No car horns, no traffic, just the sound of gentle waves and the chirping of birds above. It doesn't get any better.
Inside this rustic villa there's a real sense of traditional style but with a splash of contemporary furnishing. Cool tiled floors and dark wooden doors adorn the open-plan property, with a large fireplace commanding centre stage in the generous living space. Raffia furniture adds to the cottage feel, whilst a modern chandelier adds a touch of class.
On a warm Corsican evening, the huge open windows are a welcome addition to the master bedroom. Opening onto a balcony where you can catch a glimpse of the surrounding woodland and trees as well as the breathtaking sea view.
The breathtaking sight of crystal blue waters contrasting with the green of the beautiful countryside, is just the introduction to Ajaccio. Boasting Corsican architecture as well as a famous military leader, the town features a fascinating blend of French and Italian influences. The Bonaparte Museum lets you discover more about the town's most famous resident, while the Fesch Museum contains one of the most important collections of Italian paintings in France. If you have time, you could also sample the wines of the Cincara Valley, or just take a leisurely stroll through the atmospheric streets.
