Hotel Nana Beach

With 5 outdoor pools, 5 restaurants and 2 private coves, the numbers really add up at this whitewashed hotel.

At this bumper hotel, whitewashed buildings step down through bougainvillea-filled gardens towards 2 private coves. On the way, there’s a selection box of swimming pools.

This place doesn’t stint on anything. For a start, it’s got 5 restaurants. Then there’s the huge checklist of bars. And activity-wise, the hotel lays on everything from archery to canoeing.

Beautiful hotel - awful service

The hotel is well situated with a own beach access. The garden is in a very good condition and really beautiful. As well the seaside is very beautiful. But the majority of the staff members is not very friendly. Especially the greek women working at the reception. As well the animation team is not very animating. Food: If in a restaurant (thalasso) the opening times are till 2200, why do they start to remove the buffet already at 2130? The a-la-carte restaurant Zorbas was only bookable 3 days in advance and the quality was not really good since there were only 3 options to choose! If you are thirsty during your stay you almost need to buy water in the market, because they don't fill up water in the room and you're unable to get a bigger amount of water than a small glass to take along. Over all we think it would be a lot better there if they would have more employees. What would be better than a friendly staff! Under these conditions we would not visit this place a second time.More

Great hotel, great hotel staff.

This is a great hotel, the staff are some of the friendliest I have ever met. Especially George and Giannis in the main bar. The beach is very well kept and there are always sun beds available. If you're all inclusive you also get free access to water-sports such as, kayaking, pedalos and even a free introductory scuba diving course. The food is very good and the waiting staff are very polite and friendly even at the busiest of times. The animation team is fantastic, again very friendly and engaging. They put on a good show in the evening. The only problem we encountered whilst there were the Thomson reps. Which may or may not effect you. On the day we arrived we were supposed to have a welcoming meeting with these reps at 1015, we arrived at 1010 and they were already half-way through. We foolishly booked an excursion, costing 120 Euros for the both of us. We later found out that if we had gone by ourselves the tickets cost 10 Euros each. Whilst on the coach taking us to the excursion we met another couple, who said they had been on an excursion everyday of their trip so far, and that the closest to being on time the coach had been was nearly 30 minutes late. This set the tone for the trip, the excursion that is no more than 20 minutes away from the hotel took nearly 2 hours to reach, which may I add was no fault of the drivers, just the very poor organisation of the excursion. This is a fantastic hotel, with superb staff, but for the love of god, don't book anything with Thomson once you arrive. There is a very nice lady in reception most days who you can rent cars through, this is by far the best option. All in all I would definitely go back to this hotel, because as I've said, its superb and the staff are great. Not to mention the lovely gardens surrounding the rooms. Just don't expect much from the Thomson reps.More

A really lovely place, pleasant staff and people

Really lovely stay at the Nana Beach Hotel. Went with my partner and it was truly lovely. Staff were all very helpful. Had an issue with ants on our first night but this was rectified very quickly, which was great as we really didn't want to have to change rooms after unpacking. They even left some spray if we needed it but we didn't. Food was as you would expect from an all inclusive resort with lots of unique choices on different days, like game, and snails, (I must admit I did not try the latter) but it was nice to have options. Their traditional Moussaka was DIVINE!! Breakfast was my food highlight, fresh omelettes and the chef remembered what I liked to have in it everyday. lots of kids/young families which, although we were not expecting they did not pose as a problem for me and my partner. There seemed to be a fair amount to do for families and children. The pools were sooooo nice, discovered a new one everyday. Good location, close to malia and other nice places however i would strongly recommend renting a car to explore it was not expensive if you booked through the sales rep in the hotel reception- the lady there Natalia was just lovely. We really felt that you could make the holiday what you wanted to at Nana Beach and the staff were very concerned in making sure we were ok. The service at the a la carte 'fisch' restaurant was disappointing, as it was PAINFULLY slow but the food was VERY nice, and the 2 ladies who came around equipped with Raki for us to swig and made me and my partner kiss were very pleasant. On our lastly day we found that we were not made aware of the check out procedure of the hotel by our travel agent. We had to be out at 12pm despite our transfer coach not arriving to the hotel until 22.00 or be subject to a charge of €45. The hotel kindly waivered this fee and allowed us stay until we were ready to vacate the room which we appreciated sooooooo much. I would say that the WiFi system could be better- I am aware some parts of the hotel, with fancier rooms have WiFi as standard however we paid €40 for a weeks worth of WiFi but you couldn't connect multiple devices, and could be quite slow and sometime-ish, and did not work everywhere in the hotel which could be a little frustrating. I would 100% recommend this hotel and will almost definitely return. Not that my travel agent were bad but we personally did not find them overly helpful, found the service a bit too sales pitchy. Nana Beach Hotel and their staff massively compensated for this by just doing their jobs.More

lovely clean hotel with efficient pleasant staff

I have just returned from a weeks holiday at this hotel, to be honest I couldn't fault it. The rooms were clean and spacious, we were staying in the garden rooms. The resort itself is spotless with some really beautiful gardens. My friend and I are female, 48 years old and both married with busy lives, we take a weeks holiday each year just to laze around and relax. There were lots of families at the resort with young children, but we didn't really see a lot of them as they were well catered for in designated areas around the resort, so those that wanted peace and quiet could easily find it. The food was good but was a little samey as are most all inclusive hotels. The facilities were excellent, nice beach, plenty of sun beds in good condition around both pool and beach areas, the cleanest and well kept toilet areas I have ever seen. If I was being picky the entertainment was not good, there was a disco that played a lot of old music and felt like we were in a time warp, there were shows put on by the staff (couldn't comment on quality as never watched any). I would definitely recommend it, the whole place is really well organised and we had a lovely week no complaints.More
