sofia Damavoliti guest relations manager, her warm manor and positivity was infectious ! Even the Owner of the hotel was around - Mr Kalliston sat with the guests enjoying the ambience. Another important factor to mention as it's always something I find never up to par in these hotels, was the level of cleanliness.. it was spotless from public areas, to bathrooms, gym , the pool you name it they had it covered.. I don't think you could go wrong here , if you want a great beach location with exceptional service with great food in adult only hotel in Crete , then look no further then the Kalliston. my top tip would be if your not all inclusive then opt for the drinks 3day package it seems harsh at first parting with 175 euros up front but that's for 1 couple 3days all you can drink, we did this the first 3 days then the last 3 days we were out and about doing more excursions. Gym was great if that's your bag, very well equipped. With additional large hydro work out pool, with underwater treadmill and cycle. Spa was lovely but as like most 5star hotels quite expensive. Entertainment was very subtle, 1 night they had a fantastic lady singer and guitarist, the other some Greek traditional band, nothing cheesy though and not over powering .. we had a marvellous time ! I would definitely go back again and that's very unusual for me to say as I never normally like to holiday in the same place twice but at the Kalliston I would certainly make an exception xMore

Lives up to all expectations
We are currently on our last night at this resort and don't want to leave. If you are looking for an adults only relaxing holiday you can't beat this hotel. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel special, the little touches with bringing you treats round the pool really adds to the feeling of being spoilt. The daily Aquafit with Andrew was always a good giggle too. A huge thank you to all the staff for making our holiday pure perfection and we will be back!!!More
Our holiday in paradise
I know it sounds corny but this really was a holiday in paradise. We have holidayed in many places across Europe and always go for 4/5 star so we appreciate quality. This hotel is it. So much so, I am just booking to go back! Location, stunning, right on the beach. The warm Med is delightful to swim in. We had a delux room with sea view and was well worth the extra money for the view across the bay. Food, excellent. The four specialist restaurants are top class, worthy of a five star hotel. We did find the buffet in the main restaurant a little disappointing at times. I have experienced better choice in other hotels. Staff, just brilliant - nothing is too much trouble. We had a couple of issues where we needed assistance and the staff were spot on. The management are always around and accessible which is good. Pools and facilities are fabulous. We had spa treatments and I thoroughly recommend this - very relaxing and enjoyable. Entertainment - we didn't need this although there is plenty to do and the evening music was great, especially the Greek music The Cretian people are lovely and warm. If you haven't been I really do recommend this island. Just a word also for our Thomson rep Sue who was the best we have ever encountered. Again, nothing was too much trouble and her knowledge of the island is encyclopedic!More

What a wonderful place
This is the hotel you should pic if you want the perfect vacation. We loved the location near Chania city and on one of the best beaches on the island with own sun beds on the beach. Within some few steps you have everything on this hotel. We choosed to stay on the beach (chairs for free) and went up ones in a while to take a swim in one of the pools. We also loved the short transfer time to the airport. The rooms were really nice. The staff were totally amazing and they really made our stay to the great stay it became to be - Everyone from the people in the reception, the restaurant etc. A special thank you to the wonderful relationship manager Sofia who were totally amazing. She had an answer on all our questions and did not hesitate to point out each wonderful restaurant and bar in the town. Also we received a big hug when leaving the hotel. Not to forget – the food. Woow what a variety of very well tasting food. Also perfect. Try to pic a table close to the beach – the view is wonderful. This is one of my absolute favorite hotels in the world so far – and belive me I have seen many. I can’t wait to go back.More
Service above and beyond
What a fantastic hotel with service that is second to none. We were staying as part of a party of ten, celebrating our friends 25th wedding anniversary. From the moment you arrive nothing is too much trouble. Considering we were a party of ten the staff made sure each meal time that there was a table prepared for us and made you feel welcome. One evening we arrived late from dinner for the evening entertainment and found there were insufficient chairs for us all. The staff were then sent up two flights of stairs to bring comfortable chairs down from another seating area to accommodate us. The excellent leadership obviously comes from the manager who never seems to leave the site and is always guiding his staff and observing what is going on. One day he lead the staff down to the beach where they were all collecting any litter or sharp objects that were on the beach. As a couple we like our holidays have 6-8 per year and travelling to some fantastic hotels but i have to say that nowhere can beat the service here. It is as if someone has picked all the best service staff in the world and put them in one resort. If i had one observation to make it would be that as a group we would have liked a bit more lively entertainment with a chance to dance in the evening. On the day you leave the staff line up to shake your hand and wave you off. One of our friend said it was like waving goodbye to his family. I hope that the management and staff are rewarded by the parent company as they really are the jewel in the crown.More
