And don’t forget the resort itself, which has a good pick of shops, tavernas and restaurants. It’s an easy 10 minute walk. The Romanza itself is housed in a pretty palatial-style villa. Warm and welcoming, the service here is second to none. You’re never treated like a room number. And everywhere has a real home-from-home feel.

The cheery restaurant mixes and matches bright modern colours and furniture with traditional touches like the tiled floors. The bar’s just as cosy with its plump wicker chairs and satellite TV. Factor in restful bedrooms that make the most of those stirring views and you can’t help but feel right at home here.
