Absolutely First Class!
I returned from the Louis Ledra on Saturday 3rd June, having spent an absolutely wonderful week there. On arrival we were quite late, however we were met with a welcoming drink and snacks in reception. Once we had registered we were encouraged to visit the restaurant where snacks were provided. Being 'The Queen of Allergies' I assumed (incorrectly) that there would be nothing there for me. As a celiac (with a dairy allergy also) I'm able to eat the usual sandwich and crisps type stuff. How wrong I was! Upon enquiring the lovely Fotini brought me gluten free rolls stuffed with ham and salad and gluten free crisps. Wonderful! Our room was on the ground floor (I wouldn't normally choose a ground floor room), but it was lovely, and perfect for our stay. We were across from the indoor pool which was great for my son who ran across and jumped straight in! The room was clean, bright and had lots of storage space. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was a nice size with a great powerful shower. The following morning when I went into breakfast I was met by Fotini again who brought me gluten and dairy free banana muffins. I was asked if I wanted any soya milk and gluten free cereals or toast!!!! The chef (the lovely Andreas - who i shall talk more about later) came out to meet me and asked me what type of food I like. I told him my favourite is fish and so he said he would cook me something wonderful for lunch! Every time I went into the dining room I was met by a manager who took great pleasure in presenting me with my food. Herodotos was extremely friendly and welcoming and simply could not do enough for us! Always joking and friendly and yet professional..... What can I say about Andreas the Head Chef? He took time every day to ask me what I would like to eat. He created some amazing dishes for me and they were always presented beautifully! I had jacket potatoes wrapped in foil shaped like swans....tempura fried fish (with gluten free flour of course!), fresh baked salmon with vegetables, roast dinner with gluten free gravy, cod, steak, you name it he cooked it for me...... and the cakes!!!!!! I was given a different cake at every single meal! (be prepared to put on weight at this hotel!) All gluten and dairy free. Banana cake, carrot cake, fruit cake....the list is endless. Having travelled quite extensively with both work and for pleasure I have never received such a personal service. Food allergies are a complete nightmare and yet I was not unwell once! (Also unheard of for me!). The food was amazing and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who has dietary requirements and those without. My family (particularly my son) were always happy with the selection and the food was well cooked and always piping hot (hate luke warm food when its been sitting around for a while). Not the case at this hotel at all. The food is prepared in smaller batches and is being constantly replenished by the staff (of which there are plenty). But that's not all......the staff are absolutely amazing. We were served in the restaurant by some wonderful people. A special mention has to go to the lovely Niki! Oh my, that smile just lights up the room. This lady should have wings on her back, she is an absolute angel. Her bubbly and vibrant personality makes her the star of the dining room. Nothing is too much trouble for her. If she sees you move to get something she will bring it for you. She literally floats around the dining room ensuring that the table is always cleared and cleaned, your glasses are always full and you cannot help but smile when in her company. Likewise, Fotini offered us an amazing service. Like Niki she is incredible. She sees everything and I swear she can read minds...you think about having another drink and before you know it, its there! Now lets move to the bar areas. Again, plenty of staff to serve drinks and to bring them to you. The cocktail bar by the pool/beach is run by a wonderful pair of characters, Coco and Chris (amongst others). They are always on hand to make a cocktail, or create one if you can think of something not on the menu. One day we were at the bar (it happened a lot) and we met Christos. He asked us what we would like to drink, and he prepared not just a Pina Colada, but a Cocoa Colada...beautiful! He took the time to ask us about our holiday, what we were enjoying, which staff had we met, were we pleased with our room and did we need anything. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that Christos is the manager of the hotel. He was always on hand for guests. We saw him a lot in the week that we were there as he was very 'present'. He was so approachable and friendly that if we had of had a problem (Which we didn't) we would not have hesitated to go to him. Unlike other hotels we have been to where the management hide away in their offices only to surface for meals! Not Christos. Once he's finished his admin he's walking around the hotel ensuring that everything is running as it should. The pool bar is always well stocked with snacks, cakes, pastries, fruit etc. You name it, you can get it here! The bar in reception was a real pleasant surprise. We've been to all inclusive resorts where you have to queue 10 deep for drinks, not here! There are plenty of waiters and waitresses on hand to take your order. Even on very busy evenings we never waited long for a drink. The lovely Stefanie with her bright and welcoming smile (who also taught my son how to say please and thank you in Bulgarian - many thanks!). There was plenty of entertainment in the evenings too. Admittedly we didn't visit many of the shows outside because we preferred to sit in the reception bar (it was very hot whilst we were there and the aircon was very welcoming). The lobby bar often had singers and entertainers who sang all the old favourites which got you tapping your feet. We saw a couple of weddings while we were there, and although we weren't invited to any we took the time to stand to one side and watch. Each one looked extremely well organized and beautifully arranged. Again I come back to Christos who was always on hand to ensure that things were running smoothly. So if you are planning a wedding there I would say you are in very good hands in this hotel. Now onto childrens entertainment. Having not been to this hotel before I was unsure of how much there would be for my 10 year old to do. I was again pleasantly surprised. You name it, they did it! The children's entertainment team were very very good. Dale and the team would walk around every day explaining the upcoming events for the day. And if children want to join in they can, and equally if they say no then it's not a problem. In truth the team are so popular with the children that they end up like the pied piper with a trail of children behind them. My son played beach volleyball, French bowls, darts, tabletennis.....and the list goes on. He was constantly entertained. And when he wasn't entertained there was the beautiful beach to rest on. The sunbeds are at a good distance from each other, the rocks are nice to have a little wander along, and just across from the Louis Ledra beach area there is a jetty so that you can jump into the sea. The only comment on the beach is that there are rocks so ideally the kids need shoes (bought very cheaply from the hotel shop, or across the road), to avoid hurting their feet. I cannot praise this hotel enough. As beautiful as the surroundings are, the rooms, the grounds, and the general feel of the hotel, nothing can overshadow just how wonderful the staff are. You really feel like you're in a family run hotel. The staff are extremely well chosen, they are all happy and smiling and they go the extra mile to ensure that your stay is a good one. I cannot think of one thing to criticize this hotel. Thank you to Christos and his wonderful team (some of whom ive mentioned) and also those whose names I didn't take. The team behind the scenes, the cleaners, the security, the reception staff and the wonderful team in the kitchen who work for Andreas. Thank you for a fantastic stay. We will definitely return.More

