It’s cool. It’s sexy. It’s serene. Everything about the Thalassa Beach Resort whispers class. Take the lobby, for instance. All beech wood finish and marble floors, the interior designers have mixed Mediterranean style with Scandinavian sleek. The same is true of the bedrooms, which are decked out in soft, muted shades. And the marble-caked bathrooms are rather impressive, too. But the real icing on the cake is every room has a balcony and many have dreamy sea views.

You see, the Thalassa Beach is snuggled right up against the beach and gazes out across sparkling waters to Thodorou Island. On the subject of location, you get the best of both worlds here. While the hotel is an oasis of calm, it’s tucked in a lively part of Aghia Marina with bars, restaurants and shops close by - so you can dip in and out of things as you wish.

Of course, we’re guessing much of your time will be spent down by the pool. Looking down on the beach and framed by stylish decking, this turquoise stunner has a glamourous swim-up bar with stools submerged in the water. Simply slide up, order a cocktail and drink in the view of the sea.

Facilities-wise, the hotel’s a winner, too. From volleyball to workouts, saunas to massages, there’s plenty to choose from. You’re probably beginning to get the picture. This place is special. In fact when we first came to review it we thought its four star rating didn’t really do it justice. We’ll leave you to decide…

We enjoyed a wonderful, 2 week holiday at the Thalassa Beach Hotel (Aug 2008). The hotel is spacious in the main public areas, the staff are extremely helpful and very friendly and the food is absolutely delicious! There are some tables postioned... more on this review
