Hotel Nana Beach

With 5 outdoor pools, 5 restaurants and 2 private coves, the numbers really add up at this whitewashed hotel.

At this bumper hotel, whitewashed buildings step down through bougainvillea-filled gardens towards 2 private coves. On the way, there’s a selection box of swimming pools.

This place doesn’t stint on anything. For a start, it’s got 5 restaurants. Then there’s the huge checklist of bars. And activity-wise, the hotel lays on everything from archery to canoeing.

Fabulous family holiday resort

We've just got back from our first holiday abroad with our 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter. I don't normally bother with reviews but I thought this warranted some feedback. It was amazing - I was concerned about taking such little ones off. The service was attentive and friendly. The resort was clean and appeared to have been updated recently. There were good facilities for children - potties, travel cots and plenty of highchairs The layout of the resort seemed to have been carefully planned. It was more like a small village with winding paths between small whitewashed buildings are lovely gardens. The kids loved the choice of pools, sheltered beach and free ice cream! There's loads of entertainment during the day and in the evening for kids but ours were a little young and certainly too tired after a day of swimming to go to the evening events. The majority of the kids club was in German but perhaps that was because we travelled the week before school broke up here in England? Nana Beach made our first trip abroad with the kids a pleasurable not stressful experience. Thank you!More

Christina H,

Lovely baby moon trip

We stayed at the Hotel Nana Beach at the end of June and overall had a great time. Positives: The hotel staff were fantastic and very accommodating. Being 27 weeks pregnant at the time we requested a suitable room and were provided with one right in the centre of the hotel with views of the main pool. Although we spent all of our time during the day on a preferred sunbathing platform by the rocky coast, the location of the room was absolutely great as it meant I did not have to travel far in the evening to the restaurants and bars. On arrival at 2am the hotel had prepared all of the new guests with cold plates of dinner and it was a really nice touch after a long day of travelling. We were also provided with some champagne and fresh fruit in our room as we were celebrating a special occasion. This was a great start to the holiday. The hotel itself is absolutely spotless and the grounds are beautiful. All of the staff we encountered were always accommodating and very polite. We visited all of the a la carte restaurants during our stay and have to comment that the Greek A'la carte restaurant was superb. The Italian and Fish restaurant however were quite disappointing. The fish was over cooked and the Italian menu was not very authentic. Negatives: As a couple staying the hotel, it was often difficult at meal times to avoid the huge amount of children staying at the hotel. As such meals were always felt like a noisy and manic affair. We avoided the main restaurant and preferred to eat early for breakfast and late for dinner at the Thalassa as there were always far fewer children dining here. The most irritating element of the holiday however were hotel guests reserving sun beds. Due to the lack of sleep at 27 weeks pregnant I often found myself awake in the early hours of the morning and sun beds were already being reserved at 5.30am with not a sole in sight. The location my husband and I preferred to spend our time had 10 sun beds reserved from 6am and the guests would not turn up until 12pm! The hotel has signs up, but it does absolutely nothing to enforce this policy so the signs are very much redundant. We saw families trying to find a space by the swimming pools at 9am and there were not beds left. I appreciate that there were plenty of beds available for guests, by the rocky coast but this is not always a suitable location for young families. The reserving of sun beds is absolutely ridiculous, the hotel should either enforce their policy or take their signs down. Overall: We enjoyed our stay at Nana Beach and found the staff and hotel complex to be good. The food was always fresh and constantly changing, even though on some days I was not a fan of some of the choices, there was always something to eat. There were plenty of places to sunbathe and the rocky sea coast was just perfect for us, no children and a nice breeze from the coast. Just watch out for choppy sea and the plentiful anemones! The real downside is the sun beds reserving by guests. If you have a preferred spot I would suggest setting your alarm for 6am, ignore the signs, plonk your towel down and go back to bed for a few hours. If you cant beat them join them!More

Claire M,

Excellent choice of holiday !!!

We stayed at nana beach for 1 week at the end of June. After lots of searching for a perfect family holiday we chose nana beach as it seemed to cater for everything we wanted. We traveled with our 2 year old son who loved every minute as there was so much to do. It was a 45 minute transfer from the airport, we were checked in quickly by friendly staff and then driven to our room on a golf buggy which was a nice touch as it wasn't too far from reception. The resort seemed very big but once you have a walk around everything is easy to find and is all walking distance. Our room which was in block 700 was very clean and spacious, it had all the things we needed for our stay and was maintained everyday by the house keepers which was nice. We stayed a stones throw away from the beach so spent a lot of time there, we always managed to get beds there and it didn't seem too busy. We visited the children/family pool each afternoon which was lovely, especially for our little boy who loved the sprinklers and slide. The pools do get busy and people do reserve sun beds but there is so many pools to choose from we never had a problem finding a space. The kids club was a great place to visit each day with our son to escape the sunshine for a while and let him have fun, although he didn't join in with many of the activities the animation team always seemed to be happy and you could see the effort they went to, to make it enjoyable for the older children. The children's disco at night time lasted between 30 minutes to an hour depending on what entertainment was planned for the night, like the other reviews have said it isn't all English music but the children and parents were all included and had fun which is all that counts. We saw a few shows whilst we were there including 'Aladdin' and ' comedy acrobat show' these were amazing and great for the whole family, you could see how much effort was put into them. The food was brilliant especially the 3 a la carte restaurants which you could visit as many times as you wanted during your stay, you just need to pre book at breakfast time as they get booked up quickly. Our favourite was the Italian restaurant, the food was amazing and the service was like being in a top end restaurant. Buffet breakfast was OK a little repetitive, buffet lunch was nice we went around the main pool most days for this. The snack bars were good, fast food but all did different types. The staff work incredibly hard here each day and couldn't do enough for us. The grounds were maintained to such a high standard and very picturesque, the views around the complex are also lovely. We walked into stallis one night for a meal and a wonder around, this took about 20 minutes and was well worth the trip, from talking to others there is also other day trips and walks you could do but we were so busy on the resort we ran out of time. The only negatives we would say is what most other people have said, the trousers at night for men was a little too much especially in the buffet restaurants and also paying for wifi, we completely understand it'd be hard to make it free for everyone to use but 5€ for one hour was a little too much as many local bars offer it for free. We would 100% return back here as we had an amazing week and couldn't of asked for much more. Thank you Nana Beach.More

misleading !!!

Just returned on 14th July after 7 days, very disappointed in the room, I booked a "BUNGALOW" with a garden view because we were taking my 18 year old grandson and 16 year old granddaughter but ended up in a room with 1 double bed and 3 single beds and 1 bathroom, needless to say not very suitable. Also after reading lots of reviews before we went all saying there were plenty of subnets pfft !!!! We could not find 1 subbed free on the 1st day were there but counted all the reserved ones 23 reserved at 1 pool alone !!!!!! you need to start calling rooms, rooms and bungalows it is very misleading.More
