Hotel Nana Beach

With 5 outdoor pools, 5 restaurants and 2 private coves, the numbers really add up at this whitewashed hotel.

At this bumper hotel, whitewashed buildings step down through bougainvillea-filled gardens towards 2 private coves. On the way, there’s a selection box of swimming pools.

This place doesn’t stint on anything. For a start, it’s got 5 restaurants. Then there’s the huge checklist of bars. And activity-wise, the hotel lays on everything from archery to canoeing.

Nana Beach Hotel (not necessarily for Nana's!!)

Stayed here with my elderly mother in September 2015. Thought we would be an all inclusive, that we could have a nice relaxed break. We had requested a sea/ocean view. We arrived really late at night, so could not see the view until the next day, ....the side of the swimming pool. I went to Reception and told them we had paid €40 extra for a sea view, they offered to move us to the floor above, which had a same view only higher, then they offered to move us to another room across the other side of the property which means we would have quite a walk to the restaurants for meals etc. So they then decided we could have another room, but the next day, so we had two nights in a terrible room with no view and noisy air conditioning which I did not mention as we were moving anyway!! We moved the next day and the view was much better. The property is quite spread out and lots of steps, uneven pathways, very rustic looking but difficult to walk on if you have a stick or are at all unsure of your footing. We were informed by our travel rep that the hotel staff would gladly bring us to/from our room if we requested. On the one occasion I did not to reception and ask, the Receptionist looked at me quite amazed and said "Is there something wrong with your legs". I was really shocked and she obviously saw by my reaction, I was gobsmacked, she then thought the better of it and asked someone to bring us to room (in Greek) not speaking to me again, but gesturing to follow driver. It rained 3 days while we were there and I was even nervous of slipping walking on the stone pathways. The staff in the restaurants were quite rude, I understand it is quite busy at times but as a new guest you are not always sure of where to go, one morning I was elbowed out of the way from the orange juice, with a grunt of "no, no, no, so I figured it was not working! There was lots of children of all ages, running around doing what kids do. Not good if you are trying to make your way across a packed restaurant with a plate of food! All inclusive and you have to pay for Wifi, TV in the room but only English news channels. The first room smelt of damp, again as we moved did not complain. There is a shop onsite, minimal choice. What do you need a shop for when it is all inclusive you cry!! Well I drink Coke, I do not like coke coloured water. I think they had a soda stream in the restaurants, it was definitely not Coke or Pepsi. Food was always tepid, plenty of choice, not necessarily something you would always like. This is definitely not 4/5 Star Hotel, it is 3 Star accommodation.More

Nana Beach Hotel (great hotel)

Spent the last 2 weeks in October at Nana Beach with the first week's weather being hot and sunny with the second being warm but wet. No reflection on the hotel as they can't control the weather. I had read a number of reviews about this hotel and found most of the negatives to be completely unfounded. The staff were friendly and helpful in reception, bars and the restaurants. The food was of good quality, hot, well presented with plenty of choice for everyone. The bars around the pools serve beer, wine, soft drinks and ice cream to which you could help yourself. The main bar serve all drinks in glass glasses which makes a big difference and there was a good selection of cocktails to suit most people. Around all the pools there were plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. There is also a small pool area for adults only so if you want some child free time this is the place for you. I had read that rooms were a bit dated but ours had relatively new furniture with more drawer space than we have experienced in any other hotel. There is a safe in the room but that cost 28€ for 2 weeks. The TV in the room received BBC1, ITV1, Channel 5 and most important, Sky Sport. The hotel is located within 10 to 15 minutes walk of the nearest town of Stalis where you'll find plenty of bars and restaurants. You can also book your trips out at much less than you will pay the tour operators. Only one small downside is that there is no free WiFi in the hotel. If you want this you have to pay for it.More

Very good, almost great

Been there with wife and friends. A fine place to stay, the cleaning service was shining bright and the room was comfortable. The Manager was smart and funny enough. Very close to the seaside, surely i'll be back there.More

Lovely family holida

Arrived late at night with my daughter and 2year old great-granddaughter. Check in was fast and we were taken to our room on a golf trolley which certainly helped. The room was fine although not over large. The hotel is directly on the beach which was great. Lots of pools although we spent most of our time by the childrens one which was very good. Several snack bars serving the usual burgers fish fingers, chicken nuggets. We used the 3 a la carte restaurants which were pretty good and we would definitely return.More

Amazing hotel

Had our first holiday here and will definitely be coming back! We did not make use of the animation ( kids club) but from what I could see, it was certainly set up for the German residents of the hotel. Even though they all did speak excellent English. The restaurant staff were fabulous and really made the children feel welcome and not a nuisance. A special thank you to Maria for her extra attention of our daughter. The bar staff were amazing and gave generous amounts :) The food in the restaurants were plentiful and always replenished. The "Thalassa" restaurant by the beach was certainly the better of the two as its slightly smaller. The beach bar was cooking fresh food on demand. Always somewhere to get a drink. The pools were really out of use as they were so cold. So we couldn't make full use of them. The weather for October is usually more wet apparently and they were closing down a lot of the nearby attractions. So would recommend not going the last week of October. Because the hotel were also ready for closing they let us have the room until we had to leave without charge. Excellent service and would recommend to anyone. Thank you to every who made our family holiday amazing.More
