Flanked by acres of greenery and right on the beach, the Louis Family Resort showcases the best of Corfu’s scenery.
The Louis Family Resort is in a great spot for families. It’s set in spacious gardens, which means you’ve got room to stretch out. On top of that, you’re only ever steps from a small shingle beach.
Outside there are 3 pools. In terms of where to eat and drink, you’ve got a buffet place and an Asian à la carte. This hotel is part of our Thomson Family Resorts range, too, so there’s plenty on offer for children.
Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Locally produced alcoholic and soft drinks, tea, coffee and filtered water 10.00-24.00.
Snacks between meals 10.00-23.00, picnics - on request the day before and ice-cream for kids 10.00-18.00.
Offering breakfast and dinner, with an open terrace during the evening for some al fresco dining. Theme nights are also on the agenda several times a week. Lunch is offered by the pool so you don't have to risk losing your sunlounger whilst getting a bite to eat.
This curvy number is lined with sunbeds and in easy reach of the pool snack bar.
Thomson Kids' Club
Designed for 3 to 11 year olds, Thomson Kids’ Club offers 2 hours of activities, 5 or 6 days a week. And that includes at least 3 evenings. It’s split into sections, with Tots for 3 to 5 year olds, Team for 6 to 8s, and Tribe for 9 to 11s. Best of all, most kids’ clubs activities are completely free. And outside of peak season, there are parent and toddler sessions 3 days a week, too. For your peace of mind, all Thomson Kids’ Club staff have advance DBS checks and hold NVQ Level 2 childcare qualifications. They’re First Aid trained, and there’ll be at least 2 of them on duty at all times.

Just back from 7 night all inclusive holiday with my wife. We found the location to be fantastic, being just a short bus ride from Corfu town and still peaceful and quiet on the seas edge. The choice of food was great and everyday had a different theme so we didn't get bored. There is also an unusually large choice of vegetarian options and the children had there own server so they could help themselves without having to fight the adults. I can't comment on the animation as we just sat away from the pool area by the sea, but the Thomson team were always getting the kids involved in something. I would recommend this place to couples of all ages and families.More

Fantastic hotel for families
This was our first experience of an all inclusive holiday, first time with Thomson and first time travelling abroad with a young child (14 months). We wanted the best we could get for a relatively small cost and as easy a holiday as possible. We couldn't have asked for more!
We stayed 2nd week in October and enjoyed 25 degree sunshine every day. There had been storms the previous week and a few parts of the hotel grounds had suffered flooding/water logging and there was a very occasional smell in the afternoon, but I understand Greek drainage is a common problem and it did not affect our stay.
I do not agree that the place is in need of renovating. Our room was lovely and the photos on the Thomson and Louis site are completely accurate. We have stayed in luxury hotels across the world and, certainly for he cost of this hotel, we were very impressed.
In our experience the food was excellent and varied - a little rich for me and as you would expect buffet-style some dishes were better than others, but there was plenty of it - salad bar, fresh bread, fruit, desserts as well as a range of hot dishes and children's food. The snack bar was a bit hit and miss - often not open until 1pm despite advertising 12. The only issue we had with the food was the timing. Whilst food was available somewhere most of the day, we really struggled with the timings for our little one - 12.30 for lunch and 6.30 for dinner was just a little too late. I noticed there was a queue each day of people with small kids on the brink of a tantrum waiting for the restaurant to open so it would be great if the hours were adjusted, or the kids food bar open earlier or elsewhere. We tried doing the tea time feed from the snack bar at 5.30pm but it tended to be burger and chips or sandwiches that had been there some time.
We used the Thomson crèche on site and were really impressed with the professional set up and the staff were fantastic, it gave us a lovely couple of hours off that we didn't expect!
The Asian restaurant is fantastic and well worth a visit, it also gave a totally different feel to the buffet restaurant.
We were staying during the sickness bug and my daughter did have one day of sickness and diarrhoea. The staff were excellent - offering to get a doctor immediately (not necessary) and sent someone to disinfect our room. I do not believe it had anything to do with food or cleanliness - we found the hotel to be exceptionally clean. I saw the army of cleaners at 6am each day (up early with baby) and any food was cleared away from tables (and the floor!) within minutes. Hand sanitisers were everywhere and bottled water in the rooms. We didn't have any experience of any uncleanliness.
I spoke to at least two people who said they or their children had been sick before coming on holiday - I would expect a bug to travel quickly in a resort where everyone dines and swims in the same space and it is unfortunate. We were also surprised that when we told the crèche our daughter wouldn't be in due to her being sick the previous day they were surprised and grateful that we had told them - it would seem many people carry on regardless, so hardly a surprise it spreads! That said, my only criticism would be that it would have been helpful foe the reps to be more upfront about the bug going around as we only heard via third parties.
The hotel is really close to corfu town and the bus goes from right outside the hotel. We had a lovely day out in Corfu town. Beyond that you'd need to hire a car or go on organised trips as it is not really close to other sites. There is a Lidl supermarket a few mins walk away though which is handy.
This is a family resort and very much publicised as such. It is excellent for kids of all ages with a kids pool, soft play, play area and fantastic kids clubs/entertainment. We were surprised so many people were there without kids as it is so child-focused. But if you are looking for a lazy holiday, fuss free with children I really cannot fault it and would definately recommend this, I'm keen to now visit other Louis resorts too!More