Very good hotel
We had an amazing one week stay at the Louis Ledra Beach. This is a really excellent hotel so anything I critique is just nit picking to help highlight some of the very minor issues. The Hotel was very relaxing and staff were always cheerful and on hand to help. Variety of food was not as extensive as some other comparable size hotels we have stayed at but the quality of the food is really excellent and possibly the best we have experienced. There were always sunbeds available at the beach and pool area and if not the life guards were always happy to find some for us. The variety of drinks was adequate but the local wines were a bit watery, particularly at the pool bars. The small beach was very nice and quiet with plenty of room although getting into the sea was a bit of an issue because there is only one corner of the beach where it is comfortable to walk into the water without rocks underfoot. The rest of the beach is a bit rocky for children. The rooms are very typical. Clean and equipped with everything you need. The hotel is about a 20/25 minute walk to Pathos and the walk is extremely pleasant in the evenings. We walked it a few times and caught a taxi back at the fixed 8 euro taxi fare. Entertainment organised by the animation team was very good but more appropriate for a younger audience. On the whole the facilities were really excellent and the hotel deserves a very positive review.More

We have recently come back from a 10 night stay here, where we got married at the hotel. I can't express how much everything was perfect from our arrival to our departure. All staff were amazing, friendly & couldn't do enough for us. Jan was amazing & is a huge credit to the team, she organised everything for our wedding right down to the last details. Stephanie kept us all hydrated during our wedding day & all guests commented on her service. Rodica our maid was amazing to, her attention to detail & friendliness was impeccable & we were sad to leave. Our wedding was perfect from start to finish, the hotel listened to what we wanted & nothing was to much trouble, we can't thank them enough for making our day so special. The hotel manager always spoke & the lady on reception who's name I can't remember always made the effort to make sure we had everything. We had a party of 31 of us for the wedding & every single guest only had positive comments to make. The food was fantastic to, always a good variety & something for everyone. The hotel was always clean. I cannot recommend this hotel enoughMore

An excellent hotel that has outstanding facilities! Went here with my wife and 15 month old daughter. Really good facilities for children, the staff were always happy to help with high chairs etc. The only downside is I don't think it's truly all inclusive, you have to pay for any milkshakes which is a little unfair.
