The Louis Family Resort is perfect for a family break. It’s wrapped in acres of gardens, so you’ve got plenty of space to spread out. There’s a figure-of-eight swimming pool, plus another lagoon-style number. What’s more, the hotel is right next to a little shingle beach, which means you’ve got the Ionian Sea right on your doorstep.
In terms of things to do, there’s everything from aqua aerobics to tennis on the agenda. And, because the hotel is part of our Thomson Family Resorts range, children are well catered for thanks to things like a Thomson Kids’ Club and a crèche.
Food-wise, meals here are help-yourself affairs. Lunch is offered up by the pool, so you don’t need to move far from your lounger. Breakfast and dinner, meanwhile, are served in the main restaurant. It opens out onto a wide veranda, so you can eat al fresco. In the evenings, themed dinners are among your options.

Have already booked again for next year
Stayed here in August 2013, for 2 weeks with the family. Having read all the reviews I did feel there were some valid comments re the Pool size and the smell in the poolside toilets. But on the plus side the staff were all very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Some comments regarding the food in the restaurants mentioned that it was repetitive. That may have been the case over the 2 week period but the vast array of dishes was fantastic and there was certainly plenty to choose from with the themed nights and cooking station manned by chefs. The rooms were clean and well laid out and there was plenty of room for a family of four with the children being accommodated on proper single beds and not sofa/put me up beds. New for 2014 a new pool is being built in addition to the 2 pools they already have which has prompted us to book for next year. It is rumoured it will be waiter service (which for all inclusive is great) and there will be a swim up section. There will also be a new restaurant but I don't know if there will be restrictions on all inclusive guests.More

2nd time this year - Just as good as the 1st time!
This is my second time staying In Corfu at the Louis Kerkyra Golf this year. My family and I first stayed in May the first week of the season for 1 week and returned again in October at the end of season for 2 weeks. As before I can not rate the staff highly enough - they are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Every request was dealt with efficiently and politely. The Thomson reps were also great, always around if you needed any help or had any questions, my daughter required a doctor and Ben sorted it out within a few mins and the Doctor arrived an hour later. The animation team were great - Handy Andy, Em n Ems and Tickly Tash are great with the children and were always so friendly and energetic, even in the last week when there were only a handful of children left, they still were as good as when there were dozens! In May I had a family sea view room which was great, large clean and lots of storage, this time I had a family sea view room with sliding doors which was perfect as our daughter was that bit older, it provided a bit of privacy. As with the room we had in May it was lovely and large with ample storage and we were greeted with sparkling wine and a fruit platter for our anniversary which was lovely. The sea view rooms are well worth the upgrade, I am not one to spend alot of time in the room on holidays, but waking up to that beautiful view each morning was spectacular. I also saw some pretty stunning thunderstorms over the sea too at night! The cleaning staff were also great, our room was cleaned thoroughly daily and plenty of fresh towels left as well as bottle of water. The tea and coffee were also topped up daily (each room has tea and coffee making facilities). There is a toddler and baby room downstairs that I did not have to use but it has changing facilities, a cot, kettle, bottle warmer and steriliser which would be very handy if you had a baby with you to save you from having to go all the way back to your room. The beach is a smallish strip but the sea is clear, warm and shallow for a very long way out - which makes it perfect for children. My daughter loved it. I swam in the several times as I did in May and there were no Jellyfish but there plenty of fish to see snorkeling or to feed bread too - again an activity my daughter delighted in! The food was plentiful and varied as it was back in May, as was the drinks menu This is a lovely family hotel, I generally do not return to places, but I did return here twice in 6 months so that is a statement to how good it is in itself! I would take the bad reviews on here with a pinch of salt, I have high standards, having stayed in 5* hotels, and this is a good 4*. It isn't in a resort but its a 5 min cab ride to Corfu town and there is also a bus stop right outside the hotel that takes you all over the beautiful North of Corfu. From the same stop you can go to dozens of places but 3 I would recommend are Kassiopi, Sidari and Paleokastritsa, Corfu is a beautiful Island so make sure you go out and explore - its well worth it.More

we booked with thomsons,on their site this hotel is called thomson family resort, which can be confusing when reviewing.we flew from leeds bradford, flight on time and comfortable but on arriving in corfu for what was supposed to be a fifteen minute transfer we were kept waitingon the bus for one hour and twenty minutes with reps giving varied excuses,i asked the driver why he could not takes us and come back for passengers from the delayed flight he said the reps would not allow this.on arrival at the hotel we were greeted with big smiles and check in was quick and efficient.room was quite large with plenty of storage space very clean and a sea veiw.the facilities were quite good,i understand there will be a new pool for next season.being an older couple we were slightly worried about this being a family resort but there are plenty of quiet places both indoors and out.the food was plentiful and varied and it was nice to see regular temperature checks carried out by the staff.entertainment was what we expected, average for all inclusive.overall it was a very pleasant stay(weather was not so good).i would like to commend the pilots on our return journey who managed to land at corfu when other flights were being diverted.one tip for those who like to walk,if you take the port road into town be aware that there is traffic sign across the footpath that is only about five foot eight inches above the ground as i painfully learned,i reported this to a rep to see if the hotel could inform the local authorities.More
not so bad
Was concerned about this hotel after reading some previous reviews but decided to visit and make my own mind up. Must admit I stayed the last week of the holiday season so the guest numbers were only about 1/10th of the hotels capacity. Hotel itself felt very spacious both inside and out. The room I was allocated was large, clean, plenty of storage space and firm bed, fridge and TV (showing itv and bbc channels), added bonus of free air conditioning, looked out across the sea, beautiful view, where fishing boats and liners passed by. Rooms cleaned , towels changed, fresh bottle of water, tea coffee ,milk restocked every day. The ladies responsible for the cleaning were always very cheerful and polite. Outside pool on small side but new one being made for next season. Beach is not very wide which could be a disappointment for some, but again the surrounding space and views make up for it. Up until the end the food was plentiful but I felt not as high standard as the other Louis hotels I have visited, felt the restaurant lacked the guidance of a strong manager, being a family hotel should not make any difference to the Louis group standards. A lot of activities appeared available for children, and plenty of Thompson reps around to keep them amused. If you want to venture out of the hotel once you get to the end of the drive you can turn left and walk into Corfu town along the port road which takes about 50 minutes, or turn right out of the drive and walk towards Gouvia and its marina, again around about 50 minutes both depending on what speed you walk. Failing that jump on a bus , there are bus stops on the road outside the hotel drive. Would I return to this hotel ? yes, good one for the grandchildren , already checking the prices for next yearMore
Not for us
We have just returned from a weeks holiday Bedroom could not fault it immaculately clean double bed was kingsize really comfortable also bathroom very nice kept lovely and clean. Room was cool at times would have liked to have heating on but were told not possible to have heating on in room offered us another blanket but room already had three spare so used these. The day we arrived noticed glasses and dishes at the end of the corridor on a ledge pile of dishes got bigger and bigger and not moved until our last day by this time the glasses were full of flies . Found the cleanliness of the rest of the hotel very hitty missy food on dining room floor at breakfast time from the night before glasses left on tables for ages certainly not what you would expect from 4 star hotel. The food was not to our taste breakfast okay but strange concoctions for evening meal but worst of all was the food served outside nothing was covered no lids breeding place for flies and wasps. They were crawling all over the food how no one was stung in the mouth we will never no.We have been to Corfu at least 20 times and love greek food but the food here didn't resemble anything we have had before. The good point of the hotel was the entertainments team who were excellent. We would definately not return to this hotelMore
