A little late in reviewing his wonderful place. We booked last minute for 11 days in October for my wife's birthday. Having read the reviews we thought we'd try it for ourselves. We we're not disappointed. From the moment we arrived to our departure we felt so at ease & fully chilled out. The family who run this Hotel/Apts are incredibly hard working & go out of their way to make your holiday great. Manos & Maria in the bar area, Sophie in the dining room. All the cleaners etc. first class. The whole place is spotless. It looks as though we to have been bitten by the return bug, we have book to return in June this year & cannot wait to meet up with family again. Thank you to all of them.More

I had a wonderful trip to Mikes Hotel. The staff was very nice, and the restaurant served some lovely food. Rooms well preserved and air conditioning was really good and when you walk in from the hot outside to your room it's a significant change. I had a lovely time at Mikes Hotel and I can easily give this a 5 star. More
Book It Now You Wont be Disappointed
Stopped at the MIke Hotel in August for 2 weeks. i would definately go back again. From the moment we got there and was given some free cold drinks by Sophia we were looked after by her and the rest of the staff like we were family. It is a fantastic family run hotel where nothing is too much trouble for them to arrange for you. we stopped in room 5 in the and it was cleaned and clean towels everyday except Sundays. The room was very spacious had tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. The shower was a bit on the small side but adequate. We ate in the restaurant many times during our stay and found the food to be excellent value for the money. Sophia took pride in telling you how the daily specials were made and the food always tasted fantastic. I would recommend eating in a few times. It was a short walk downhill to the pool area and pool bar which is basically on the beach just cross the road. Theres always plenty of sun beds and the drinks are very cheap and the snacks very tasty and cheap. The hotel sits on the main road of Maleme which is a quiet village but has several restaurants and bars. If you go out of the hotel and turn left keep walking till you come to a kebab take away / restaurant just next to the very big supermarket. The food here is so cheap and really tasty cheapest place to eat. Down on the beach turn right the 1st restaurant is Wave good price and the food is fantastic. Opposite the hotels front door across the road is the bus stop to Platanias and the lovely sandy beach at Agia Marina then on to Chania The bus route ends in Chania Bus station so you cant go wrong. Tell the conductor where you want to get off for other stops. You wont go wrong. they run every half hour and are normally on time. Coming back from Chania you can buy a ticket in the station and then look at the tvs for the times off the next bus, they pull in and pull away from the bays dont go looking for the bus around the station they do pull in in front of you once youve done it once its becomes a lot easier. Coming back from Chania etc keep your eye out for the big supermarket yours is the next stop after that. The bus runs from there to Tavronitis and Kolymbari the opposite direction . The beaches are stoney at Maleme and Tavronitis and Kolymbari but i would recommend going into Kolymbari for the wonderful fish restaurants . Coming back after you come past the military air base and pass by the big garage on the right on the Maleme main road yours is the next stop opposite the hotel . Maleme is quiet but you can get a bus and easily get to more livelier and busy resorts The hotel is a gem of a place and the hosts are brilliant you wont be disappointed book it now.More
If you are reading the reviews here on Trip Advisor and thinking of going to Mike Hotel & Apartments all I can say is get back to your travel agent/Internet site and book it! Have just returned from an amazing week here. Can honestly not find anything bad to say. All the staff are welcoming and friendly. Whole of hotel is spotlessly clean. Pool area was lovely and so many sun beds I can't imagine there is ever an issue, even in August. We had paid for B&B, ate in the restaurant three evenings and had lunch by the pool once. All the food was excellent. Loved our "vitamins" at the pool bar (ouzo). Some lovely walks from the hotel and easy to catch bus to Chania and Kolymbari so even though Maleme itself was quiet plenty to do if you don't want to sit by a pool all day or hire a car. I'm not someone who would usually go back to the same place (too much world left to see) but think it is highly likely I will return here.More
Very nice quiet hotel. Stayed in the superior rooms, nearest to the beach. Had all the essentials, fridge, kettle etc. Accommodation and service all very good. Friendly staff. Plenty of sunbeds, pool is a reasonable size with shallow kid section. Reasonable prices on drinks and food.More
