An introduction to Villa Pia
Villa Pia is something of a haven, yet one in which the proximity to the natural beauties of Corsica is never forgotten. The villa is found in the little hamlet of Bocca dell'Oro, just a few kilometres from Porto Vecchio's deservedly famous beaches, Palombaggia and Santa Giulia. From this superb location you can enjoy splendid views both to the sea (just 2km below) and up to the mountains.
Built by the owner just 3 years ago, a modern approach has been taken with regards to the decoration of this property, with white walls and tiled flooring. The bright, open-plan layout is spacious and airy. The bedrooms are in a similar style to the rest of the villa, each with their own distinctive personality. Meal times are a treat with a large air-conditioned living space and dining room, or you can eat al fresco on the large tiled terrace. A swimming pool sits next to the terrace, which is in a perfect position to enjoy the amazing panoramic view. This idyllic spot offers a chance for real relaxation.
Just 300 metres from the villa is an excellent pizzeria/restaurant, 'Le Restaurant Bocca d'Orru, serving lunch and dinner. The menu promises inventive food full of different flavours, for lunch and dinner, in a wonderful traditional atmosphere.
The beautiful white sands and turquoise waters of Santa Giulia beach are close by, as is Palombaggia beach. Both have the trademarks of a Caribbean beach, but the scent of the pines which fringe the sand is a hallmark of the Mediterranean. Palombaggia has one of the best beaches in all of Corsica, especially for families. Small children are able to splash around in the shallow waters and there are watersports- kitesurfing, windsurfing, kayaking - for the older ones. If you're on the beach you must pay a visit to the log-cabin style beach restaurant, Tamaricciu. With a teak deck and wooden furniture, it's the perfect place for a lazy lunch.
