If 'rural location' tops your villa wish list, then you'll love this place. It's tucked in a lovely spot in the countryside, with a view of Montegrosso mountain. 'Peace' and 'quiet' are definitely the watchwords here. But that's not to say it's isolated. Far from it. It's just a 20 minute drive down to Calvi where you've got plenty in the way of restaurants, bars and shops. Not to mention a sandy beach.

The villa itself is only a few years old but has been built in traditional Corsican style. In fact, the use of wood and stone gives it an almost farmhouse-like feel. Of course, the focal point of the property is the pool terrace. Wood decking, cushioned sun-loungers and a trendy bar-come-banquette frame the infinity pool which looks out across the hills.

Inside, it's just as impressive. The talking point's undoubtedly the exotic indoor garden just inside the hall. Elsewhere, parlour palms, batik prints and African objets d'art give the place an almost French colonial feel. And the living room makes the most of those stellar views, too. Plus it's got a lovely open fireplace not to mention a flat screen TV.

Talking of mod cons the main bedroom and living area are air conditioned and there is even an electric barbeque in the kitchen - so not only does this villa have the looks, it has everything you could need for a hassle-free break too. Size-wise, it can sleep up to eight people. There's a separate outhouse with two bedrooms which share a bathroom. There's a bedroom downstairs in the main house with a private shower and bath.

Upstairs you'll find the master bedroom which comes with its own bathroom and terrace. With space for everyone, the Villa Plein Soleil is a great choice whether you're going away with the extended family or with a group of friends.
