Casa Oleanda comprises a dozen cottages and apartments scattered in a lush 'Garden of Eden' which receives tender loving and round-the-clock care from the owner, Monsieur Cardi, keeping the lawns emerald green, the colourful flowers abundant and the palms, vines, fruits and vegetables prolific. His Austrian wife insists upon scrupulous cleanliness and good order, so the accommodation, although quite simply furnished, is spotless, comfortable and immaculately maintained.
Casa Oleanda's tranquil ambience makes the splendid terrace a very relaxing spot, and the luxuriance of the gardens ensures that the privacy of each cottage's patio is maintained. Swimming is discouraged during siesta time, as Monsieur Cardi guards the snoozing tradition by using the time to clean the pool.
So secluded is the atmosphere that it is hard to believe that the centre of Calvi is under two kilometres away and the superb sandy beach just 800 metres. Casa Oleanda is a quiet, verdant sanctuary within easy reach of activity and on the doorstep of an area of spectacular natural beauty.
