La Bergerie

Villas with private pools within a short drive of the beaches of the Valinco Gulf are an extremely valuable commodity in Corsica and we are delighted to offer two of them here. Nestled peacefully on the hillside above the Valinco Gulf, La Bergerie and Villa Marion are ideally placed to allow you to enjoy the fantastic sandy beaches that abound along this beautiful stretch of coastline, with the attractions of Propriano just an easy car journey away on the other side of the bay. La Bergerie is a former shepherd's hut which has been converted and extended into a four-bedroom house keeping the original stone worked walls. Decorated in a relaxed summer style with a white-washed interior with wooden beamed ceiling and terracotta floors, the house is comfortable and has all the mod cons you need for a family holiday. The oval pool is reached by a dozen or so stone steps down from the house. It is partially fenced so as not to spoil the delightful view over the maquis-carpeted hillside and sparkling sea beyond. From the living-dining-kitchen area the French windows open onto a covered terrace where an olive tree provides additional shade for those wanting it. The second terrace with sunloungers is where the sun-worshippers will no doubt spend their days.

The owners of Villa Marion and La Bergerie, Joseph Domenichine and his family, live on this same hillside with their dogs. They will be on hand if required, but otherwise will leave guests staying at their properties in peace to enjoy their holiday.
