Louis Family Resort

The Louis Family Resort is perfect for a family break. It’s wrapped in acres of gardens, so you’ve got plenty of space to spread out. There’s a figure-of-eight swimming pool, plus another lagoon-style number. What’s more, the hotel is right next to a little shingle beach, which means you’ve got the Ionian Sea right on your doorstep.

In terms of things to do, there’s everything from aqua aerobics to tennis on the agenda. And, because the hotel is part of our Thomson Family Resorts range, children are well catered for thanks to things like a Thomson Kids’ Club and a crèche.

Food-wise, meals here are help-yourself affairs. Lunch is offered up by the pool, so you don’t need to move far from your lounger. Breakfast and dinner, meanwhile, are served in the main restaurant. It opens out onto a wide veranda, so you can eat al fresco. In the evenings, themed dinners are among your options.

Great hotel for families.

My husband and I and our 3 year old daughter travelled here in May 2013 (sorry for the late review) and it was amazing. The staff are lovely and friendly and were alway on hand to help when needed even through the night when my daughter was unwell. The hotel is clean and tidy and there are lots of things for families to do. The food is good and there was a good mix of things prepared each night, with different themes i.e greek night, japanese night, etc. Lots of food and snacks on offer throughout the course of the day. The drinks were local but i thought they were fine. The kids club and reps were fab and I couldnt fault them they kept my daughter entertained for the week. The night time entertainment from outside acts was quite poor though and could be better. The pool is a little on the small side and although it says everywhere u cant reserve sunbeds every day when we went down to the pool it was the same families who had all the beds as they had left towels on them from 6am. Granted there isnt much around the hotel but Gouvia and corfu town are only a short bus journey away. This is cheap and the locals were always very friendly in offering my daughter a seat and at giving directions when needed. We had lunch inGouvia and Corfu 2 of the days just for a change and to experiene the local cuisine. The hotel has a beautiful view of the ocean and marina and looks onto the small peebley beach right outside. All in all a great family holiday if you want to just chill at the hotel. I would go back again the only thing stopping me this year is that it has gone up in price slightly.More

Great family holiday...

Me and my family and in-laws stayed here in may 2013 and had a fabulous time...I have 3 sons who totally loved it they always had something to do from football to tennis to quizzes there was never a dull moment. The food was lovely and there was always plenty off it too...there was self service drinks and ice-cream all day for the kids...the pool was a little small but as I understand there getting a new one built but it done us fine. Corfu town was just a cheap short bus ride away, the bus stop was just at the end of the drive. The views were beautiful would recommend getting a room with sea views. It was also only a short coach ride from the airport to that was great for the kids. Wel will definitely be returning here a some point...the entertainment staff get a huge thumbs up too...More

very good hotel

Very good hotel with excellent size rooms. lots of kids activities throughout. Always plenty of good quality food available my favourite was the bbq and pizza around the pool every lunch. Washed down with a nice cold beer from one of the self serve pumps. Only criticism is the complex doesn't have much to do around it unless you get a taxi or walk for 40 minutes to corfu townMore

Best Hotel I've been to

Me my sisters and parents went here last year and was the best we've been to. It consisted tennis courts, a private beach, a swimming pool and a kids club run by Thomson and there's another club by the hotel. The staff was brilliant and the room was brilliant. I would recommend this to anyone.More

A Very Good & Friendly Hotel.

My Wife, Sister, Brother in Law and I stayed at this Hotel in June 2013 for the 12th time. My Wife and I returned in September and the 4 of us are returning again in June 2014. You are all assured of a very warm welcome from Mr George Chrysikopoulos , the General Manager and all his exceptionally friendly Staff. Mr. George and his Staff are always on hand to deal directly with any enquiries or problems Quests may have. We have never experienced a problem with dogs at this Hotel, unlike other Hotels we have visited. We always find the Hotel, Rooms and Grounds are exceptionally clean. The Rooms are large and include :- Air Conditioning, Fridge, Flat Screen T.V., Hair Dryer, Safe (Daily charge made for this), Tea, Coffee (additional items are available at all the Bars, Bottled Water, additional Beds are Beds and not Camp Beds which you would normally find in holiday Hotel. Beach Towels are available from Reception before 18-00hrs each day, a refundable deposit of 10 Euro is required for each towel and they can be changed every other day. It is a large Hotel, but there is plenty of room within the grounds to obtain a nice area to rest or by the nice secluded sandy beach at the far end of the grounds or you can join in with the activities around the pool. A very good standard and selection of food and drinks are available all day, both in the Restaurants and in the Bar Areas, all in keeping for a Hotel with a 4 Star Rating. There is a very nice facility for babies off Reception, a room for sterilising and making up bottles and a Microwave for food preparation. There are not many shops in the area, but the Town of Corfu is only a short bus ride away. We use the long Hotel Drive for our walks, (the areas to each side of the Drive don’t belong to the Hotel), turn left at the gate, go over the River and there is a large Supermarket which sells everything you may need. It is also nice to see the Cruise Ships coming and going in to Corfu from the Hotel grounds. Sea View Rooms offer a wonderful view around and across the bay to the mainland of Greece and Albania, they also offer you a welcoming shade on the balcony after a hot day sun bathing. This Season the new Asian Restaurant should be available in the evening? I understand the Construction of the new Pool, situated in the area opposite to the Main Restaurant, is well under way and is on Schedule to be opened for this new Season. A long awaited new facility.More
