After touching down in Lapland's capital, you'll be kitted out with all your snow clothes. Then, Santa's elves will take you to your accommodation and you'll have the rest of the day to explore. Head to the city centre to browse the shops and grab a bite to eat, or just relax at your hotel.
Get an action-packed overview of what Rovaniemi has to offer. Try your hand at snowmobiling and enjoy short husky and reindeer sleigh rides in our taster sessions. Plus, one of Santa's elves will share a traditional Lappish tale as you warm up by the fire with a hot berry juice.
Today is yours to spend how you like. Take it easy at your hotel, get to know more of the city, or relive your favourite taster from the previous day by booking a longer snowmobile or husky excursion. You can also sign up for a reindeer safari or visit Lapland's Arctic Wildlife Park.
Rovaniemi's Santa Park is where Santa and his elves spend their days making toys and getting ready for Christmas. The huge underground grotto is made up of fairy-lit walkways, colourful workshops and festive shopping stalls, so there's a lot to explore.

Convenient hotel where you can take a nice walk along the waterfront
Big and convenient hotel. Nice and clean room. The reception was very helpful. Spacious shower place. During our two days stay the restaurant was serving a buffet in the evenings. The food was OK but not more. You can take a very nice walk along the waterfront of the river. Wi-Fi is sometimes a bit slow and not password protected. You can use a computer with a connected printer if you need some printouts. No extra charge for our dog.More
Near the city centre by the river
This hotel is nicely located. The room was comfortable but the hotel is dated. The restaurant was closed for renovations, so a short walk to the Cumulus sister hotel Polar was required for breakfast. The buffet had the usual range you find in Finnish hotels: cold cuts, porridge, bread, bacon, omelette, hard boiled eggs. Note: The Cumulus chain of hotels has recently been bought by the Scandic chain so with any luck the hotel may get a Well overdue overhall/ refurbishment! Wi-Fi kept disappearing.More
The hotel is a bit worn, but the rooms are comfortable and the staff first-rate. They have a nice sitting area and a wonderful breakfast, albeit at another nearby sister hotel as the restaurant is under reconditioning. The location is close enough to all the major sites and 20 minutes on foot from the train station. Would suggest a room on the river side as the afternoon sun is tough and the street noise a bit problematic.More
Good hotel in fine location
The Cumulus Resort Pohjanhovi is located close by the river along which one can enjoy a fine stroll. The room was comfortable and clean. In the restaurant we enjoyed the local speciality of reindeer stew. The breakfast buffet was very good. The hotel is perfectly located for a trip to Santa Claus village and polar circle line. The vivid centre of Rovaniemi has fine restaurants and bars. Also close by is the Arktikum museum which is very worthwhile a visit.More
Old but still quite ok
The hotel is old (which can also be a good thing), but needs some renovation or at least repairing the defects. The service was ok, nothing special. Free parking and good breakfast. Also the Wi-Fi was fast. Good location, very close to the walking street and great restaurants. Could go again, if the price level stays low.More
