Restia Suites  

For romance and relaxation you can't beat the Restia Suites. A collection of secluded suites with en suite spa bathrooms, it's the perfect escape. And just because it's in a tranquil spot, doesn't mean it's off the beaten track. Almyros Beach is on the doorstep, so expect spectacular views of the sea and over to Albania. Plus the Venetian village of Perithia is an easy walk away for shops and restaurants. Or for a little more life, you can catch the hotel's shuttle bus into Acharavi.

You probably won't want to leave the Restia too often though. Tucked away in private gardens, the suites here are worth the stay alone. Spacious and stylish, they're decorated in natural earthy tones and come dressed with modern four-poster beds, trendy sofas and private terraces. They also have TVs, on-demand movies and minibars. The bathrooms are a big highlight, too. Spa-like sanctuaries, they have steam showers and hydro-massage tubs for two. And for something really special, you can upgrade to a VIP suite with a private pool.

When you're not hiding away in your suite, the Restia has plenty on offer. At the heart of the grounds is the pool, which has hydro-massage jets. Bordered by a peaceful terrace dotted with loungers and parasols, it's the ultimate chill-out space. Just to the side is the open-air Ammos Restaurant, which serves buffet breakfasts and Greek gourmet meals. There's also the swish Ciel Restaurant, which specialises in seafood. And activities-wise, there's a tennis court and a fitness centre complete with a gym, sauna and spa.