My wife and 2 year old daughter loved this place as much as I. It is clean, well laid out, pretty and welcoming.
The food is varied, plentiful and almost too nice (weight watchers beware) salads, meat, local dishes and also a to die for Asian al a carte make for good times! The deputy food and beverage manager was a smashing guy, who patrolled the main restaurant and really did ensure that eating there was a pleasure. This does not even begin to mention the pool bar and restaurant where lunch was delightful too (salads, pizza, burgers, gyros)
The bars are spotless and the staff there are lovely (nikos + giannis especially).
The entertainment from thomsons and the local Louis team was just what my daughter wanted, and it made for a lovely evening and daytime every day bar none. The creche team were delightful and we only regret we left it so late in our stay to use it the one time we did...once more our little one loved it, real value for money. Lots of other families were very satisfied with the inclusive thomsons kids club and had trouble getting the 3-11 yr olds out of there! The grounds of the hotel are immaculate and the beach, albeit narrow, is lovely and clear...feeding the shoals of fish and hiring a pedalo...magic. also snorkellling is a must, with waters crystal clear, and showers for your return to the (cold!) Immaculate pool!
Lots of repeat punters there, says it all. Thanks to George the manager, and of course thomson the dog, lovely place great hols!
More needs to be done!
Whilst I realise this is a review of the hotel I feel I should mention the transfer from the airport to the hotel was very slow as we had to wait for other planes from different locations to join our bus before departing for the hotel. On arrival checking in was very slow and more reception staff would have eased the problem. During our stay both myself and partner were ill with sickness and diarrhoea spending 4 days of our holiday in our room. There were obvisously a number of other guests affected by this but it appeared to be wholly played down by the holiday reps and hotel staff. I was after asking provided with extra cleaning materials to disinfect our bathroom myself. Outside there was a smell of sewage, I would suspect a lot more needs to be done and serious consideration given to effective infection control measures in the hotel. The holiday reps need to be far more honest and not underplay the situation.
That said the hotel staff were excellent and very helpful always polite and willing to help, the pools were great but the noise and continous amplified pop music off putting. At night the bar area was to small to cope with the number of guests and the entertainment average and repetitive. Most evenings the stairwells were full of screaming kids playing the noise echoing along corridors.
On the whole i was satisfied with the food provided plenty on offer throughout the day but again concerned about hygiene as everything is self service eg serving spoons, french bread, drinks dispensers etc been handled by several hundred guests at each service no cross contamination control whatsoever!
Until the issues mentioned above are dealt with I could not reccomend this hotel. Which is a shame as it has the potential to be a fantastic holiday destination.More

I must say I was sceptical, having heard about many all inclusive hotels, but this was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and the food was excellent. A wide variety of food on offer with various themes, good quality and tasty.
The wifi was poor but that's a minor issue. My only real disappointment was the lack of a small gym.
I can highly recommend this hotel.More
