After being given your snow clothes at the airport, Santa's elves will take you to your hotel in Levi, Pallas or Yllas. Then, you've got the afternoon free to get a feel for your surroundings. Grab a toboggan and head for the slopes or take a walk through the snowy countryside.
Get a crash course in Lappish culture in this taster session. You can take a short husky sleigh ride, and have a go on a snowmobile. One of Santa's elves will tell you a story around the fire, too. The rest of the day is yours to spend how you fancy - wrap up and play in the snow or relax in the warmth of your hotel.
Cruise through the countryside on a snowmobile, or sit back and relax on a sleigh as huskies or reindeer do the hard work. Or why not book the Snow Village excursion? It includes loads of outdoor activities.
Head to Santa's activity area for a day of festive fun. Try your hand at decorating cookies and making Christmas tree ornaments, take a ride on a reindeer-pulled sleigh, and top your day off with a face-to-face meeting with Santa himself. On a Lapland Explorer trip you'll tuck into a traditional Christmas dinner at the gala meal, too.

Get away weekend went lame :(
We went to Levi with a group of friends. At the first morning we went to breakfest 10:01 a.m and asked if we could get something to eat. They collected all the foods away front of our eyes and laughed.More
Excellent basic hotel
What should be there is there in a very clean perspective. Breakfast is really excellent. If you are in Levi this is for sure a valid alternative. Eventhough we were on the street side; no noice hinder at all was experienced.More
Excellent stay in Levi
We stayed in the Hotel Sirkantahti as a family of five during February half term. Not our first time to Finland (I am half Finnish) but our first time to the Arctic circle. We travelled on a Monarch Package which included a couple of very good excursions to the Snow Village and an Activity centre (taster rides on huskies, snowmobiles etc). Snow suits and boots were provided in the package and were excellent, and the staff in the warehouse provided lots of help in finding the right size. The Sirkantahti is basic but still quite a stylish hotel, the room we had featured three beds up a steep ladder and two downstairs. It was a little small for five of us but we probably brought too many suitcases for just the three nights! The sauna was small but excellent, and beds were comfortable. Very warm at night, we opened the window. We stayed Full board and thoroughly enjoyed the food, which was standard Finnish fare of good quality. Fish, meat, salad, fresh bread etc. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the scrambled eggs in the morning; they had a slightly sweet taste which was a bit too different for our kids! Coffee, tea and juices are provided at mealtimes on the full board package. Levi is close by, a very lovely and compact town with two decent supermarkets. Plenty of souvenir shops selling quality items, many made from wood. Lovely Sami style knives for sale from â¬20 upwards. Beer (for after your sauna) is expensive even in the supermarket but wine in the Alko is reasonable with plenty of options at the â¬7 mark. More
