Flanked by acres of greenery and right on the beach, the Louis Family Resort showcases the best of Corfu’s scenery.
The Louis Family Resort is in a great spot for families. It’s set in spacious gardens, which means you’ve got room to stretch out. On top of that, you’re only ever steps from a shingle beach.
Outside there are 2 pools. In terms of where to eat and drink, you’ve got a buffet place and an Asian à la carte*. This hotel is part of our Thomson Family Resorts range, too, so there’s plenty on offer for children.

Louis family resort Corfu - an excellent holiday!!!!
We have just returned from the Louis family resort and can say it has been one of the best holidays we have ever had. The atmosphere is relaxed and calm and we have returned well rested. Food and drink - The Muri a la carte restaurant is a must to try. We really enjoyed it. The main restaurant always had plenty of choice and we liked the local dishes. It did get really busy at peak times and as we like to eat outside rather than in the noisy canteen style atmosphere we generally waited until a little later in the evening to dine. We also preferred to eat here at lunchtimes, however my son did enjoy the pizzas at the pool side snack bar. The cocktails were ok and all the other drinks were self service. Pool - there are 2 pools, we preferred to be around the larger one and this has got to be the nicest and cleanest I have ever experienced on holiday. Staff - the Thomson reps and animation team were amazing. They were hard working and tried to engage with as many people as possible. There were so many activities to take part in all day that it kept my son and husband entertained! The hotel staff have also got to be commended, they were so friendly and helpful and really good with the children. I do think that at peak times in the bars and restaurant they did need more staff though. Location - the short transfer time was a bonus for us. We also liked being a short taxi ride (10 euros) from Corfu town and we enjoyed going in and walking around the old town and having a nice meal out. There isn't much to walk out to around the hotel but there is a lidl across the road and a shop on site. Booking a sea view on the 3rd or 4th floor is a must as the views are really lovely. One of the nicest we've ever had on holiday. Trips - we only booked one trip which was the beach barbecue. I would really recommend this, but not if you have very small children. We had a great time. Otherwise we did our own thing going in to Corfu town. Cleanliness - our room was spotless and the hotel was very clean and in a good state of repair. Wasps, bees and mosquitoes - there were quite a lot of bees and wasps around during the day in the bar areas attracted to the sweet drinks. The hotel did put smokers out to calm the bees and they didn't bother us. We didn't like the wasps and I think the hotel could have done more to eradicate these as my husband found the nest. Yes you will need plenty of mosquito repellant we were all bitten quite a lot! Beach - very small shingle beach, we didn't use very much as the kids liked to be by the pool but they did try fishing off the small pier. Children - this is a busy family resort with lots of kids!! We had a 10 and 12 year old. My 10 year old son didn't engage with the kids clubs but still found loads to do and easily made friends. He played football, table tennis and the poolside games and if course played in the pool. My 12 year old daughter found that she was too old for the kids games etc but too young for the adult ones. This could be something Thomson consider for the 12-15 age range, the really need to engage with the 'teens'. I felt this would have improved her holiday and helped her to make friends. If you don't want to be around lots of children this is not the resort for you! It is a very family orientated resort!! Sun beds - there were always plenty of sun beds. It was so nice to go to a resort where you didn't have to get up at 5 to put towels down. If you wandered down around 8 you could always find some. Entertainment - the Thomson team worked really hard and the standard of the entertainment was very Saturday night family friendly with lots of adult participation required. There was the usual Greek night which we did enjoy and my daughter and husband got up to dance, and circus acts/acrobats. We also liked the lobby bar later with the snacks and cocktails, I think the hotel has missed an opportunity here to have a live singer in the evenings after the amphitheatre show or for those people who want something quieter. Arrivals/departures - we did arrive at 12:30ish and our room wasn't ready. This was a little frustrating as the children really just wanted to get in the pool and relax. But by the time we had had lunch and a drink it was sorted so we did get some time in the sun in our first day. We were checked in quickly and efficiently though. Check out was also quick and efficient. However Corfu airport on departure was a nightmare, we had to queue in the sun for at least an hour outside, then again inside and only just made it to the gate as they were boarding our flight. So no time for a drink or duty free shopping. The Thomson team at the airport though were very good and helpful and the exit meeting did explain about the airport. Rooms - we opted for a room without a sliding door. We booked a sea view and were not disappointed. There was plenty of storage and the rooms were a good size with the usual kettle, hair dryer, etc. I would say the quality of the bed linen was not the best though. But still it was very clean, and the rooms cleaned daily. Must dos - Muri restaurant, visit Corfu old town and a boat trip. If you were to ask if we would book this hotel again we would seriously consider it especially if they go ahead with the planned aqua park on site and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to families with younger children. Good hotel -with a few alterations it could be great
My family and I recently stayed at this hotel in August 2014 for a week. The hotel has a lot of appeal in its location. Set in lush grounds, and amazing sea views. Our room looked over the marina and I often found myself checking to see which cruise liner was in for the day. There is a cute little shingle beach and gently shelving waters perfect when you have little ones that don't want to get too out of their depth. The sunset there at 9pm is also out if this world. The food is very good and the hall is well managed even in busy periods. There is a brand new pool opened in 2014 which is very nice. The things which let it down are the general cleanliness of the hotel. We had a problem with ants in our room which even ended up in our bed. My son dropped a toy which went under his bed and I was horrified to see all the dust debris loom bands etc under there. Not pleasant. The other problem is the layout of the rooms are off a corridor. This can be very noisy at times with people up and down the hallways. All in all a good hotel set in a beautiful location which could be great with a few alterations.More

