Picadel

Set high on the hillside, this pretty villa enjoys fantastic views out over the stunning bay of Porto Vecchio. Its hillside location means it's not overlooked, giving it a private getaway from it all feel. Another great bonus of being high up is that even in the heat of midsummer you are kept reasonably cool by a very gentle breeze.
The villa itself has a cool and airy feel, courtesy of its open plan layout, plain white walls and bright white floor tiles. The dining area easily seats six guests at its smart glass table, plus patio doors open out from this room onto the terrace. Here you'll find a barbeque and another table and chairs set for relaxed al fresco cooking and dining. Back inside, the living room features a spacious black leather corner sofa, providing an excellent post-dinner chill out spot. From the comfort of the sofa you can choose to watch television, a DVD or listen to the CD player. From the dining area you can take the stairs up to the mezzanine area and bedrooms, which feature low ceilings displaying traditional style bare wooden beams.
Lazy days can be enjoyed around the inviting pool area. This is a new addition to the property so it looks particularly pristine. A selection of loungers surround the pool, which can be positioned for catching the sun or put in a shady spot under one of the nearby trees. The pool is big enough to indulge in a few leisurely laps, but more enticing is floating by the edge where the water cascades over the side as you look out onto the stunning coastline – pure bliss. Another popular spot is the bougainvillea-clad balcony, from where you can get further glorious views of the villa's garden and the coast beyond.
