Tennis, squash, bicycles and keep-fit classes can all be enjoyed at no extra cost and the superb Sperone Golf Course near Bonifacio is just a 40 minute drive away, as are the spectacular mountains behind Porto Vecchio, where the hotel organises hikes, so you can return home not just tanned, but healthy. For extra self indulgence, the hotel also offers a fitness centre.
As with the decor, the Cala Rossa's hallmark when it comes to cuisine is a cultured mix of the simple and the sophisticated. Only the finest fresh ingredients are used: olive oil and basil from the fields, lamb and kid from the mountains and fish from the sea. The inspiration is Mediterranean, the hospitality Corsican and whether dining outside, with the moon and starlight filtering through the canopy of pines, or in the chic dining room, the gastronomic pleasures are matched by unfaltering service and splendid wines. The Cala Rossa has one of Corsica's best cellars, as well as a prize-winning sommelier and virtually all of the island's finest wines can be tasted here in perfect condition.