Had a wonderful stay here on our holiday back in may, the staff where friendly, helpful and funny, rooms where clean with fresh bottles water daily in our room and the little restaurant inside is spot on, which was a nice difference from eatting the bog standard all inclusive hotel food, defiantly will be returning next year!!More
Great return visit
After a good break at Kerkyra Golf last year (2013) We decided to return again. A massive investment over the winter was resulted in a great new pool area using up what was an under utilised lawn. Top service from the staff there, good food (and wine) and not one "I'm bored" heard from our kids. Will we return next year...... Almost certainly !More

Asbolutely brilliant holiday!
We returned from Corfu last Friday the 22nd August where we spent 2 weeks at the Louis Family/Kerkyra Golf. First of all this is a 4* hotel and you get what is expected from a 4* hotel, not what you would find in a 5*. Rooms were functional enough, in fact I don't think I have ever found so much clothes storage for a family like at the Louis Family. Beds were hard, maybe the pillows were worse than mattress but we survived. If you are a fussy sleeper take your own pillow :-) Cleaning in our room was basic I have to say, it could have been better in my opinion in particular dusting the floor and wiping with the mop more often (or sweep on the balcony too) but overall it was an acceptable level of cleaning. Foodwise, there was plenty of choice and it was all lovely. Rich food sometimes, I was prepared for the fact that I wouldnât be able to diet while I was there and I love trying new dishes anyway! Kids were happy with that too! Lunch at the pool after 1pm was lovely, pizzas were superb! Lots of salad choices and best American pancakes (available also at the pool every day between 4pm and 5pm) Sunbeds: sadly, unless you go early and reserve your beds by putting towels on you will find very little around the pools after 10am. This is something the hotel should look at and improve. There is a mention in the welcome package from the hotel not to reserve the sunbeds before 7.30am but this is ignored by people and certainly nobody would (could) enforce the rule! On our first full day we were up late due to travelling the day before and struggled to find sunbeds. As a result, we ended up having to wake up early (630am) every morning to guarantee some space for our family â as much as we didnât like it we felt we had no choice. With young children and very hot weather we needed an umbrella near the pool to be able to keep an eye on the kids in the water. So, I think the hotel management would benefit from a re-evaluation of how to ensure reasonable/fair access to sunbeds. You have 2 main pools there and both had lifeguard on duty the whole time who also provided first aid! We found this to be very reassuring and the kids also. Aqua-gym every morning at 1130 with a great trainer and lots of fun with Thomson staff joining in. There are mosquitos but being a hot country you go prepared with mosquito repellent. The wasps were quite bad, too many! Although things improved a little when they started burning some coffee at the bar to keep them away. I canât say what can be done, I would suggest to look for the cause. The Thomson staff were amazing. I have never found such hardworking people working long hours like they do, very friendly and so talented! Their shows were incredible and really funny! The kids had a great time at the kids club (we have a 7 years old girl and a 9 years old boy). The clubs were only on for 2 hours a day for each age group (apart from Wednesday when itâs the kids club staff day off) but there were always games and activities on around the pool or grass area, other tournaments like darts, football, tennis tables etc so we were quite lucky if our kids actually spent any time with us! The kids club also had extra kids sessions from 7pm till 9pm at least 2/3 times a week so me and hubby managed to have a quiet dinner at the Asian/Japanese restaurant a la carte in the hotel whilst kids had fun Chocolate party was â¬5 per child. The kids loved it but be prepared they come out very messy so bring clothes with you that are easy to wash, crocs are always essential as they won't be able to go with flip flop. Others evening events like show prep, bowling were free. So really good!! The staff at the Reception were extremely helpful! My daughter got ill with an ear infection on a Greek bank holiday and thanks to the hotel staff I managed to get a doctor to visit my daughter within 2 hours. We were touched by the concern shown by all the staff. The hotel is only short distance from the airport â which is a bonus after the journey from the UK and a very early flight. You go through Corfu town which is extremely busy but then you get to the Louis Family hotel you immediately change scenery and you are in a very peaceful place away from the busy capital. Although you see planes occasionally leaving the airport and as you are close to the Harbour there are cruise ships, we didnât find this to be in any way noisy or disturbing. If you need supermarkets walk out of the hotel and within 5 minutes on your left there is one very good plus a bazar. Opposite side of the road a Lidl and a Chinese shop with nice shoes too! Roads are very busy and I would suggest you go early morning as after 10am it can be very hot! All the hotel's outdoor areas are kept immaculately clean, saw staff cleaning late night and early morning, washing the pool area with jet wash too! Wi-fii is only available intermittently in the lobby area. I only needed a couple of times and it was fine depending on the time of the day (avoid evenings as full of people trying to access the internet!) Donât be put off by negative reviews. GO and enjoy! Good value for money and a very pleasant package altogether! It was lovely to see similar reviews from people who were there at the same time as us, i.e. charity event and poor Apple Pie Amy being gunged :-)More
